Whenever i try to add any contact to my phone, when i go down and press done, or even press back, It says "Sorry, the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please Try Again."
Does anyone else have this issue, or know a solution?
thanks.
Wipe and reflash your ROM. Backup everything first.
Is that the only solution ?
no. it cannot be the ONLY solution as I have the same issue and have done that no less than 20x
well i just installed a new rom and i no longer have a problem
Ok, so I rooted my phone yesterday via "one-click root" and worked like a charm. I deleted alot of bloatware and used info in a thread here in the forums as far as what to remove (Kindle, MobiTV, Amazon Mp3, etc But I also wanted to do a lag fix. I came across a guy that had a lag fix that I wouldn't have to use a pc for that was just a update.zip file that I would install. I followed his YouTube video step by step and had NO problem all the way up until I rebooted my phone. When I did so, my boot animation disappeared and my phone went BLACK! I contacted him and he had me clear user data and sd files and clear cache from the recovery screen. Now when I try and start my phone everything boots up but when I get to my homescreen I can't stop getting Force Closes and this is what the messages say:
----------
Sorry!
The process android.process.media has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. dumpstate_app_201008310134_android_process_media.log has been saved. Use *#9900# to copy out log.
----------
AND when I try to open the Web it says:
----------
Sorry!
The application Web (processcom.android.browser) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. dumpstate_app_201008310147_com_android_browser.log has been saved. Use *#9900# to copy out log.
----------
And same for Gmail App when I try to open it.
And they won't stop popping up. Barely long enough for me to open ANY apps.
I don't know much about rooting yet but I know I probably need to re-install firmware or something that includes ALL the bloatware including the apps I removed with my Root Manager. I just need advice or a solution or something because its deffinatly making me mad!
Thanks for all your help!
Kyle
i had that exact same thing happen to me, but that was when i tried to revert back to non-lag fix. something errored out during the uninstall and i got exactly what you got, a ton of fc's. my solution was i flashed my phone back to factor stock using odin.
probably other solutions, but i chose the cleanest route, maybe not quickest.
Not sure if you would have enough time but you could try Fix Permissions on the Rom Manager app if you have it. If not you could try ADB pushing the APK and maybe you could open it before all the FC's. I have had that help before, but like said above quickest and easiest will just be to start over. Apply the lag fix first this time (you were probably already thinking this ) they seem to work better that way without any of these problems. For me at least
I have no idea where to start! I am brand new to this rooting stuff so I am LOST! REALLY lost! What is the first step for me? Do you know of anyone who can walk me through this?
It appears that more than one lag fix was applied. Start from a clean rom and start again.

After flashing the 4.4.2 firmware to my Note 3, I get the following error message once the device turns on: "Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped". I can just click ok and the message goes away but it shouldn't be appearing in the first place so does anyone know how to make it go away? An the phone works fine.
Yes I did a clean install, tried clearing the data and cache from app manager and any of the obvious ideas.
Anybody else having this issue? Any help is greatly appreciated!

try doing a factory reset, if this does not work then try flashing a different 4.4.2 or re-downloading the one you flashed and trying again.

you have already downloaded and installed a different version of 4.4.2????
if you are getting the problem on multiple roms then you must be doing something wrong during the flashing process.
Clear your cache from recovery rather than Application Manager.

Hmm, Tried a reflash? -- if no good, reflash with a full wipe that usually solves 99% of issues. Only thing I can think of
I had that problem too and it almost made me to hit my note 3 into the wall. From the first day I turned him...
My fix solution was Settings>Application Manager> Menu > Reset app preference>Reboot. Do it again if its going to be the sam outcome. I found tjat when you are force stopping aps, or closing you are going to end with those messages....

my friend
don't try to reset , wipe any thing .
i have same problem and posted before : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2620340
i asked from all kings of developing , but no one could help me .
i searched on google and found out that problem maybe cause of our sim-card . maybe changing sim card your problem will be solved.
i'm almost confident that is cause of baseband " NA6" and we should wait for 4.4.2 for our region with different baseband .
be aware , this problem is with u even when try any custom rom , cause all af the are using NA5 and NA6 .
just crossing your finger and wait for new and diffrent baseban version my friend .
I'm having a similar issue accept my phone boots with the error, and will not go away even after multiple confirmations and reboots. Tried wiping cache/dalvik but nothing.

Are you rooted with any changes?
Sent from my Note 3...making all others drool!
I had the same type of problem myself,
But on my HTC one. I was close to start the painful process of unrooting my device and go back to stock.
My problem was not having ANY network & using the phone or sms didn't work at all. I read many "solutions" on the internet but none helped.
I experimented myself and found a solution to my problem. If it can help others as well I am glad.
First go into settings, then apps.
Scroll to all applications, search for phone.apk - if you have an option to uninstall phone.apk to previous version/state do this. Reboot the phone. In my case this did the trick and everything is working properly. Hope it helps others as well.
Please respond if you tried and it worked. It may be helpful for others too.

process com.android.phone has stopped working
I have a LG L70 that I rooted. I didn't install any ROM's on it. But what I did do was change the run time from Davik to ART. When the phone turned back on I received the warning Unfortunately the phone stopped working. And when I tried to factory reset the LG L70, that's when I get the error message Unfortunately com.android.phone has stopped working. Then I reset the phone back to Davik with no success. Is there a solution to fix this problem without using a PC? I can't even download anything because I can't sign in to my Google account. And trying to download direct the phone will not open any files, even the files I've saved on my SD Card. Please help. I'm going crazy trying to figure this out. Going to settings>apps>all apps etc. doesn't work.

HI, it's possible that you installed wrong art area, my English language is not good,, try to download your region art runtime, this error come when the phone doesn't know your region, for example you r in middle East but you have installed art runtime for Europe,, I didn't work on any LG mobile phones, I hope it be helpful

Try wiping cache, dalvik cache, system data and then factory reset (all this from recovery). I don't own a LG phone but this process is the same for almost all phones I think.
how did you erase the cache/dalvik in this situation

How did you wipe the cache/dalvik in this situation. I can't even reinstall anything to re-root the phone. And there is no keyboard that I can type on. The only way that I can communicate with the phone is to speak through voice mode. And that isn't always a good experience.
So instead of money coming out of the wazoo I have force closes coming out the wazoo, so much so that I am unable to use the touchscreen due to the constant pop-up (as soon as I close one, another appears, always for the same app).
This all began after running NAE rooted w/ Hotspot Mod for a few days and then when a few apps updated I suddenly got the FC every second, and I couldn't figure out a way to make them stop, factory reset didn't work, still occurs after updating from the play store.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Download the full nae tar and install with odin. You can find it in Random45's thread in the development section. This will return you to stock NAE and you will need to re root and re install fgr's NAE hotspot mod. Best way to fix your problem.
Hey guys! So I woke up to a notification on my phone that there is a system update, but as I started to download it, I decided to stop it and do a factory reset and delete all of my data. I hooked it up to my computer and am downloading and installing it through Kies 3 instead. I'm hoping I'll have the cleanest install/update possible so maybe I can avoid any bugs Happy Monday Everyone!!
This did not need a new thread with all the existing Lollipop threads.
Thanks
