Ever since I took the update this has been happening a lot even when I'm not using Contacts.
SM-G900R6 - It is a Verizon variant.
On rooted stock NK1
Any idea on what to do to fix the issue?

I have had my s4 triband version for about a week and this thing will not stay asleep. i have experience finding a wake lock on a rooted device but unrooted has me stumped. I know there were issues with the most recent update to 4.4, I have already updated firmware via keis. has anyone else encountered this issue and found a solution?
The attached pic is not a very good representation of the issue it is typically much worse.

This is on a rooted Verizon S5 SM-G900V with Alliance ROM 4.4.2. I keep getting the notification to do a security update. Is there a way to permanently turn it off? Thanks.
I'm currently running stock touchwiz 4.4.2 (rooted) and I used to see this message regularly.
I froze this......

.....With Titanium Backup and have not seen that message since........
From what I can work out, it's tied into the KNOX infection that Samsung forced on us all.......
I have this verizon galaxy S3 SGH-i535 that I have rooted and unlocked. Currently on T-Mobile USA. Everything is fine
except I can't add APN using APN manager due to my old firmware 4.0.4 My question is: If I update the firmware
will the phone lose root?
Yes

Just to let those who want to downgrade for root: I have a Sprint Galaxy S4 Sph-L720 Orignally L720VPUFNG2
Just to help others I can tell you that YES! the firmware can be downgraded to LVPUAMDC/MDL without issue.
using stock firmware. This Phone is only 6 months old.. After a lot of reading of No you can't Well in my case yes it can.
It's just that no one wanted to risk their device to find out. People did brick their devices doing so on the KitKat update for the S3. Thanks for the info.

Samsung galaxy note 4 was updated and then was downgraded to 5.0.1 because the new updated wreck havoc on the note 4 mode number sm-n910a. The phone was fine until the phone decided to update by it self. Once the phone upgraded the phones has problems. When you click the camera app the phone reboots and now has lines all over and ghosting as can see in the photo. So I decided to downgrade the firmware back to 5.0.1 but the problems it had stayed with the phone. How do I fix this? Thanks
