Is anyone else experiencing a buggy screen during charge. I used touch test to see what's going on during charge and it shows really jumpy and nonresponsive jumps.
I charge with a generic cable rather than stock, and I'm using a Motorola charger with a mini f to micro m adapter.
I'm not sure whether it's my phone or these wires. You guys get the same problems?
Sidenote: Charging my HTC Aria with these cables, theres no problems.
I noticed the phone is picky about chargers. I used a travel charger I bought for my blackberry and the screen was unresponsive. Used me blackberry branded charger and it worked fine.

It is your cable setup- there are posts on other forums. If you use the Moto cable and charger you will be fine.
I have the same problem. I'm using the moto cable and charger but using a dc to ac inverter in my car.
So I went to plug in my phone using the stock charger and it would not charge. The charger would however charge other devices including my N7. I tried several different chargers and none would charge it. My N7 charger was here at work so I could not try that until now. Plug it in and instantly charging. Why would the N4 charger quit working on the phone but still charge other things.
Im so confused!
It probably has something to do with the terminals inside the connector. They must not be making a solid connection
the wall plug in part of the stock charger is junk. mine makes a loud ticking noise and gets really hot. i don't trust it, i use the stock charging wire with an old HTC plug in and its been problem free

Sometimes when I charge my phone I get spikes of charging then not charging. Wonder if this is a problem with the USB port or its just a dust issue there?

I think this phone just has a retarded charging port. The plug doesn't stay in securely which causes the phone to charge slow, first of all. And I recently started having the problem you described. It will say charging, not charging back and forth a bunch of times. Are you using a case? When this happens, I take off my case to make sure the plug is in there securely and I also make sure the AC adapter is plugged into the wall securely and that the USB plug is plugged into the AC adapter securely as well. This usually helps.
Charging this phone is such a headache sometimes.
That happened to me like a month ago and the charger was the culprit. But I also had slow charging (even with the wall adapter, it would eventually change to USB charging) and it wouldn't reach full charge. You might want to try another charger, just in case.

I've seen this also and cleaned my USB pins...seemed to help.

I have to agree. I am using a different charger because the one it came with sucks. I would wake up to a phone that had 50% even though it was on the charger all night.

My Nexus 4 does this when I use the LG USB cable, but I don't remember if it happened with the stock charger. I lost that a long time ago, and now I use the charger from my old Motorola Atrix, which works fine if I use a cable other than the LG cable. I think my cable is damaged, but it feels like the cable always did that. If I plug my dads Atrix HD into the LG cable, it does the same unstable charging as my Nexus.
I have the same issue, have tried multiple chargers and cables, even happens over Qi.
I have a replacement phone coming
Had this too, charger was broken, just try another charger first.
I'm now using a standard samsung charger
I had this problem with the official charger, but it works well when I charge it using my computer usb ports (I prefer lower current when I charge over night) and the Nexus 10 charger.
Thanks for all your responses...it seems to be better now after cleaning the ports....but still happens sometimes...I'm trying to do a RMA for it but have a question...what if during their testing it didn't happen would I need to pay for the replaced device?

Hello, i have a question.. Can i charge my gs4 with my old gs2 charger? or is there any risk to break my new phone?. The new charger cable that came with the new gs4 is really short compared to my old charger and i'm not able to use it in my bed while charging :/
You can use it but charging times will definitely be slower.

you can use the charger from your SGS2 or change the cable from your SGS4-Charger.
I use the charger of my wife, it´s a Nokia-Charger .....This cable is long enough.
I have a few questions I hope you can answer please. I don't have a Nexus 10 yet, but hope to buy one this weekend.
I understand the supplied usb cable and wall charger are not that great (slow charging?), what are you thoughts on this?
If there is an issue with the charging, is it the cable or the plug or both?
How long is the supplied USB data/charge cable?
Has anyone purchased an alternate cable or plug charger that performs better, or does anyone have any experience with the pogo magnetic charger, (I'm guessing users of this still use the supplied plug)
The cable and charger are fine. Just leave it charging over night because it can take some time to charge from 0-100%.
My cable length is about 1.5m
If you want a faster charge buy a pogo pin charger.
