[Q] System apps not connecting to internet in Gionee elife e7 - GiONEE Elife E7

All system apps like weather , update, amigo paper are unable to load data from internet. The weather app can get location but does not display temperature. I cleaned system cache as well as cache and data of individual apps but they still did not work even after rebooting. I have no idea why they stopped working or even when they stopped working as I noticed the problem only when the weather did not update for some time. All other apps like uc browser and chrome work normally. Kindly post some suggestions on what should I do.

(tip) app upload failure? Tried everything but still can't update installed apps?

Ever had APP UPDATE or APP INSTALL FAILURES and common remedies (deleting cache, wiping data, uninstall/reinstall, etc) not resolving the problem? Something I learned after experiencing this issue a couple of different times- The system's clock wasn't staying in sync with the network's time. I don't know "exactly" why? All I had to do was set the systems clock to correct time and my apps started auto updating... I installed ★ClockSync★Since then the sys/netwrk clock has stayed in sync, thus I haven't had anymore app update or install failures since. I wanted to pass this information along, I figured others of you might wind up experiencing the same problem and find this info helpful in resolving the issue quicker than I was able to...

Market Frozen on "installing"

Hey all,
Ok so I'm having a bit of a problem with the market on my X10
Yesterday i had updates for the following applications
-Facebook for android
-Beautiful Widgets
-Whatsapp Messenger
-Plus a few games and ADW themes i had purchased
I went to download these updates and low and behold my battery is at overheating temperature and the phone restarts
(however much of a bas**rd this is, its not my main issue here)
Anyways
these apps i updated are stuck on the "installing phase"
There is NO option to cancel the installation
I have wiped the cache and data of the market from the applications menu
I even un-installed the market updates
none of these options worked so i thought stuff it, ill un-install the applications
Facebook un-installed and re-installed fine, no problems updated (winner!)
however whatsapp and beautiful widgets are still showing up in the market as "installing" even though the apps have been removed from my phone
Now i cannot install the apps because whenever i try to click on the app there is no option to download
could anyone shed some light on this situation for me please as i quite miss whatsapp and beautiful widgets =(
Have you tried clearing the market cache?
have the same problem from weeks ago.. No soultion thus far. I have no cache to wipe as it does not show up in my applications drawer.
little orange ball with 30 in it.. and no market working.
To clean your market Cache and Data navigate to
Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Scroll down select market and clear cache / un-install updates
If the market doesn't show in your Manage applications menu press the hardware options button and turn the filter from downloaded to 'ALL'
Although saying this i have done this repeatedly and still the applications are 'stuck in the market downloads page'
did a wipe and still have the same issue running 2.1.1 and the market still has a orange circle any clues how to fix?

Error Network Google Play/Market

I have an annoying problem with the Market.
Initially I used the 2.1 version of Android Market and it worked, after a while, without a specific reason, it has stopped working. I use it with WiFi. It loads, it opens, but all the applications, often do not have the photos, and if I try to download something remains suspended in download! I tried deleting the data, but nothing! So I decided to install a cooked rom with SamKitchen. I installed the ROM, everything was fine, I play worked perfectly but now I'm at the starting point! Application opens, it works, but no picture and download it gets stuck in "Download Paused" .. I do not know what to do! Moreover does not work even the application of Youtube, unlike Talk and Gmail that work. I opened the modem also open TCP and UDP 5228 but the result does not change. Any idea?
I should add that the other applications, that are not google, work very well with internet! Even the Browser! This is very strange and rather boring.
There is some Picture from the phone attached

Apps crashing when trying to load web content, Android System Webview problem?

Hi, so I've been having a serious issue with my Oneplus Two that I've been trying to troubleshoot for 2 months now and I feel like I've done everything but still have the issue. Wondering if I can get a second/third opinion or something.
My OS is currently Oxygen 2.2.0.
I've noticed many of my apps very frequently crash to the launcher when attempting to do specific actions. No messages, no "app has stopped responding". Just freeze, then launcher. These actions include:
* Opening an email in gmail
* Searching for something in Google now (what's funny is Google New will respond, and then mid-sentence stop, and boom crash, every time)
* Opening specific pages in the Steam app that looks like it loads web pages in the app?
* Pretty much every time a webpage is loaded in an app.
It doesn't crash every time, but I would say 85% of the time it does. After doing some research I started to look into the Android System Webview app as a possible source, since the phone runs flawlessly in every other aspect with no crashing, except when I specifically do those actions listed above. Also, when I notice that it keeps crashing, I've force stopped the Android System Webview app, then went and tried to open an email for example and it works. But 15 minutes later it begins crashing again.
What I've tried:
* Force stopped the ASW app
* Uninstalled all updates to ASW
* Re-installed the updates to ASW
* Factory reset the phone (what's funny about this one is even after factor resetting, there's a point in the initial setup where the setup app actually crashes when it tries to load the Google authenticator page and goes back to the beginning, thus making it impossible to complete the setup. Eventually after trying like 20 times it doesn't crash and allows you to complete.)
I'm convinced it's ASW and that's the only thing that makes sense, but I've tried everything to get it to work but this problem is still present across multiple factory resets and TWRP installations. I'm at a loss. Any ideas?
Strange, works great for me every time. Did you delete /Android/ folder when you resetet your phone? Maybe the failure sticks in there.

No I didn't, I just did the standard TWRP wipe data/factory reset bit. I'll give that a shot though and see if it helps. Will edit back with results.
Uninstall updates of web view and see the difference.
If problem persists than format and don't update web view.

Cause of Chrome and Webview lag only solved by factory reset?

Asked this in the Android help forum but reposting here in case its a GS5-specific issue somehow.
I have a Galaxy S5 (G900F) running official Samsung Marshmallow ROM, rooted with CF-Autoroot.
A short while back I found that on certain website (https://www.animenewsnetwork.com) Chrome would lock up for about 30 seconds with constant CPU usage by the sandboxed process every time when visiting the site or trying to change article list view type on the site. Clearing cache, uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome did not solve the problem. I am not sure if other websites were less smooth than they could have been otherwise but the problem was only especially apparent when trying to access the main page of this site.
Oddly the same problem would occur with any other browser that used Webview such as Lightning or Relay for Reddit's internal browser, but did not occur with Samsung's browser, and did not occur with Firefox. It also occurred with Chrome Beta and Chrome Dev. Disabling hosts file based ad blocking did not solve the problem either.
Eventually, after a full factory reset, the problem is no longer present, and Chrome is fully responsive when accessing this site again. My question is what could possibly have caused the problem in the first place, that causes Chrome and webviews to lock up when trying to render or re-render this page that isn't solved by reinstalling Chrome, so that I can avoid the problem in the future?
