I used my PC to help restore my daughters Asus ZenPhone 5. This phone uses an Intel chip so I had to install the Intel USB/ADB drivers in order to access the phone to do data backup before I reset it. Now, I plug my Samsung Note 3 back into my PC and it isn't being recognized. So far, I've uninstalled the Intel drivers, reinstalled the Samsung USB drivers and in Windows Device Manager, I've gone to the Samsung ADB and let it find the best driver. Now my phone will show up but I can't see the internal / SD card memory. How do I restore that? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Is it a windows PC? If so, you can try to revert it back to the day before you installed the intel drivers. See if that helps
Or, You try to connect a locked device?
Try to install samsung kies for updated drivers.
Windows 8.1 has the samsung drivers in windows update.

I had initial difficulties connecting via ADB. Did not see my device.
I had the USB drivers installed for my Fascinate phone, so I could mount the TAB as normal, just not recognized by ADB. When I downloaded and tried to re-install the USB drivers, PC said already installed. So, I simply re-installed the new download over the old drivers, ADB immediately recognized the TAB device.
So, Fascinate USB drivers were close but not quite complete for my Tab device.
YMMV
Heres the gyst of things real quick:
Currently Running CM7 and I want to ODIN back to stock, however every time i plug my phone to my PC the screen prompts on the lower right task bar "Installing Drivers", then i get a notification saying can't install drivers. I've tried almost everything, installing the nexus s drivers, samsung kies, and the AIO vibrant toolbox. I just can't seem to get my phone to install on my pc. Without my phone being able to plug into my PC, I can't odin back to stock because the computer doesn't read the phone. Can anyone help me with this problem?
Have you tried downloading the SDK manager and loading them from there?
same thing happened to me, first you have to find out what kind of op system ur pc is using (32 bit, 64 bit, or 86) then reinstall the driver and that should fix ur problem
samsung vibrant usb driver for windows 7 problem
I need help. I have tried to connect my PC which runs windows 7 but I couldn't install driver for w7. I have tried with lies mini but it didn't work. By the way I am using ics on my phone. Could you help me find driver for t mobile Samsung vibrant sgh t959 for windows 7. Thanks anyway.
You should be able to go into device manager and find your drivers that are already installed. "Forget" or delete them. Reboot your phone (just in case) and your computer and once both are booted up, plug your phone into the USB and W7 should be able to pull the correct drivers on-line. Has worked for me in the past.
i did what you said but windows 7 couldn't install driver. i am not sure what problem is but so annoying. i need to find some solution!
Have you tried to install the drivers before connecting the phone? Have you first tried to uninstall any old drivers? Also which drivers are you using?
go to Samsung website --> search for t959 and select it from the results --> support on the upper right --> Manuals and Downloads tab --> Software tab --> Drivers are first item
This applies to a specific device not on these forums but running Windows 8
I upgraded from Windows 7 on my Viliv N5 and now the webcam and a "Marvell 802.11 sd8686 Wireless LAN SDIO" won't start... I checked both online and computer manufacture... I got drivers from the computer manufacture that hard reboots and one from online with: "Error code:10 Device Cannot Start"
As for the webcam I might have to call the now shutdown business so I'm hoping for a fix...
Did you do an in-place upgrade, or did you do a clean install that replaced Win7? In-place is supposed to work, but in my experience it almost never does it perfectly. Clean install is the way to go. Copy your driver files to a flashdrive or something first in case Win8 can't find them, but usually it can.
Alternate option: Uninstall theoffending drivers (entirely; use Device Manager and remove the driver software). Then reboot the PC and see if it tries to load the drivers from Windows Update. This *should* find them. If it doesn't, try installing the drivers from disc / downloaded files.
Tried Windows Update as soon as I did a CLEAN install... wiped HDD incl recovery >.<
I can provide device id... and the website gives me a corrupt driver
Edit: Will do a "Dirty Install" if I reinstall stock will my key expire?
I have a Nexus 7 that used to be able to be seen (and trnasfer files) on my Win 7 64-bit Ultimate pc. It is not visible in Explorer now- think it happened after upgrade to 4.2.2
I have tried various ways and means from this site and others but still unsuccessful. My pc kept wanting to install MTP USB drivers everytime I plug the N7 into it even when I have it set as PTP; and the drivers always failed.
I downloaded the Universal naked Drivers and tried to install it as well but problem is that my device only show up as MTP USB (under portable devices) instead of as N7; and under that the drivers is always the failed MTP USB drivers. I cannot browse to install Universal Drivers here cos the pc will not accept it.
Really running out of my wits. Any advises please?
Thanks.
I had initial problems connecting to my pc after installing all the drivers from a toolkit. After searching, I followed a tip and installed pdanet on my phone and pdanet for android on my pc. Now I connect exactly like my phone or other storage with full access to the user storage on the n7 from the pc. Win 7 pro 64bit.
Am trying to get my printer to recognise my phone as a usb flash drive. The printer recognises a usb device is connected but doesn't recognise the phone, as Samsung phones seem to need dedicated drivers.
Is there anyway to add files to root of phone so a section of its memory could be used as plug and play flash drive.
.
I have the same problem on my windows xp system. It recognises it as a MTP device but doesn't find any drivers for it.
Anyone got a solution ?
Think these are drivers https://www.dropbox.com/s/xlml5e62um56qmd/SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones.exe?dl=0 if not just install kies
