Here's a root directory
How to Root Any Device
You can try those, but please note that not every device is able to be rooted, and yours might fall into that category.

I'm going to have this thread moved to the Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting section to hopefully get you some more exposure.

I had luck using DP Tools

If you are still having this problem, try Kingroot. It worked for me when nothing else did. I posted a thread here.http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/root-verizon-g-pad-7-vk410-lollipop-t3149501

Hi All,
I'm having trouble finding a guide for my exact version of my 6 Edge Plus. My Baseband version is G928VVRU2BPD4. I have found this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/s6-edge-plus/general/guide-6-0-1-g928fxxs2bpd2-t3371526) but I'm not sure if it will work for me?
If someone could point me in the correct direction, or let me know if the guide that I linked to above will work for me - I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!
I have the same phone and did not see my exact model on CF Auto-Root.
Anyone have any information regarding a easy root for this phone? SM-G928V

Most Verizon devices can't be rooted....
Old thread, I know, but I'm desperate. Is it still the case that this Verizon model can't be rooted? No way around it? I need to root my phone in order to do a deep scan for deleted files.

I'm also looking for a root all over the internet, Why is this model not being looked into anymore? i know the phones 2 years old, but cmon. I assume it cant be rooted because of the bootloader being locked tighter then fort knox itself. Verizon devices are notorious for having extra security.
Finally Root
Hey man, i finally got root for SM-G928V, this soluction is the app Wondershare MobileGo (PC), he have a built-in root application.

Nope. I downloaded it, does nothing. Cant even detect my phone. Its a waste of time. The bootloader cannot be unlocked on this model because of Verizon and no one is working on a root method because the device is already too old. Im going to sell it and upgrade to a S7 edge. Right now you can get a used S7 edge on ebay for under $250. Just avoid the verizon models.
Its been a while since I have used this site or rooted anything. I have a Version LG V20 but im using it on T-Mobile. I need to root to get hotspot working (or like foxfi which i have but its not updated for wifi with V20 Yet)
Anyway, regardless of alternative solutions I think I just want to root the device, can anyone point me in the right direction as to where to get started?

T mobile has it's own root. DO not do the dirty santa root. You will brick the device. Check the dev section for t mobile root.

He has a verizon device on tmobile service.
How did you get your Verizon v20 to work on T-Mobile? I can't get phone and data to work at the same time,When I do after a couple of minutes I lose all signal.Would love some info if available. I thought it wouldn't be a issue. My moto z and z force worked with no issue what so ever on T-Mobile.

Is your phone model VS995? Then you need Dirty Santa method.
Is your phone model h918? Then you need Dirty Cow.
The provider you are on doesn't matter. It is the phone model that matters.

Nogut can't be rooted using KingoRoot
You have to flash some custom recovery for your device and flash SuperSU using it.

(NM XDA Forum not allowing external links... sigh)
Author or tutorial/walk through is Abdul Razaaq. Google him and LG Stylo 2 Root and hopefully you find the guide if anyone wants to give it a try.
I'm Stylo 2 6.0.1 marshmellow, but just got it and am not ready to make a mistake yet. Wonder if the above link would help the OP with Nougat as well. Anyone with any help to rooting the LG Stylo 2, please chime in. Really want to have control over what apps are taking up the internal storage.

You have Android 7.0 on the LG Stylo 2?
1) How did you get that? I thought it was on 6.x?
2) Why do you want to root? You're already updated.

I'm thinking about buying this phone, did you really get 7.0? That would be awesome! Can you post a screenshot?
I would be happy with Android 7.0 but I'd be happier with root too so I can uninstall the bloatware. Does this phone come with a lot of bloat?

Yes I believe that's the link I looked at a while back. Still using my Stylo 2 unrooted. I find it more enjoyable to use than the iphone 6s my job issued me. It's a good phone. It bugs me that it has 16GB storage and is tight for space. The android OS should be around 5-6GB. That means Cricket and/or LG have a ton of garbage I should be able to remove but cannot. Hopefully a good method becomes available and the Stylo 2 doesn't go forgotten by the rooting community. My next phone will be a Samsung solely because they are more supported in the realm of rooting hacking of the device.
That being said this phone and the carrier (Cricket) has been better than expected. Good luck to you.
Anyone
Anyone figure this out yet? Running 7.0 stylo 2 boost mobile
Storage and root maybe

Sorry for not responding directly to you but to root you can go to my thread (Link in my signature) and if you look at the bottom, there will be another link!
If you cant see my signature, then you are probably on moble and will need to go on computer to view and root the device anyways.

You have a root for boost mobile ls775. 7.0 zvb. ?
Ive looked around I'm the forum and can't find anything 7.0 specific. I'm not sure if its still a reliable option as I havent used it since my s3, but one click root says it will work with 7.0.
Anyone have an input or a link for a full on tutorial. I dont mind manually doing it as I said I couldn't find 7.0 specific threads.
Not sure if it matters but my software version is VS99T14B.
Thank you.
Vs995 is rooted. gotta downgrade from 14B though. the stock firmware is 7.0 so the only root related threads are FOR 7.0. You need to use Dirtysanta

Hello folks
I never used Android without root but looks like NO NO for this device.
Is there a root out there for this LG phone ? LG V20 LS997 ZV7 which I assume is version 7. I tried some auto root software but no luck. Looks like LG is not popular here. Phone is not bad but if I can root it .
Thanks in Advance for responding.
No root yet. There are some people still working on it.
Also the g5 and g6 forums are also working on it as far as i've been able to find though search.

loopytee: how did you do it??
If you do a search, there is a thread on how to use the VS995 KDZ to roll back, and then flash the Sprint firmware back on the phone after you are rooted....
Remember folks search is your friend.
