So, the lag is annoying but since lollipop I can't get sound from the official dock.
Only from the nexus 7 speaker, seems to charge and recognise it's on a dock but there only reason for the dock is the line out...
There used to be some settings in the sound menu for this but there is nothing there any longer - can anyone help?
Seriously regretting this update might just root and get something usable on it!
no one?

Hey guys!
I upgraded my I9300GT to the official 4.1.1 build last night. I really like it so far. However, upon doing my commute this morning, I noticed problems with my car dock:
Car Dock no longer charges the phone.
Audio Out doesn't output any sound.
I had Car Home Ultra installed and that was it. My car dock is the Galaxy S2 Dock. I couldn't find any similar issue by using the search tool.
Any suggestions besides reverting back to 4.0?
Thanks!!
Far as I know it's a Samsung screw up and for the moment car dock functionality is broken.
See this page for discussion on the issue: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1879633
Hey all. I just got my Note 3 two weeks ago and I love it. The battery life is great, great specs, unlocked bootloader, and I find it easier to use in terms of size compared to the Galaxy S5. There is only ONE problem with this device.
The mic stops working during skype calls after random periods and the only solution is to hang up the call and call again. This lingers even after restarts of the app and phone.
Being a Nexus user since the Galaxy Nexus, the first thing I did was install TWRP and the latest CM nightly. I personally can't stand Touchwiz, which is why I sold my bootloader-locked GS5 to get this bad boy.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is it a Skype problem? Is it CM? Lollipop? My mic is fine, it works perfectly in every other application.
Also, I've noticed that USB 3.0 mode doesn't show up in the Connection type selection menu. Is USB 3.0 file transfer only supported in the stock kernel?
Hi
Just got a new S Cover with wireless charging for my Note 3. The charging and NFC work quite well.
Phone unlocking by flipping the cover works perfectly. I can also accept or reject calls using S View.
The problem is with the idle S View mode. On the bottom where the camera, missed calls (if there are any) and (I presume) settings buttons are there is some sort of overlay stating "Open the Cover" which doesn't let me use the buttons.
The phone is N9005 Note 3 running official 5.0 OTA update.
Couldn't find anything resembling this so I hope you guys can help.
I have previously used non-wireless S Cover whilst still on Android 4.4 and it worked fine.
I haven't tried to use that with Lollipop because it wasn't compatible wireless charging and it seemed more important to me.
Not sure if that is important, might try to find it and try if that works.
So I bought this Chinese car stereo from Amazon that has screen mirroring. On marshmallow when I plug my phone in it puts my screen right on my stereo, but since the nougat update it no longer works. Any ideas on what has changed or if anything I can disable to make this work again? I can show pictures or whatever else you guys may need so that we can get this figured out. The app that it uses as some Chinese Sunway app that the stereo installs on your phone. For now I've rolled back to marshmallow but I keep getting nagged 24/7 about the nougat update and it's driving me crazy. Thanks in advance to all that help.

you need to update your car stereo with the latest firmware which will allow nougat to work.
It may take some time before the stereo manufacturer rolls out an update as nougat is still new and car updates will need to play catch up.
It's not upgradeable unfortunately. So I'm just trying to figure out something else that'll work because that's the main reason I bought this stereo but I feel the constant notification to update my phone is eating my battery
Hello,
I just bought a moto X style 32gb, it works well except one thing : when I close the app drawer, sometimes it gets choppy, more when it comes to the home page at the same time. The weirdest thing is I got the exact same glitch with any third party launcher including nova.
I'm on stock 6.0.1 last update. I tried Factory reset, absolutely no app installed and still got the issue. The only workaround is to unable hw overlay, but then it is transitions which get choppy.
Didn't find any similar thread.
Thanks for helping.
Haven't heard of this... does it do it in safe mode?
Thanks for answering.
Yes it does the same thing un safe mode.
I managed to avoid this laggy animation by setting force GPU rendering and disable hw overlay. With these 2 options set together I got rider of any lag. But I assume it will make battery life suffer a little.
I'm tempted to Root and install some nougat Custom rom since we still don't know when we will exactly get it on OTA, maybe this summer... Which is long.

I've just done the same seems like the phone's bit more fluent. I woudln't bother with this Nougat ROM's as they say battery life is worse. I was thinking about unlocking the phone but my speaker grill is loose like it's hanging on one leg and I'm willing to sent it for on warranty heh. Also I found out that if You sent Your phone on warranty they're gonna changr Your back cover because it's mandatory part - the technician has to order it if he's loging the phone so You have like half refurb if U sent it on some software issue or whatever - they have to open the phone to check for liquids or whatever.
After some testing, I confirm the dev options make things better but still far from perfect. Still some micro lag when opening closing app drawer, and when opening a new page in chrome.
I don't understand this behaviour since I didn't find anything on internet, and I didn't have these issues with a LG G4 which has the same hardware, and notre running aosp like moto does more or less. I thought it would running better!
I'm gonna send it back as I bought it on Amazon a week ago.
