[Share] Unbrick your HardBricked Mobile[Experimental][Strictly Not for NOOBS] - Moto E General

UNBRICKING GUIDE
Requirements:
1.Resistors(Yeah, U read correct )
2.USB cable
Hard bricking happens while you are flashing any custom roms or while updating your device or even also while installing some third party applications.
There are many tutorials which are already available regarding the solutions for the hardbricked phones. Here i am sharing my experience and how i resolved this problem when i faced it.This will help you to Unbrick your Hard Bricked Smartphone.
First let me remind you all, the solutions which is currently available for hard bricked devices are
1) replacing the motherboard of your device and,
2) Using JIG
Well if you hardbricked your device you can go to your nearest service centers and replace the board of your device freely if you have the warrenty otherwise you need to pay.
The other solution is using a JIG.
JIG is a device which every custom rom users must have. Because there are so many custom roms are available in the net, and you cannot predict which one is stable and which one is not. so if you flashed your device with a dumb rom you probably enters into hardbrick so again and again you cannot go to the service centers and ask for motherboard replacement. So this problem can be overcome with the use of JIG.
Well JIG is a small electronic circuit, which can b self prepared.
To prepare JIG all you need is a data cable of your device and six ( 100 or 300k ohms ) resistors.
Let me tell you, in some cases 100k wont work, during that case you need to use 300k ohms resistors.
All you need to do is, first trim your data cable by cutting it as i hav shown in the figure.
join 3 resistors of 300k ohms resistors. After doing this plug your trimmed data cable pin to your device, and take the resistors that you hav joined and try to connect one end of the resistor to the pin 2 in the datacable and one more end of the resistor to the another end of the data cable. if it didnt work try to add one more resitor to your resistor set and try. Definitely it will work.
This will force ur device to enter download mode, then flash a stock rom from fastboot.
This is how one can overcome from the hardbricked android device. I tried this in my previous device. It may Work on Moto E.
NOOBS STAY AWAY FROM THIS !! DON'T EVER COMPLAIN THAT YOU DID NOT SUCCEED.YOU HAVE TO BE PATIENT AND HAVE A LITTLE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT ELECTRONICS. IT WORKED IN MY CASE.

The guide is awesome
Hope I never get in a situation to try it
But my friends often come in this
And this will help them

Samsung repair centres in the Uk and super hard brick, revive by USB JIG?

Does anyone know a website for official repair centres or locations in the Uk?
Also...I think I have a super hard brick as my phone is not responding to anything, PC can't detect it. Does that mean Sunsung won't know if I have flashed a custom rom and how many times?
Is it possible to revive via a USB jig and how?
Thanks.

Guess its possible if the connection drops in the middle of an installation and you`re stuck when the download might not be complete or corrupt, especialy when going from GB to ICS.

Here http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/repair/supportRepairSelfTracking.do?page=REPAIR.TRACKING
First register if you don't already have an account and request for repair. You will have the option to take it to a repair centre near you or send it to them for repair. I bricked mine when i flashed ICS, Binary count was zero but i had CMW installed. My phone was repaired free with no issues. I would advise you to just send it to them if your binary count has not increased. You will need to wait 2 weeks for repair though.
I was referring to the story I will tell Carphone Warehouse and Sunsung, I can't exactly go and tell then I flashed a custom rom that I made, they'll probably try and con me for begin so stupid for what I did.

Thanks for the advice, i've been flashing for ages now and never a problem, this is the first time I have ever bricked.
Btw...will they know my binary count with a hard brick?
I'm going to make a trip to Maplins tomorrow to buy a resistor and a connector to make a quick USB JIG before I send it off, sending it off is a last resort.
Pm me if you need any help sending it off and I will see what I can with regards a repair.

I had a superbrick, where the phone wouldn't even switch on (Also my first brick even though i've been doing it for years). So I couldn't reset any binary counters or restore any firmware to hide what i'd done. It was as it was, and I sent it off to Samsung and they replaced the motherboard FOC for me
USB JIG was no use. You may as well make yourself a JIG for future reference, but I think in this instance, it might be a waste of time.
All I said was, that I restarted the phone and after that it wouldn't switch on again - That was it. They replaced the motherboard for me

I doubt they will know if the phone does not turn on at all but if you can get to download mode so can they. And they will know your binary count from there. I have also been flashing for ages and this is my first time as well bricking a phone. It doesn't feel good at all.
I've went through the service centre and it needs to be sent off to Glasgow in Scotland, is it not possible to deliver it to a closer repair centre?

If you follow that tutorial as a guideline instead of following of step by step, and if you're trying to port a Sammy ROM, there's a good chance to succeed
But as I said, with this you can only port Samsung ROMs (obviously 4.1.1 base=4.1.1 port, and so on)
Tried to port SGS2 stock rom.
Followed step by step, flashed OK, bootlogo Samsung, then balck screen and hard brick.
Evene if I plug phone to PC and insert battery, it find something but keeps restarting so I cannot even use odin3.
So jtag or repair center.

Thats very bad news. Good luck
Doh! No download or recovery mode?
Yeah no download no recovery.
And I looked into ported rom and there is not kernel inside. Dunno what bricked it.
And for bad luck, Medusa Box broke last week. I planned to buy one next month.
But wierd is that if connected to PC, it show some device found, but keeps refreshing all the time.
Send it to my frined to jtag it, hope it will be ok next week.
Ready for next try with second phone. Hope not bricking this time again.
May the force be with you my friend
Galaxy S2 has Exynos chipset Galaxy S3 Mini has ST-Ericsson NovaThor chipset I wouldn't try it in a million years.
Thats why i am trying Xperia U.
Same chipset, almost same resolution. But it dont have JB yet
Maybe HTC Sensation? Shame I dont know those RUU numbers means what version of droid.
And all I want is change of system toggles:crying:

Return it and claim warranty, tell them that your phone suddenly went off and that you don't know the reason. They may replace the board for you.

Do you mean the bootloader that needs to be written as T-Flash to a microsd using Odin 3.09 or higher? (as per 13-58_SM-N900_Boot_Recovery_Guide_rev1.0.pdf) Isn't that just the same as sboot.bin written raw to first sectors of microsd?
I would be interested to hear if you managed to use that just for the "extreme hacking" angle of it :good:

I do not think the microsd is enough - the Note3 ONLY boots from microsd if you short R4075 on the mainboard - there is a notice from Samsung service somewhere around with a name like 13-58_SM-N900_Boot_Recovery_Guide_rev1.0.pdf that describes the details (and comes with a good picture of what you need to short).

I Hardbricked my i9500 :(

Hello XDA,
So yesterday i installed the pac-man ROM 4.4.2 on my Galaxy S4 (i9500) and all was going well. Then i tried installing Unicon ( a utility which manages your icon packs). I have installed this app on every android phone i have ever had and every time it asks me to go into xposed and enable it like it usually does.
So i go into xposed and i click on install/update. It shows a dialog saying that (some file name i don't remember) is already there and continue if you are feeling adventurous. Being the stupid person I am i continued.
After switching off the device, the screen is absolutely black and does not even go to download mode or recovery mode.
Please help me I'm almost crying as the warranty just ran out and it wont get replaced or anything. I don't even have the money to buy a new phone right now.
Please tell me what to do to fix this i don't care about the data or anything i just want my phone to be fixed please help me..........:crying:

Not an expert but try to buy an USB JIG that force your phone into download mode. At that point, you can flash a recovery or a rom directly via odin. :good:
Well, it has nothing to do with Xposed. You can almost impossible brick it that way.
Did you try a simple thing like taking the battery out?
Yes I tried removing everything I could including battery Sim card SD card. Still not working. some people have said that in hard brick their devices give out red led but my phone doesn't even do that. Its just like a brick. Your phone is not bricked. The way you descriped is almost impossible to brick it.
You got a faulty battery or a hardware failure.
Hi,
I and a friend had a similar issue to yours. Our S4 was very slow and we took out the battery, now it doesn't even show Samsung Splash Screen (same issue, different context). Unfortunately, JIG won't do the work there (I tried).
While my friend sent it to warranty I didn't have mine because it was bought in US and I'm from Brazil. It looks like a viable way of solving it is using a tool called JTAG, I'm waiting for a friend to bring to my town his JTAG to see if it works, I'll report here the results, I recommend you searching for it .

Hi,
JIG will only work
if you can get at least in Splash Screen, if it doesn't give any life signal, then I get that you can't get into Splash Screen, therefore, JIG won't do the work.

Hi,
There are people who can do the JTAG work, they charge some money but fix it. Even though it is way cheaper than getting a JTAG interface . Buying a device would be way more expensive, and I think it wouldn't be really worth, like you mentioned .

Guys, I like the talk about JTAG, but I don't think it will do him any good.
His device is not bricked. Xposed only installs in /system/bin (if I am not mistaken). Thus it's impossible to brick it that way. It does nothing to the bootloader, download mode or any other partition.
He has clearly a faulty battery or an other hardware failure. He just had bad luck imo.
Are you sure about that? I'll try changing the battery.... But as I said I can't enter download mode or recovery ,both are symptoms of a hard brick....
And any idea where I can find a person with JTAG in Gurgaon(India)?

Yureka DEAD!

Guys, i think my Yureka got hardbricked.
I updated to CM12 by downloading zip file and flashing from stock recovery. But the update sucked big time, lags, battery heating, etc. so i thought of reverting back to CM11 by fastboot method and now phone is not booting up, not able to go in recovery mode, not able to go in fastboot mode, not charging, i mean nothing! after searching internet, i came to know that u cannot downgrade from 64bit(CM12) to 32bit(CM11). I tried to recover by following this http://forum.xda-developers.com/yureka/help/question-qualcomm-download-mode-k-t3068040 but device is not getting detected in device manager, so couldnt proceed further. tried calling Yu customer care, but they wont even pick up the call. please help!

u can not revert back to cm11 from cm 12 because partition size is different for both so partition resize file needed in this direction development is already started u can see result as soon as development completed
Have anyone recovered their hard bricked yureka? So many experienced developers on xda but none are able to post successful method

My device brick after lollipop OTA update, reaching customer support was areal nightmare but today after 5 days continues efforts and 126 calls one after another i mange to get through Yu Customer care. surprisingly they got my personal details already within their systems and after reconfirming my details they agree for replacement of trans-receiver with in 10 days time. ( only trans-receiver not anything in box).
My first priority will be sale this device whenever i receive solution for brick. Cant waste time and money after micromax in future. terrible experience.

Yup, never ever buy a MMX/YU product
I pity you guys!! why don't you guys Google and find the solution... If your device is not detected on pc it isn't a big issue you can easily make your pc to recognize and then proceeding further is no tough job. All you have to do is just Google... It isn't issue with Micromax... The culprit here is cyanogenmod
