I have a new Note 4 on German android 5.01 unlocked and can't get bluetooth tethering to work. It works for a few seconds and then disconnects. Wifi tethering works fine. Tried to reinstall bluetooth etc. etc. but the problem persist.
Can't find any threads about it so I guess its someting wrong with my setup?
Thanks /Voz
Strange enough today the Bluetooth tethering started to work. Nothing changed in the phone. Anyways happy now.
Still have trouble, works for awhile and then lose ip, have to reconnect Bluetooth.

Hey guys, newbie user and android owner.
I picked up the vibrant the other day. So far its rooted, android-wifi-tether, and i performed the gps fix on it.
I really like the phone, but whenever I connect to my wifi router, it stops all data (android market, web browser, etc) It says connected and doesn't show any signs of problems. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks for any help you can throw my way.
Hmm. Mine has problems with "No Connection" when it's connected to my wireless at home, but I just figured it was my router's fault since my computer gives me the "unable to load web page" thing all the time too. My router sucks, though. Maybe your does too?
Yeah, mine does it sometimes too. I just turn on airplane mode, and turn it back off...works fine after that. Its a hit or miss issue.
Mine works fine running off if my router. Btw, do you actually have the wi-fi tether working? Because I thought we needed a working kernal for that to work.
Feeling Vibrant on xda-app
Yup that did it for me. All I had to do was turn on airplane mode and then turn it back off. Wifi working for me now. Thanks.

Please tell us how you got wifi tethering to work without a custom kernel.
From XDA App on SGS-Vibrant
you know, i have a similar issue, where im connected to my router but i dont get internet and 3g goes away the moment i connect to wifi... airplane mode didnt help tho... its interesting really..
ive tried other routers and my phone can get wifi w/internet from them
i did factory reset on my phone 3 times trying to figure this out; 2 of the three times i got wifi to work w/internet until i disconnected and connected again. then i just got the same problem all over again
It's been working fine until a few days ago when I connected my N7 to my phone using Foxfi. It connects to the wifi hotspot fine, but the wifi signal is greyed out in the navbar and I can't get any kind of connection while on foxfi's wifi. My regular home wifi works fine though.
I've tried turning wifi on/off and still don't get anything from foxfi anymore. Anyone else have this problem and have an idea on how to fix it? Again, it was working fine from day 1 and it's only started doing this a couple days ago and I haven't changed any ROM or anything to it.
Also, my weather widget seems to have stopped updating, its showing 27F as the current temp, which it's clearly 90+ right now.
Foxfi works fine on my N7, but it can be flaky. Sometime it shows up as out of range despite being next to my phone. Restarting Foxfi fixes it for me.

Hi all,
Been using my GT-i9505 for a while now completely fine. Used WiFi fine etc. However I've moved back to uni where I don't get WiFi and so I use connectify via my laptop and a wired connection to transmit a WiFi signal. I've used this for a few months perfectly fine for my iPhone and tablet (transformer infinity).
The issue that arises is that my gs4 connects fine and stats connected no issues. The data arrows flash orange and green but the data seems to stop working.
Best example is whatsapp which will not send messages or at best has a huge delay.
I rectified this by turning off Wi-Fi power save which fixed the issue but is bit really a fix SD this literally ate battery like nothing else. So wondered if there is s fix or anything I can do phone or computer side to fix this?

Hi,
I'm having problems with my internet over wifi. Router can only be found when Bluetooth is turned of!? With Bluetooth on there are only 1-2 routers around found - instead of 10 when Bluetooth is off. This is realy a mess, cause I need Bluetooth for my Sony Smarwatch.
Here (in Germany), some people seem to have the same problem. Does someone know how to fix it? (by the way: everything went fine for a lobg time and all other devices doesn't have any problems with my router).

On which band does your router work? Instead of "Auto", try setting your WiFi band to "2.4GHz" and see if you're able to discover your router.
I have tried that, but it didn't work. In the meantime there are more and more german people having this problem and they all didn't change anything. Could it be that an (german) app-update kill the wifi/bluetooth drivers?

Works flawless here.

You can try to switch to the 5GHz band, maybe it will fix the interference.
Hello.
I have this strange problem. When I have Bluetooth on and try to set up a WiFi hotspot, my mate 9 pro is dropping the connected device. Then the device is connected again, and the connection drops again.. Not stable at all!
But! When I disable Bluetooth, everything is fine! The WiFi hotspot is stable and working like it should.. Anyone have the same problem? Maybe know how to fix it? I think after the update to b229 my Bluetooth has been a bit buggy also..
