[Q] Proximity Sensor Broken? Or just needs drivers??

Hi all,
I apoligise in advance if this has been posted before but it's 4:30am and I don't have anymore time to search for this problem.
I've noticed ever since I've updated my phone to Darky's ROM (starting in dec 2010 with v8) my proximity sensor hasn't been turning my screen off during calls. I'm not sure if this is rom related or not but I ran some tests tonight (using SGS tools and sensor test/z-devicetest) and in all those apps my sensor doesn't seem to respond.
Does this mean it's broken?? Or am i missing some drivers or something??
I'm currently running DarkyROM v10.1.

Edit: found out that it is indeed working, however only when a bright light shines onto the sensors. Is this normal??

Flash LED issue

Hello all,
At some point I had issues with my Defy because I have installed a Chinese ROM, after that I used another one to be able to downgrade from higher kernels to 2.2.2.
In all this time I have not used camera and flash of camera because camera was not working and the Flashlight application also have not used.
Now my phone is all normal running CyanogenMOD 7.1, with camera working ok and all, but LED from flash is barely lighting app when flashing on camera app, and also when using flashlight app it is barely lighting.
What can I do to bring it to normal working behavior!?

[Q] Proximity Sensor Calibration?

Question to the kernel or rom devs. Is there a way to change the threshold of the proximity sensor? I am asking because I had proximity sensor problems where my ADC value would be roughly around 46-50 at rest. I sent my phone into samsung to get it fixed and then the senor started working again as I was hovering around 16-18 at rest (they replaced the sensor) . Now after a few weeks later, I am noticing my adc value at rest is starting to slowly increase (the ADD in me keeps me checking ) and now it's at 32. I have an i337m rooted and running the latest stock TW rom (MG1 for Canadian models). I have a feeling in about another 3 weeks or so, I am going to have the same issue again.

Sensors are not working at all. Screen rotation isn't.. And phone calls don't shut screen off by ear.
Cpu-z isn't displaying sensor status
Got some sensor testing apps and they also don't pick up sensor activity, however they detect the sensors present and give full hardware details.

Im saying its the rom bugs.
You can check if its the phone or the rom by flashing a stock rom

You flashed wrong custom ROM for the GT-i9507V. That ROM is for GT-i9505 (jfltexx). Flash the stock ROM for recover your device.

Any cm snapshot ROMs for it? I was told it would work fine

Outdoors brightness issue!

Hello everyone, I've noticed recently that whenever my phone is under direct sunlight, the screen doesn't get as bright as before, in fact it's barely visible with auto and maximum brightnes. I also noticed that the "Optimized for outdoors visibility" (sort of) is no longer mentioned under the brightness slider.
I haven't modified my phone nor flashed any custom kernel, it's running the latest officially available XEF firmware.
I've done tests under the *#0*# menu and the sensor seems to be working just fine reacting to changes, also was using Samsung good lock and though it was the culprit so I removed it but the issue remains. So I really have no idea what might be the problem here, any advice guys :/ ? Thanks!!
