Is it worth installing the Stock 4.4.2

Is it worth installing the Stock 4.4.2 ?
and Why as the device is already Flagged

i think its better not to upgrade now, because the current firmwares have some bugs, and if you upgrade to 4.4.2 you cant go back, so wait for a better firmware....i upgraded to 4.4.2 and i regret that...

I agree. I won't recommend the update either. The overall experience will be a little more smoother, but in the expense of lack of custom kernel (i9500 only), and that long email list jerkiness. Jelly Bean is stable enough imo.

If u hav i9500 then u should flash stock 4.4.2 its stable smooth nd more free ram is available on 4.4.2

Its good idea to upgrade. I've upgraded my i9505 to 4.4.2 and it runs very good without single problem. I recommended. :good:

I just installed it and bumped with the CSC Conflicts where booting with no modems, wifi etc...... until I found a fix
Now it's running fine nevertheless I rooted it to install the framework etc...
Will keep an eye on the battery and keep you guys posted
Will miss the Pure Android Feel for a few days I guess

Really it is very good to upgrade! Better Ram management. Mine never lagged or frilled.

If you want to flash a firmware via Odin then use the AP slot for the firmware. CP is for the modem.

nope, the bootloader is locked, you can only stay on 4.4.2. I read it somewhere but I forgot it :/

Sorry to post this here but I´m not allowed to post in his thread, but here´s my question:
Is there any way of installing this ROM on a phone with new NB8 bootloader? All I saw was you need MF9 bootloader but there must be another way this ROM looks really interesting to me!

Hi thanks for your answer but he wrote you need MF9 bootloader.
But I think when you have the old Bootloader this ROM won't upgrade it, maybe that's the reason.

Well the bootloader is newer on the 1 you have so I'd imagine you wouldn't get any wifi or other sound issues ?
You can always attempt it but back up your present ROM in case it fails
Or send sac's a pm ?

LG G2 D802 cant install TWRP

Sup guys. I got a problem with mine D802 ://
I just got it yesterday, i was happy, everythin ok. But i found a tweak on phonearena how to make ur camera better (4k , slow motion vid ). It needs root and TWRP.
I rooted my G2 , checked the root, everythin is OK. But when i try to go to recovery . or use flashify to install TWRP it says SECURE BOOT ( error or smthing like that )
Please help me guys

It appeared like that. Reboot to system. Enable developer settings and enable advanced reboot menu. Reboot to recovery. You should be able to do that. Twrp does not work at this moment so settle for open recovery.

it was not Booting after a While to Recovery or System what i did was use this Method:

then you will be able get into stock recovery,from there you cn simply intsall oos 2.2 complete zip and reboot ,you will be able to install twrp again

I did restored OOS 2.2.2 with this Tutorial , Easiest to Restore in Minutes.
ONE PLUS IT IS SOO ANNOYING..

How is it annoying?
You guys are just too stupid to read what others are telling since noon.
It's a beta, and they recommend the use with everything on stock.
Trial and error also has consequences that you are not willing to face, so it seems that you're completely wrong or not being able to wait some hours.

I gonna go Ahead and wait for a FINAL Build of OxygenOS 3.x.x for the OnePlus X and useing Custom Roms for this while its in the Works

Well...it is possible to root OOS3 Community build....I did it and it works fine!

It reboot once and then and then it says unable to root (don't remember the exact message)

just tried to download from apkmirror last google play services and framework but i always have crashes around all apps coming from Play Store.
How is possible that only me have this crashes ? Bah

Hope you can add all the new Google framework and apps inside your rom so i ca n see if i ca solve my crashes problems. I doubt could be HW problems

Hello!
My Elephone S8 arrived today and I like it very much so far. But like on all of my phones & tablets I'd like to have root access to install a firewall, deal with autostarting apps, etc.
Has anyone tried a one-click-root sollution with success? I tried out Kingo root, towel root, kingroot, oneklickroot, root genius, drfone and root master but none of them worked.

I was going to root my phone today with the suggested method and now I'm glad I did not. I think I will wait for a working one-klick-solution without modding the system files.

So, what does that mean? Will the OTA updates never work on a rooted device, no matter how it was rooted?

Hello skeleton1911.
I flashed your boot.img and my Elephone S8 is rooted. Thank you. But as mentioned before, the OTA update detected root and refused to update. So I flashed the boot.img from the stock ROM and bricked the phone. It will not boot up. So I have to flash the root back again to start the phone.
Is there a way to unroot the phone so that it can be updated? Thank you!
