it seems to be in the extra zip file that the recovery looks for..... which is what i'm still looking for.....

You're asking a lot I'm not sure but do you have asked that already in some threads..? There is small possibility that we see Lollipop on u8800pro but we just have to wait.
But @Blefish have made great job with u8800 and u8860 so make donation for him? Or even better if you have a spare u8800pro send it to him so he can take a look on it and probably make a Android 5 for u8800pro.

Looks very shady site, links do not work at all and those positive comments on site.. And why the rom is not here in XDA or some other popular site like 4pda? But this made my day: Upgrade/Update Nokia 3310 to 5.0 Lollipop. Looks like a hoax to me.
EDIT: In case if you're wondering what is Nokia 3310 check Wikipedia - Nokia 3310. I owned 3330, it was a good phone.

Ha ha, alarm bells started ringing as soon as I saw this link ,its funny no one has mentioned anything about even starting to develop 5.0 ,then all of a sudden there is a download link to what is an apparently finished (or at least usable) ROM...sure enough when trying said link,we get a 'click on an offer' page before continuing. Brilliant.

TWRP 2.8.6.0 is needed. u8800 and u8860 has TWRP 2.8.6.0, but u8800pro version hasn't 2.8.6.0 recovery. Wating for new TWRP in few days...

But I heard, that on u8800 working good and without critical bugs. Seems, u8800pro got stable rom too.
We just have 5.1 in u8800pro
Steps:
1) TWRP last version sourceforge . net/projects/legacyhuawei/files/Recoveries/U8800PRO/

If I understand good, I have to repartitioning the size, through "Blepart-LVM-11.ZIP" file on my U8800+.
I flash the TWRP 2.6.0 recovery (through recovery or replace on pink screen will be the same???), flash through new recovery the file "Blepart-LVM-11.ZIP", and restart the phone.
Now I can install the new Lollipop Rom and sequently the Minimal Gapps (If I want).
Is correct???
Second question, Is correct to say that after changed the partition, I no must install any old ROM not based on VLM, but if I want do it, I have to come back to Not VLM, flashing again the file on recovery???

I did this:
Install TWRP, reboot
Install LVM, reboot
install ROM y GApps, reboot
For remove LVM, flash it two times I read it in the wiki

I'm from Portugal and I have a Gionee Elife E7 with Indian official ROM from India IDEA. Where the smartphone restarts or turns on, it tries to check for updates making a link with the India IDEA headquarters , and these connections have a cost of 0,20-0,30 €.
Is there any way to disable the process that makes this link to check for updates in the device startup?

In that case.. 1st install a firewall app to check which app it making outside connections.. then u can block it.. 2ndly u can use titanium backup to freez that/those app.. but do not i repeat do not delete any system app which have come preinstall it will break ur future OTA updates.. Hope this helps..

Thanks - so this is a first beta for Xiaomi MIUI nougat ROM for the mi5s. Have you tried it yet? Why do I need the fastboot file? Isn't it enough to clean flash the large zip file from TWRP as usual?

I think they already have it. They wrote they'll be busy for the next 3 weeks or so beta testing the nougat MIUI for mi5s, amongst other models that will also finally receive Android 7

yeaa, it is still a beta rom with lots of bug (!?)
the reason i put it here is mainly for developing purpose since developer may wanna extract some stuffs from 7.0 based official rom

yup, this is the first version of 7.0 based MIUI official rom which released today.
it is suggested to use fastboot flash instead of recovery flash for BIG update
but i dont think everyone can use the rom due to lack of beta access
Maybe there is a trick to use without permissions?

pretty straight forward: if you start with a non-AL10 rom, debrand to AL10, then flash B589 full stock (available either via system updater or firmware finder), then flash latest twrp by openkirin via fastboot followed by flashing HRT rom in twrp. clear cache, reboot, done

first link version A is for AL-10. that is Kangvip v2 though, not HRT.... in any case, im also running kangvip v2 and very happy so far. seems a LOT smoother even on forced powersave CPU governor compared with my previous B575 stock rooted/debloated

u can use jdownloader and its built-in link grabber to download stuff via baidu links, thats how i do it.
and yes, version A is for AL10, C for CL00, D for DL00 and T for TL00

Hydrogen OS update
So how is the OS ? Anyone has reviewed it yet ?
I live in China, I find this ROM really nice, a lot of features are here to make stuff quick, like the long fingerbitton press to go straight into wechat paying (or alipay, it's up to you) the automatic spam folder for sms, and other small stuff that makes me happy ^^
I'm wondering if other people are using this ROM over here ...
I just went to their official website, apparently they have an 8.0 Beta rom available, I'm trying to get some information before trying that

I was decrypted my friend, but also flashed dm-verity after rom flash :good:

I've been using the last beta for a couple of days, seems legit, no bugs and the battery life is quite good ... I'll stick around till other rom have a decent camera

yes mate its nice and quick and a bit different than OOS but all in all good experience, hope you enjoying it, cheers.
Not that good as OOS. Some chinese bloatware, no Google Play Store installed and battery life isn't great. There is some chinese words in apps (Phone dialer app - call log) here and there...
I'd like to use a ported version of the launcher from Hydrogen OS! Maybe somebody will take care of it.
