Hi guys,
I successfully installed xposed framework + wanam app and have been messing around with getting various mods looking lovely.
The one mod i really wanted the most was the 4 way reboot menu.
Everytime i reboot/ hot boot or download mode using the 4 way reboot menu all gapps (gmail, youtube, maps etc) crashes. Ive un-installed the framework and reinstalled which was a shot in the dark really.
I then read about clearing the google services framework data in application manager. This did fix the issue but only until a later reboot and gapps crashes again and again.
Have i missed a simple solution?! Thanks in advance.
p.s. am on cf rooted btu mk8 with su permissions given to wanam and xposed.
Other modules i have are multiple widgets.
I think what u have to do is:
- Go SuperSU
- Delete root perms APPs Xposed and Wanam
- Install again Xposed and give new root perms and reboot
- Install again Wanam and give new root perms and reboot
- Ur apps shouldnt crash now
- Enjoy

I followed the above advice and all seems to be working correctly! Top advice. Thanks. :good:
I have a Note SM-N9005, with Android 4.3 running on it. I rooted it using CF Auto Root and installed TWRP to be able to back everything up.
I installed Xposed Framework 2.5, and Wanam Xposed so that I can enable apps in multi-window, but after trying multiple times to set some apps to be able to use them in multi-window the only thing I managed to do is somehow remove a few apps from the list, and not the ones I wanted. Wanam Xposed is checked in the Modules thingy in the framework app, rebooted multiple times, but except those few apps I removed (that I didn't even uncheck), nothing has changed.
Also, YouTube is not even on the list of available apps in Xposed, even though I have it installed, and it disappeared from the multi-window list of apps as well.
I also tried turning off the camera shutter sound, and then rebooted, didn't work. Changing the text size of the clock in the notification bar had no effect either.
Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? Thanks in advance.
I flashed official Kit Kat rom from you know where, re-rooted and tried again, but I have the same issue. Nothing works. I would really appreciate if someone could help me.
Thanks in advance.

Hi mate,
You have the official stock rom and just it yes?
if yes, you need to install xposed framework apk, enable wanam on that and reboot.
you need the multi window apk too if you want delete some apps in multiwindow and add others.
Try gravitybox too.
If you do that, certainly it will work fine

Thanks for trying to help, but I tried already, I installed the Xposed framework, then Wanam, enabled Wanam in the framework modules, but it doesn't work.
I tried using multiple apps from the Play Store like Multi Window Manager (I made sure to enable the modules in Xposed Framework and then reboot), but none of them had any effect. I really don't understand why.

I think there might be minor bugs into Wanam Xposed - you should probably report those in the specific thread for that module:

Hi again,
I think you have to try the system ui patcher on xposed installer.
only with it I think you can apply the settings on wanam xposed.
Install that, reboot and try.

Guide to install Xposed Installer[even CM 12.1],. list of working &non working module
hi guys,..lets install xposed installer...btw we got official support for 5.0.x and 5.1.x...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
WARNING: after installation dont try every modules for now..try one by one and keep stock img incase of bootloop..[although there is option for uninstalling xposed installer through adb] and I'm not responsible for bricked phone, try on your own risk
Before installing, sdk21 is for android 5.0.x and sdk22 is for Android 5.1.x (cm12.1) please remember this
Steps:
First You need Root- see here
then after obtaining root ,install busybox from here . After installation, open app and click install..
Now there are 2 methods.. 1] twrp flashing and 2]using ADB ...can use any ,choose which is easy for you
TWRP method
[Note: just download whatever version is available in the link below, just make sure it is has x86 and sort off like the files which i am mentioned below]
Go here get XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk, xposed-v78-sdk21-x86.zip,xposed-uninstaller-x86.zip, [these three enough for us]
place the xposed-v78-sdk21-x86.zip,xposed-uninstaller-x86.zip,XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk in SD...
install XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk as normal apk
goto twrp, then flash xposed-v78-sdk21-x86.zip,reboot thats all..it will wipe cache,so ur apps will optimized
if u had bootloop due to xposed at some point..use twrp and flash xposed-uninstaller-x86.zip thats all..
ADB method
download the zip from here
extract the zip anyhere and connect the switched ON zenfone 2 with USB ( usb debugging must be on)
launch InstallXposedFramework.bat ,wait till framework installation is finished (phone cache will be wiped and will reboot)
Launch InstallXposedInstaller.bat to install xposed apk. and thats it.
after installing ur xposed will look like this PIC and this PIC or see the attachment for more pics on verifications
if u had bootloop due to xposed at some point..plug the phone while bootloop,..use RemoveXposedFramework.bat from that folder..thats all
TWRP method For CM12.1 [NO MORE RANDOM BOOTLOOP]
[Note: just download whatever version is available in the link below, just make sure it is has x86 and sort off like the files which i am mentioned below]
Go here get xposed-v78-sdk22-x86.zip, xposed-uninstaller-x86.zip, XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk,
place the xposed-v78-sdk22-x86.zip,xposed-uninstaller-x86.zip,XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk in SD
install XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk as normal apk
goto twrp, then flash xposed-v78-sdk22-x86.zip,reboot thats all..it will wipe cache,so ur apps will optimized
if u open and see the framework it would be like this PIC
if u had bootloop due to xposed at some point..use twrp and flash xposed-uninstaller-x86.zip thats all..
download modules,enjoy xposed
To update Xposed framework :
Using twrp [get the latest xposed-v78-sdk2x-x86.zip alone flash it ]
using adb [get the zip from here ,then just double click InstallXposedFramework.bat ,and wait for reboot....thats all]

Note:if you try any module please tell the feedback on this thread.. I will add them in list, and sometimes some modules gives bootloop but while bootloop, press and hold the power button.. It will switch off, now start again.. Do this for 3 or 4 times and wait for 5 mins in each start..

seems like your xposed module list is incompatible with current xposed modules that you installed on your phone..i read it somewhere before, android 5.0 seems to have bug when you installed xposed on it, but forgot on how to fix it..maybe you should check if you have some incompatible xposed module installed..

I'm seeing more and more people use Android phones Google-free by not installing gapps and getting all their applications through alternative sources like F-Droid. When I look at the custom ROMs for the Essential Phone, I see most have gapps baked in.
Just curious if anyone has experience on the PH-1 without gapps or Google service. What ROM are you using? Any issues?

Yes I'd love to know if anyone has gone microG, Xposed FakeGapps on Oreo with a custom rom?
Also if anyone has used Terminal Debloater on Stock Oreo and doing ok?
Thanks

I was thinking that as well. In fact, perhaps the deodex ROM is without gapps. I'll have to ask in that thread.

It has been a long process, but I am most of the way there. Used deodexed Oreo Stock. Had to use Tingle manually to patch the framework.jar to get microg running. Haven't debloated yet, but most of the stock apps are disabled at this point. Most apps I use are from F-Droid. Using it as DD now.
Took several days to discover the NFC point is very narrow at the bottom center of the back. I had thought I had broken something. :silly:
I think I'm 99.9% there with CarbonROM LOL...
UnifiedNip is registerd in system, but this section I can't checkmark, even after rebooting. I was using the latest Preview GMSCore, I'll flash the rom over and try with the Stable GMSCore and see if it makes any difference and report back.
I have Xposed, FakeGapps, Magisk 16.7, Magisk Module for F-Droid Privilege, and Debloater (Terminal), and F-Droid. Everything working pretty good, Debloater systemlessly removed some Gapps I didn't want, Browser, Calendar, Gallery...

Where did you see, get this at?
Ok UnifiedNIp is registered in system - [Checked]
To make everything work correctly, you'll want to push the GmsCore.apk to /system/priv-app/GmsCore/GmsCore.apk and then extract the lib/ folder from the GmsCore.apk to /system/priv-app/GmsCore/lib - otherwise the bundled libraries will not be found by the app and the maps library will crash apps.
If you don't know how to extract from an .apk, just rename to .zip, then copy out the lib directory.
I did have Xposed modules installed for this, so I will go back one more time, wipe it all again, and this time, see if I get it again.

I had the FakeGapps errors in the Xposed Log [systemless version 90.2-beta3]. Tried several things. Interesting you didn't experience them.
I was always able to get UnifiedNLP to registered. It just doesn't show that it has a known location in the microg self check, but SatStat, OSM and others show it.

Xposed showed a notification, I mean, you just looked in the logs, or how did you first know?
What is SatStat, OSM and others?
How are you installing microg? I just installed the apk is all, these versions and in this order;
Services Core - com.google.android.gms-12221403.apk
Services Framework Proxy - com.google.android.gsf-8.apk
Store (FakeStore release) - com.android.vending-16.apk
DroidGuard Helper - org.microg.gms.droidguard-14.apk
This is how I intalled microg on another phone and rom and it always worked.
So you have UnifiedNIp is registered in system - checked? For some reason I had to do the steps I mentioned to get it registered... hmm

I noticed I had an issue with FakeGapps because the MicroG self check showed that sig spoofing failed. At some point after that, I found the Xposed logs showing many errors for Null Pointer exception. I searched around but could not find anyone else with the issue. I submitted an issue on github.
SatStat, OSM are open source apps that will show location on a map. They are able to locate me so I know it is working using UnifiedNlp Settings (shows in the Setting > Location settings).
I installed microG using NanoDroid 17.7 using the full package.

I installed Xposed Framework 90.2-beta3 systemless through Magisk.
I'd use the Xposed Installer - XposedInstaller_3.1.5.apk;
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
But I've learned a trick with it, flash rom and magisk, then install Xposed as the first app, and install the framework from within Xposed 'Install/Update' click cloud on right...
P.S. I'm not using Xposed any longer since it will break SafetyNet check....
Hello, I have an SM-T350 rooted with Magisk, how can I fake the Device Status to show Official under settings?
(Right now it says Custom)
Using an Edxposed Module named "Firefds Kit" To install edxposed YouTube or Google Search "How to Install edxposed on Android (Version Goes Here)" then once installed, go to the hamburger menu of the exposed manager app and select downloads, then search Firefds Kit, then select the one for your android, for example, the one for Android Pie would be Firefds Kit [P], then install the latest version, select modules in the hamburger menu, and turn on Firefds Kit, restart, then open the firefds kit app, then go to the hamburger menu, tap security, then turn on "fake official status", restart, and check settings, THIS WILL NOT MAKE APPS LIKE SECURE FOLDER AND S HEALTH (If you sideload it since your on a tablet) THINK YOUR ON OFFICIAL BINARY. to do that, you need to patch one of the system files using a text editor in a root browser and restart, and for secure folder, it is under security in firefds kit, turn on enable secure folder, restart, try to enable it, restart, then hopefully the icon in apps should be there, tap it and set it up.

Thanks but I have Android 7.1.1 which only works with Xposed not Edxposed so will this work with Xposed? Also what about passing safetynet? I thought safetynet wouldn't pass with Xposed installed? Can I do it without a module?

The system file patch is only if you have s health and want it to work. since you are on a tablet you must likely have notsideloaded it, I don't know if you can do it without a module, the process should be the same with xposed

Well, I can't really do it with Xposed because safetynet won't pass plus when I go into Xposed installer (Magisk version) after installing the Xposed Framework Magisk module it still says "Xposed framework is not installed" when I open Xposed installer. So, I may just have to try this on my S8 which runs Android Pie
