Temporary fix to the Notification sound not going off. :)

Hey... I don't know if anyone has posted this here before but I found a fix to it although it's temporary (kind of). So basicly when texting I'd send my message then go to the home screen and turn the screen off, but doing that means it won't notify you to tell you you've got a new text, eg. through sound, vibration or in the status bar so I started trying somethings after each text I sent and it turns out all you need to do to make it notify you is after exiting to the home screen, just open and close the app draw Simples
Well it works for me anyway
Thanks but the???? Lol aghast you guys and your unrooted phones lol

You mean all the time or only in lock screen?
I do not know of any way to completely disable them.
Some apps, like Full Screen Caller Id, let you disable them while the device is locked.

I think I found solution.Using root explorer,I go to system/usr/keylayout/htcleo-keypad.kl and delete key 102 HOME.After rebooting my phone, everything looks ok now.

is there any apps u installed recently (any same apps u installed on stock or wanamlite roms) that u think it could be associated with the sound?
try checking in MyDevice/Accessibility/Services tthat u have allowed apps to access.
other than that I'm clueless.

[Q] Q: CM 11 disable knock on

Hey folks
Is there some way to disable knock on on CM 11?
It turns on if I just touch the screen and skips ahead in my audiobooks because of the lock screen controls. It's annoing as h****
P.s. I know how you do it on the stock LG ROMs and it's not the same.

I have CM11 installed and when I hold my phone in one hand (screen inward) my screen has already turned on, moved right, activated the camera and took a picture, and somehow pressed the home button.

I have only found one generic fix if you don't have the settings for it.
Go into a terminal emulator
Type "su" plus enter to get root
Use this command:
echo 0 > /sys/devices/virtual/input/lge_touch/touch_gesture
You have to do it after each boot so store it somewhere handy.

What ROM are you using? Try looking for 'Volume Panel Timeout' or something like that in Sound Settings.

Sorry, I've switched to a custom ROM months ago so no longer know where that option is in MIUI. Hope someone else using stock helps you out. :fingers-crossed:
