[Q] Nexus 10 won't reboot - Nexus 10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My Nexus 10 not rooted running Lollipop. Have not had any issues with it. Yesterday I was downloading an app but it froze in the middle of the download. Waited for it for a while but then decided to turn off and on. After turning it off the tablet won't turn back on. It stays in the boot loader screen with the four colors swirling around. Can't get it past this.

Search how to get in and how to use stock recovery to wipe cache, see if that solves it. Keep in mind that the first boot after wiping caches will be slower than normal. Max 15min.

Vega keeps getting stuck on stale boot

I recently bought a vega for someone as a christmas present, installed modded stock v2. rebooted into recovery, wiped data, davlik cache and cache partition. Then installed vegacomb 9n and the update 3 and rebooted.
All seemed fine and vegacomb was working. Rebooted the vega and it gets stuck on stale boot (backlight on but blank screen). turned it off (held power button for about 6 seconds) and back on again and still stuck with backlight on but blank screen.
I don't want to have to keep reinstalling it every time I turn it off, and the person I bought it for would obviously like to use it.
Any ideas?
there is a lot of this happening with this honeycomb 3.2 roms. i think its something not right wiht the boot loader. some tablets display the usb boot loader message some just show a blank screen. either way the only way to fix it is to reflash it again.
this happened to me and i just went back to stock 2.2 firmware. its not pretty but it works and is reliable enough to leave with the wife without any complaints that its not working.

[Q&A] [ROM] Omega v2.1 boot loop after enable ultra low power saving mode S5 SM-G900I

[Q&A] [ROM] Omega v2.1 boot loop after enable ultra low power saving mode S5 SM-G900I
Hi all,
Long time lurker, first time poster!
I need some assistance on what I can do to get my rooted Telstra (AUS) Galaxy S5 (SM-G900I) phone to get out of boot loop (or hang). Currently running Omega v2.1 and TWRP 2.8.5.0.
Problem first started when I enabled ultra low power saving mode and then rebooted my phone (using 4 way reboot menu, fast reboot) as it became non-responsive after enabling it. When the phone tried to reboot, it got to the omega logo and it now just spins around and around. I've left it for a good 10 minutes or so but it keeps spinning. Took out battery for 30 seconds, does the same thing when booting up again.
So first step I tried was going into TWRP, made a backup of all partitions to my external SD, then wiped dalvik cache and normal cache. Tried booting into Omega after that and it does the whole "Andriod is upgrading" thing and goes through all the 300 or so apps, then it goes to the "Starting apps." and the screen goes from blue-ish to black and white (as if ultra power saving mode is on) and stays on that screen, no boot. I suspect that because that mode is on that the CPU is throttled down a lot and it's going to take forever to get anywhere. If that's not the case, something else could be wrong however you can clearly watch it go from a blue-ish box to black and white. It's been "Starting apps." for about 15 minutes now. (edit: wrote this entire thread, 30 minutes now still sitting on "starting apps") (Edit2: it has been 24 hours since this thread post and it is still stuck on "starting apps").
Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to get it out of ultra low power saving mode without being able to boot into Omega? Or any ideas on how to get it to boot fully? It seems to make it quite far into the boot process but it won't fully boot. Battery has to be taken out for reboot as it just doesn't boot. I'd like to avoid a full wipe if possible but if that's the only option I guess I'll have to take it.
Any tips would be appreciated!
FIXED
Hi all,
I fixed the problem by taking a stab in the dark and flashing with the original Omega ROM (v2.1) again and NOT doing a full wipe. This wiped the SYSTEM partition reinstalled all the apps (where the problem was) and installed Omega ROM again. It booted fine and it was still on ultra low power saving mode when I landed at the home screen. Everything was 100% intact!
Just in case anyone comes into this situation: find the exact image of the ROM you have installed and flash it (NO FULL WIPE) again and you'll clear the system partition and reinstall all the apps. Should clear up this issue if you can't get past the boot logo or have some corrupt app stopping the boot.

Screen Black out - Factory Reset is the temporary fix(HELL!)

I am have been facing some kind of weird issue from past few days. It made me reset my phone for bringing it's life back.(HELL)
I am on stock CM12 with stock kernel.(Didn't root)
Issue:
♦After regular usage(hardly 10-20 apps other than stock), kept it aside. When I tried to access mobile later, I unlocked the mobile, the capacitive lights at the bottom (Key guard) lighten up but screen was not awake.I waited for some time, but the problem persisted.
♦I pressed the power button for few minutes and mobile restarted. The screen worked until Cyanogen boot logo, the OS booted up, screen was kind of on for 5 seconds and the problem started again. I made many restarts but couldn't get rid of it.
♦Later I booted into recovery, wiped cache hoping it could rectify the problem but it made things worsen. After rebooting from recovery, the OS was now stuck on Cyanogen boot logo.
♦It forced me to wipe data/factory reset mobile from recovery which made the mobile work but with it's sole lost(Data).
It's quite frustrating issue as I faced it for the second time today in few days.
Please help if anyone knows whats the problem.

Nexus 10 powers off during boot screen

Hey all,
Just some details before the background.
I was running a stock with a unlocked bootloader for a while now. I basically only use my nexus now to watch netflixs and HBOgo. Got the tablet over four years ago.
This morning after it's nightly charge I went to unlock it and it froze up. I rebooted it, noticed the date was off (Jan 1st) and froze after I unlocked it. Reboot again, it made it to the screen where it was optimizing my apps but the screen starting flickering and having artifacts, and powered off. Now it will power itself off 5 or so seconds into the boot animation.
I've tried going into recovery via the bootloader but when I select it and hit the power button it just turns it self off. I then used the nexus toolbox to reflash a stock rom (along with a factory reset), and TWRP. I tried booting up again and same thing. I then went into TWRP and start troubleshooting, but the screen is starting to flicker and have artifacts, then powers off.
Is the hardware dead on this?
Sorry for the jumbled mess of details, i've been bouncing around trying to troubleshoot/fix this.
PIT files
PIT files
My nexus 10 has the boot loop problem and I think I have been left with the only option of Re-Partition but I need the PIT file. Can anybody help or provide this file?
I have tried everything else (fastboot, adb, temporary custom recoveries, Nexus Root Toolkit) with no success.
Is the battery original? If so, it's possible the battery could be reaching its end.

[Q] does anybody else have these problems?

ok so first off this phone was brand new when i got it 6 months ago. no matter what rom i flash or kernel combo, my phone always ends up 'freezing' up on me. after sitting there staring at the unresponsive phone i will either yank the battery or keycombo reboot. upon trying to boot again it doesnt get past the red and blue writing about enforcing whatever just sits there. so i boot to twrp but it hangs at splash screen if i wait a long time it will eventually go but im talking like 30 mins. weird right? when i do get back in i can restore a backup or wipe, clearing cache and dalvik does nothing it just sits at boot logo. and flashing kernels does nothing. what could be doing this?
