[Q] GAPPS via .zip vs Moving GAPPS with TB - Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So far I have been lead to believe that the only difference between installing GAPPS with an update.zip and installing them via the Play Store is that the update.zip will install the GAPPS to /system instead of /data. There is a feature in Titanium Backup that allows you to move apps to /system manually. Would there be any advantage or disadvantage to downloading the apps I want off of the Play store and moving them to /system myself?

Delete installed apps

My new desire says it is down to 18mb of memory.
I have rooted the phone and have access to the installed app folder if i delete some of these will i get more memory available to me?
Also i did try deleting quickoffice but it just keeps reappearing?
If you want to free up memory you need to uninstall apps that are installed in /data. This can be done via market or application management.
If you want to remove apps from /system (like quickoffice) you need to do it via recovery or S-off your desire. In your case i would wait with s-offing your desire and remove Quickoffice via recovery, just remember it won't give you more space since /data and /system are different partitions.

[Q]Both A2SD & NAND

hello every one
i wanna ask if i can use A2SD to move my apps to sd-ext BUT...
not all my apps that i wanna move so here is what i wanna do:
install some apps to internal (so that they will not be in sd-ext)
flash A2SD zip
install apps (so that the apps that i installed after flashing the A2SD zip they will be on sd-ext) and keeping my first apps that i installed be fore flashing the A2SD zip to the phone memory
is it possible ???
use link2sd from market. You can select the apps there and even what goes to sdext (dalvic, app, appdata)

[Q] CM11:moving apps to system partition - recommended?

Hi.
Since i have the LG G2 with 16GB (or 10.2 GB)version im wondering if i could move most installed apps to the system partition to keep the data space as low as possible.
1.) Is this method recommended in general?
2.) What will happen if i update my Cyanogenmod to a newer Nightly version? Will the moved apps remain in the system partition or should i move them back to /data during the update?
3.) If the apps on the system partition get an update via play store, is there a possibility, that they automatically update in the system partition or will google play make a newer "copy" of this app in the /data app parallel to the older version in the system partition?

Not able to uninstall system apps using titanium or root toolbox

Hi i just installed paranoid latest 4.4 rc1(converted to all-f2fs) using twrp 2.7.1.1.
i am surprised
what i found is the system apps are not uninstalling. both titanium backup and toolbox are saying successfull uninstall but they are not..!!
is there any problem with all-f2fs partitions..??
Nexus 7 32gb wifi (GROUPER)
twrp 2.7.1.1
paranoid 4.4 rc1 ( Converted to f2fs ROM ).
Pa-gapps-mini-module.
and i cant flash stock gapp and full gapps which are above 220MB i can understand that f2fs file system will take more storage than normal ext4. so i flashed mini module.
is there any way i can increase /system partition..??

[Q] Easy way to downgrade from official Marshmallow 6.0.1 to Lollipop 5.02

Hi Folks
Running MM on my Galaxy S4 i9505 and have made a decision that I want to revert back to LL as I am having a few daily issues and really need the functionality working as when I was on a Lollipop ROM.
I also used Link2SD which too be honest has caused me no end of problems and I dont believe it has linkedApps successfully to the SD card as I have consuming space on my phone memory at an alarming rate.
I have a titanium backups sync in the cloud and have made a TWRP backup which is stored on my phone.
My approach was to do the following and really I just want to get feedback on this:
Copy Backup files to computer
Install 3.0 TWRP version or latest verison available
clean wipe of phone/Data/SD Card
Install chosen ROM and GAPPS and if necessary kernel
Connect to Google account and install requied apps from play store.
use TB to restore only data for chosen apps
As I am going a version back would there be an issues with this when restoring my User App data and other phone related stored in google such as WIFI, Bluetooth contacts etc.
Thanks
If there any issues just reinstall the app from the play store and restore data with titanium backup.
out of interest what is the best method to partition an external SDcard when not on MM ? I've used cronmod on an ancient wildfire but never considered it for my s4...
