Hi
I have Note 3 SM-N900v that belongs to my friend. He wants to change it to stock international rom that will have Russian interface.
Long story short, he wants to get rid of all Verizon stuff and make it stock.
How can I do it ?
I have experience with flashing but just wanted some advice from people with this device.
Thank you.

You can't, the Verizon Note 3 has a locked bootloader (that can not currently be unlocked) and you can only use one of the few ROMs that are available here.

Thank you for the info. Understood.
I have a question, hoping some one can help me. I have the AT&T note 3 (N900A) I have been using the rom over at the N900a forum. But I love the international Rom so much . I am just wondering if there is any rom in this forum that Would work on the N900a model. Thank you very much. .

Ah, you are unfortunate mate. No ROMs I know of would work on that model as far as I know, they all are meant for N9005, and I think under T Mobile section there are some ROMs meant for N900T or something, haven't seen any custom ROM for N900A so far, but maybe I could be wrong. So better wait for other members with your specific model to respond here.
Hello, I'm wondering if someone can point me to a post where I can learn how to root my SM-N900V running Android 5.0. I'm not sure I can even do it when I find the post, but I'm willing to read it and consider it. Thanks

replace "ever" with "at the moment" and that's the real answer. Buy a Nexus 6; I plan to.

Not necessarily. Kingroot has come to many devices that were headed down the unrootable path recently. We might get lucky too.

Sir
I sold my n900v and now i own n900 ...rooted n running dr.ketan rom..
Still thanks for replying... i appreciate it
What are you currently running and why?
I performed my first root a week ago and downgrading to kit Kat was awesome. I've tried Moar and optimal Roms for lollipop now and my battery still gets wrecked.
I do use my phone a lot, streaming audio and Web / forum use. However, even after debloating and greenifying all apps aside from streams, I still can't make it all on day on 100% battery.
Would swapping to a Kit Kat rom help? What do you suggest?
Examples of use: pandora, podcasts, netflix, HBO go, plex, tapatalk, etc. I keep 50% brightness all the time.
Any tips welcome!

edit: last night, I reflashed optimal based off oc4 lollipop 5.0, skipped wizard and ran the adb debloater. aside from that. calibrated my battery, running greenish on all apps except video and audio streams. I run minimal WiFi data Bluetooth and no location services with 50% brightness.
my battery life is still just OK.
Have u tried any custom kernel in lollipop

I am using custom rom aicp which is based on lollipop 5.1 and zapdos kernel and battery backup is better than kitkat. I do use YouTube very much so in my opinion its better in battery as well as performance.

u can try cm12.1 for galaxy s5 its stable now and cm12.1 supports twrp recovery for updates i guess (correct me if i m wrong) so u need to flash twrp recovery them cm12.1 which is based on lollipop 5.1.1 and see if battery life improves if not search xda for custom kernel that offers better battery life.

Everything I've read said it's incompatible. Can anyone confirm this is possible???
That would make my day !
G900v OEM, not dev edition

Thank you. Sadly, all 4 mirrors go to the same link and the combined file size (File Size: 91.79 MB) looks a bit off for a ROM.
In my country here is 12 am night so i will let u know by tomorrow if there is any cm rom for your device

Thank you for responding. It's very very difficult to get any senior advice or responses here :\
I get it as I am a member of many other forums and you get sick of the repeated questions. However, I've done hours of google searches and can't come to any conclusive answers.

I get that you're trying to help, but if you don't own the device and don't know the nuances of the phone how much can you really help. Lucky he didn't follow your advice, try flashing CM12, and brick his phone.

You cannot flash CM12 on this phone, and I don't think you can flash custom kernels. This is because the Verizon Galaxy S5 has a locked bootloader. As you have already found, you can flash SOME custom Touchwiz ROMs but not many. As far as Kit Kat versus Lollipop, that is really a personal preference in terms of what features you are looking for in a ROM and OS version.

The link you gave is for the KLTEVZW which is the developer edition not the retail version like the OP has. Completely different phones in that the dev edition has an unlocked bootloader and the retail version does not. Dev edition can run CM, retail version cannot. Just a helpful fyi for you and the OP.

Nope. Cannot unlock the bootloader on the retail version.
I am pretty new to rooting a phone but i was just looking around for a way to root my verizon note 4 SM-N910V on Android 5.0.1.
I tried googling and reading up on it but I have never rooted a phone before so I did not know exactly how to do it.
Sorry if this is an unnecessary post, thanks !

Unfortunately, there is really no root for it. I wouldn't even attempt a temporary on this phone.

sorry friend, you picked one of the worst development phones. nothing yet. Im hoping someday but its not looking great. My advice, find someone to trade their Tmobile note 4 for your VZW one. Thats what Im trying to do
ebay rooted ones?
I thought Tmobile note 4 wouldn't work on VZW? with custom ROM?
Saw some rooted Verizon Note 4 on eBay. I wonder if those were rooted before VZW locked the bootloader.
Would I be stuck with 4.4.4 if I get those?

The bootloader has always been locked, since day one. If they're rooted, they are development edition phones. There never has been root for this phone, and the bootloader has been locked down since day one.
C'mon folks... search the forum!!!
