Yesterday I updated my Note 4 from 4.4.4 to 5.0.1. I did not reset the phone, did not wipe cache in recovery after the update.
Now, on LP, after every reboot I get the pop-up message as shown in the screenshot.
I did'n have this on 4.4.4 and haven't installed new apps.
Does someone have a clue which app is causing this?

can you try this
I think this is related to the RCS service. You can disable it from the settings menu for text messaging -> Open the inbuilt messaging app (the usual place you receive text messages) -> Find the settings menu -> scroll down and disable the RCS Service.

also check out Vodafone Message+ it might be coming from that
Have the same issue here at every reboot @henklbr and I'm thinking it has somehow to do with Vodafone in the Netherlands (we both have the same provider) Btw I did clear my cache before and after installing the update. Oh and I also got 2 german apps showing up which I did not install for sure myself pizza.de and some German Hotel reservation app. Im using standard messaging and I have no hangouts installed

I think Samsung is introducing a service like iMessage. I'm actually excited about it but I don't get the popup. ?
Can you check in Settings, search for "Share with contacts" and see if you have such entry?

I figured out what it was the problem i have a branded software and APN settings for internet operator are strange to do it manualy so i depended off automatic internet configuration. And only the software generated by SE have this option. i will retry soon to rooted to see if i will succed.
I have same issue, wifi or 3G, won't sync with SE since root. TBH, I just noticed after reading this thread since I use google sync, but there you go. Generic --024 FW

Thanks in advance.

If you have root, Delete LteConfigs.apk in system\app (D802/5/6 only) then reboot.
Make a backup just in case.
Maybe possible if you just disable it too in Settings, App manager (if possible?)

@IrfanCore Thank you for your help! it is really working now! This the power of co-working.
I've deleted the LteConfigs.apk, but still dont have the LTE option

Then I think you need to check your APN settings.
Check with your operator.
If that doesn't work, look up lg g2 service mode.
I just remembered I had to set to LTE in service mode while I was on LG stock.
Is it possible to do it on custom ROM? I'm using Candy5 ROM, but can't get LTE to work. Any advice?
Hi everybody,
I've this notification that pops up at every reboot on android marshmallow 6.0.1 on my Note 4 International N910F (build: Alexndr.N910FXXU1DPE1 xposed / deodexed):
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I know it is a well know marshmallow issue, but since the ROM is rooted, maybe there is a work around to hide/disable this notification, or even all systemUI notifications (I don't need them, no OTA...) ?
Do someone know how to get rid of this notification ?
My card slot works properly, I only got this notification on startup, I already tried disabling SIM Toolkit notification without luck...
Thanks
This notification can be hidden by xposed modules such as Firefds and Notify Clean
hmmm.....thats weird
I only got that notification once, at the very first boot after flashing ROM.
its gone after that.
I think it's dependent on the rom build #. Someone posted in another thread that the latest release DPE3 doesn't show the sd card notification during start up.

Non-rooted 910c
Any idea on how to hide it on a non-rooted 910c on 6.0.1?

The latest India n910g release 6.0.1 DPE3 doesn't have anymore this sd card notification after every boot. Probably it will be the same for n910c on the next update.
But with gravity box in one tick is done.
And this notification appear only one time when you boot, just delete and no longer have it.

This was a bug they have fixed it on the newer 910C rom's
I flashed N910CXXU2DPE6 with a BTU (UK Unbranded) CSC yesterday and its fixed
This is odd, it isn't even an option for me to change if I wanted.

I looked in the build.prop and it says ro.carrier=unknown
I have sprint services but am unable to send picture text messages. I had to get a 3rd party messaging app to be able to send picture messages properly. So it works with my network but it is not perfect.
Anyone have any suggestions?

That's weird. Root fully enabled mine, and I've gone through the process twice. What firmware version are you using, and did you apply root to a fresh restore, or just on top? Did you disable those 3 packages as per the instructions?
I uploaded an apk of Galaxy Tools. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK Seriously. It may be able to help, or at least shed some light on the issue. It is potentially very dangerous, so do so with caution.

Hello all,
I see people keep asking how to get G Apps on MIUI, and most answers I find lacking so here is (I Hope) an easy walkthrough:
First go to the additional settings:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Second click on privacy:
Third click the unknown sources:
Fourth go to the default tools folder and click on download:
Fifth turn off Xunlei download engine and set downloading to Unlimited (i know it says mobile data but i couldn't get the install to work without this step).
Sixth find the MI app store icon, mine was in the tools folder, launch the mi app store:
Seventh type in google in the search bar you should get the below screenshot. click the secone one (green one)
Eighth you should see the below screenshot result.
Ninth you should see the below icon installed
Tenth you will see the below screenshot, click the big blue button.
this is not a click and forget install, it will install 6 things but the installs are on you and pop up , each time one pops up click install and then click done once it completes.
Eleventh step: find the security app, click permissions. find the below circled apps and give them most of the permissions.
And then lauch the Google Playstore, by clicking on the playstore icon. I hope this helps. please PM me, if you see an error or post if you have a question. I will try to answer asap.
