You can do it from the weather setting or from the lock screen setting. Go to lock screen setting, more information, weather, enable weather on lock screen and Sview. It will only show up if you have one city selected at least or if you have weather setting by location turned on and your GPS is turned on.

how and where do you select a city?
i have 'use current location' ON
i have everything done that you said, and still do not see the weather on lockscreen.
this has only been a issue after the lollipop update.

I use lollipop and it works fine with and without location on.

Hmmm, is the widget on the home screen working? Add the weather widget on the home screen. Are you on stock ROM? Which ROM are you using? Have you installed any custom mods that changed your systemui? I can tell you that it works here without any problems.

You are very welcome
I have a similar issue, but the weather seems to only update if my gps is set to "High Accuracy". I remember in KitKat, I had it set to "Power Saving" and my weather still updated.
Besides having my GPS on "High Accuracy" if I'm indoors and my GPS is not able to lock on, my weather on my Gear 2 never updates since it's tied into Samsungs default weather application.
I'm on stock de-odex Rom. Can anyone else confirm this? Much appreciated.
P.S. Other weather apps such as Beautiful Widgets update properly, even when set to "Power Saving" so I'm guessing it's an issue with Samsungs default weather app.
What is the stock weather widget? I've installed several and nothing works. I really like the weather on my lock screen. I have the Note 5. Thanks for any help

On the home page, do Menu, Home Wallpaper, Animated Wallpaper, and just pick the background of your choice. You can select animated ones, or just browse to a static image of your choice.
Edit:
I just thought, if you mean the small animation that's on the clock, I've got no idea! The description above gets rid of the weather animated background.
I'm not sure about the question too .. anyway if he meant the background, yes, that is the way.
However I'd like to get rid of the weather altogether.
the thing is when i first got the phone there was no weather at all on the clock calendar thing, but i want to get rid of that, i find it quite distracting
anyway ive just turned it on now for teh sake of peace, its annoying,

It probably wasn't there at first because it's set to use "my location" as default, and that generally doesn't work, so you get no weather.
o yeah thats right, if its my location nothing happens, it makes sense because after i deleted my location thats when it started happening, makes sense !! finally thank god
No weather animation on clock can be disabled

I've used Dutty's No Location thing to switch off the location switching as it was working fine but like others now its been updated to 1.66 its stopped.
Question though, is there any way for me to still have the weather wallpaper in the background if My Location is not working?

Two questions about the GS2's Accuweather Widget.
First, it doesn't seem to update the weather without me hitting the update sync, it also doesn't update locations like Beautiful Widgets does.
Second, I'm also using Launcher Pro, but when I try and resize the Accuweather Widget, the blue color back ground doesn't fit.
So anyone know how to resize in LP?
And get the thing to update the weather and locations?
Thanks

Go launcher, launcher pro and adw fail to resize stock widgets correcty.... You can see that in this video too

Ok, thought so on LP.
What about the updating of the Accuweather widget and locations?
I'm using the AccuWeather Wideget, and I found that disabling the "Enable current location" on AccuWeather causing the high power consumption service "Wifi Sharing Service" disappear from Battery Status list, it used to take 30-40% of my GS2 battery.

Well I've been running Launcher Pro and went back to TW4 today, I had the Accuweather widget running all day with the check mark on Enable Current Location and I have to say my battery life was much better than running Launcher Pro. I didn't use the phone that much today, sat on the desk at home, but push email from K9 was running all day a few text messages ect and for at least 3 hours it showed 100%, right now its at 95%. Thats with WiFi Bluetooth and Sync ON.
When I'm on LP I use Beautiful Widgets, I like how that widget updates your location and weather, but maybe thats whats draining my battery faster than Accuweather.
But exactly what does Enable Current Location do in Accuweather? It doesn't detect my Current location thats for sure.

Please also disable the following functions beside AccuWeather Enable Current Location:
Voice Command & Voice Talk (preloaded on GS2)
Uncheck Settings -> Use location

As my understanding, the Accuweather will keep detecting your location in certain interval to make sure it reporting the weather on your current city and display on the widget. When you have your WIFI On, and you have "Use wireless networks" checked in "Location and security", it will wake up the "Wireless Sharing" service and Accuweather or Voice Command / Voice Talk will use that "Wireless Sharing" service to keep detecting your location, that's why most of the time you see that service drain your battery for 20%-40% daily. Maybe I'm wrong but proved on my phone this method really work.

Thanks Sleepycat, please tell us the result! Hopefully the solution can temporary fix on every GS2 phones' battery problem before Samsung releasing the new firmware.
I think I might have figured out the Enable Current Location feature, it looks like it uses the GPS. Now I'm not sure if it updates on its own like Beautiful Widgets, which btw doesn't use the GPS since I always have it off.

what exactly is the point of this case? i guess getting info in the tiny window is cool and all, but i get info on the giant screen without the case. am i missing something? does the tiny window stay on constantly or something cool?
yeah, 'cause i can't use the phone all the time, the information in the sview is fine!
So you haven't frozen/turned off/delete "Weather Widget" app?
Add the Weather Widget to your homescreen and check if it updates or not? There is (if I remember right) also some settings for that widget, like update interval and so on.
Last, make sure you got WIFI/Data ON and that widget needs (I think S-View forecast is also taken using same widget) GPS turned ON, you can't manually set location.
Hope this helps

i rechecked all of them and everything is ok. the widget on home screen works like a charm but the weather information on the sview's still stuck in 0 F
Same here

Took a fresh stock rom on odin and the weather information works fine. Maybe 'cause i'm freezing some app using titanium backup.
Thanks for the help!
To bring up this old thread, does anyone know how to get the weather information in the S-View window working when you don't use Touchwiz as the default launcher? I temporarily set Touchwiz as default to access the weather widget and changed it from F to C (which worked in the S-View window), but it doesn't seem to update if you then go back to a non-stock launcher, regardless of what you set the update interval to. Mine still thinks it's 13 degrees and the icon is a night time one.
Mine is stuck too at 13 degrees C, but shows day not night.
I think this happened after the last OTA update.

I've also notice the GPS is replaced by Location in settings.
I can't tell if this automatically puts GPS on. I normally have it off.

When I updated to Lollipop a weather widget appeared on my lockscreen and I can't figure out how to remove it. Any suggestions?
I assume you're on a stock ROM. Go to Settings>Lock Screen. You should have an option to shut it off there. If not, you'll need to open the Accuweather widget settings and look for the setting there.
