you cant. assuming you have a retail verizon s5 it cannot have cm12 installed. only dev ed is able to run custom roms like cm12.
You can only use stock based roms which you have to odin back to a 4.4.x rom and ncg kernel so you can root and install safestrap then flash the rom available (theres a few stock based roms in our dev section) and flash corresponding firmware in odin afterwards.

Ok, so this safestrap thing is confusing me a bit. Currently, I am running Android 4.3 If I want to install a KitKat rom, would I have to update my phone to the newest AT&T build, or can I install the 4.4 rom onto my phone. Also, would I put it in a rom slot or could I install it in the Stock ROM slot?
Nope. Different kernels.

Yes, you can stay on MK2 base and flash 4.4 KK ROM's via SS. See post#108 in this thread for how to flash the the latest stock 4.4 ROM for our device: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2665336&page=11
Do not flash any files containing bootloaders. If you flash the NB1 bootloader you will be stuck and no longer able to go back to factory stack MK2.
Hello guys. I need an advice pls.
I flashed a galaxy s4 i9500 (international) with sokp Rom. (Aosp based 4.4 Rom)
Now I want to flash a pure stock 4.4 Rom. Which I never had on my device. I started with custom Roms from 4.2.2, moved to 4.3 and then the custom Sokp Rom. So I need words of advice.
Is there a flashable latest stock rom which I can flash in twrp? If yes, are the steps the same as flashing custom Rom?
Where can I get a link if such?
Thanks in advance.

You can flash through odin a stock rom from sammobile or a custom rom generated from stock from xda where you can flash the zip file you pput on the microsd card for i.e. with recovery. But original stock rom which might be used to restore original condition (for warranty reasons for i.e.) should be flashed with odin or kies.

You can do only a Hybrid NC2 ( MGL frameworks), I already tryed a full deodexed NC2 and it would not show on screen(black screen) it require's NC2 firmware files,in which we cannot get a NC2 recovery or NON-HLOS.bin, it requires root to pull from phone(unless some one can some how manually patch)
that's how I messed up flashing the NB2 firmware (the parts from OTA)
Not working?
I am on a rooted NB4 stock with safestrap. I made a new ROM slot and installed this file in there via safestrap recovery. Upon reboot I only get a black screen (with the blue LED flickering). It seems to me that the /system alone is not enough to run a KK rom like this one. Am I missing something?

you have to install the togetboot files (MBL firmware)
what you need is the MGL firmware to boot
You have to be on KitKat already to flash. And you have to put it in stock slot.
It's based on international nc2 like dynamic.

maybe try sec_csc.zip, you might have to use binary.update from your rom install, to use with safestrap recovery .
but I know it fixes FC on the stock (MGL) key board
For AT&T N900A?
Two silly questions, can I use it for AT&T N900A? Is it a KitKat?

If your ATT Note 3 was not rooted prior to the 4.4 OTA, no you cant install this. A bit of searching would help you
If your ATT Note 3 came with 4.4 installed, you're SOL waiting like the rest of us.
So if I want the closest one to original, this is the one right?
Also, I'm on DK extreme 1.3, can I flash this using SS 3.72? T
TIA
Currently I'm on a Pre-rooted stock ROM and would really like to update as stock OTA is not working.
Info:
Model : GT-I9505
Android : 4.2.2
Baseband : I9505XXUBMGA
Kernel : 3.4.0-1081224
Build number : JDQ39.I9505XXUBMGA
So, I don't have the newer bootloader with KNOX yet.
Further, I already installed CWM 6.0.4.4 recovery
My questions:
Can I simply install CM10.2.1 or CM 11.2 through CWM?
Or do I have to update the bootloader first or does it include in CM?
Is there a catch in updating my phone concerning KNOX and chance of bricking?
I'm I stuck on CM or can I always revert to my backup of rooted stock 4.2.2?
Thanx in advance for any help.
I searched, but couldn't find correct answers...
Yes you can just install cm but if you try to install newer touchwiz roms then you need to change your modem. And wrong section....

So KNOX is all about stock Samsung ROMs?
And I don't need an updated bootloader for all other ROMs like CM and OMEGA and can switch between them without issues?
yes.

Knox is basically a counter to counter rooters. You should be able to flash any ROM like normal but there may be some changed needed to be done for the modem. I'm sure there are multiple threads about the i9505 modems...

My phone is already rooted and has a custom rom installed for 4.4.2 kitkat, if I wish to install a lollipop custom rom, Do I need to unroot and whatnot and get the official update and then root and install the custom lollipop rom? Or can I just simply install the lollipop custom rom straight up?

You can flash the new rom directly as per the instructions given by the developer no need to unroot and all that.
