Lightning quick recent apps view, xposed required... - T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 General

I've been playing around with xposed apps and found xuimod and found a way to change recent app view to classic under framework menu option.
It's extremely quick but no buttons to clear recent apps.
Hope this helps people.

Thanks for the tip! It definitely is faster than the regular one.

Yeah, I'm assuming it's the animation or the way they implemented the look of the recent apps in kit Kat that takes it so long.

Silly question, but does this still allow to "kill" all apps listed from running in background or am I completely misunderstanding it's functionality? Thanks.

Works great thanks and no there is no kill recent app button as op button as op said.

Floating apps after root!!!

After rooting I installed SPenBoard Switcher (will buy from market for support) and Pen Window Manager from Note 3 forum ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46171000), both work great.
Thanks to XDA developers!!!

I dont see SPenBoard Switcher in the play store. Do you have a link?
I'm still pre-root (because I'm trying to decide if I'm just gonna stay with my old 10.1 Note). What I've missed most of all is the split screen, rather than the 'floating app'. The floating app seems to distort the app where the old multi-window method did not. For instance when you try a 50/50 screen and include YouTube on the old 10.1, it adjusts to remain proportional but if you try it on the new (unrooted) 10.1, it looks distorted/stretched. Does the floating app mod do anything about this distortion, or does it allow you to resize at all?
Anyone tried the old multi-window mod works with the new Note?
Deleted, I misread the question.

Remove/disable quick-setting toggles (not just S-finder and quick connect)?

I use Power Toggles from the market making the quick-settings toggles unneeded and a huge waste of space. I have searched and tested every S5 xsposed module, but none of them provide the option for removal. Has anyone figured this out yet?
Thanks
You can remove the single line in Alliancerom leaving the button that shows all in place just in case you wanted something

Hiding the top row would be perfect, unfortunately Alliance rom is not yet available on sprint. Can you explain how it's done?

Change long press action.

Hi,
On my phone the recent apps key doesn't work (water damage) so i was wondering if there was a way to assign a long press of the home button to recent apps instead of going to Google Now. I am on Xtrestolite lollipop so there is no xposed. I was reading along the lines of something in the /system/usr/keylayout but could not find anything.
If anyone knows a way to do this any replies would be appreciated.
You will be able to do this on Alliance lollipop when it's released soon

Click to collapse
Thanks for the reply but would it be possible to tell me how this is done? whether it is a smali edit or something in the /keylayout folder.
I will consider Alliance rom in the future but i need to use this feature as soon as i can because i cannot close apps when needed.
Once again, Thanks for your reply.

Marshmallow Update: Any way to show previews in recent app screen?

I just updated today to Marshmallow and I noticed that the recent apps screen (overview screen) now only shows an app's icon and title instead of the preview arranged in a card deck as it did in Lollipop. Does anyone know if there is a way to change it back? I didn't see anything in the settings and I'm pretty mystified as to why Samsung would have made this change.
It sounds like a longpress is being registered...either some mod causing it or you're actually longpressing the key. Just a guess though.

Thanks. I did some more digging after you confirmed that wasn't the default behavior. Apparently the not at all usefully named "Good Lock" app has an option under "Advanced Settings>Enable new recents panel" that adds app shortcuts to the bottom at the expense of losing the previews.

Long hold back to kill?

Hey Guys!
I'm kinda missing the feature of holding back button for a 1,5-2sec to kill app that is in full screen. It's missing in +5 for some reason. Any ideas how to replace it? I didn't find a port for now. Device is rooted ofc
hope they will implement in stock rom... Why don't we input this request in their system ? If we will be many, they will hear us maybe
I'm running 7.1.2 LineageOs on my OPX and have the option, in developer options all the way at the bottom

Well, All In One Gestures on the play store allows you to do this.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phoenixstudios.aiogestures
It requires root and a bunch of permissions if you feel it's needed.
I also use All In One Gestures just for Back to Kill
