[INFO] Theme compatibility for Kyrillos' rom v9

Hello again, here is a mini guide to install custom themes in kyrillos rom v9
What about themes? How can i know if a theme is compatible with kyrillos rom?
- Firstly, you have to check it it supports nine lockscreen. (If it doesnt, contact the developer of the theme and ask him to enable his theme 9 lockscreen support). Here is a thread that has the theme list, so you can easily find a theme.
- You can replace any of the theme files EXCEPT: Settings.apk, android.policy.jar, framework.jar, services.jar. If you do replace any if those, your phone will bootloop. (If it is a CWM zip file, just open it and delete the above files.)
- Enjoy the theme

This mini guide should be great help to ppl like me who finally started fiddling arnd with their g3 a year after purchase ..... Unemployment surprisingly leaves one with a lot of free time...so a big you know what
Note: you shld add this to the faq section of your rom....

I get bootloops on installing update.zip on Kyrillos 9.1 , Kyorarom 0.4 , deodexed jp6 as well ... first two are 9 lockscreen and other 5 lockscreen mod ..
Anyone can tell how to install ??? or someone tried out?
(after installing from CWM i wiped the dalvik-cache too)
You guided me here ..
but after removing Settings.apk, android.policy.jar, services.jar these files also still bootloops .
Is there anyway to install a theme not belonging to 9lockscreen mod on 9.2?

Guys..
I searched for hindi language in xda n found much topics regarding this.. but none of that was working n some of that had broken links.. So I m posting a new thread for hindi language..
its so simple
1. extract the attached zip n copy the .ttf file to system/fonts folder.. ( dont forget to backup the old .ttf )
2. Now just change the permission as given in screenshot..
3. You have done..

yeap, I tried it with my 4 android devices n working gud... Dont know about fontchanger...

Yes it is working not perfect as a stock gb fonts but still I can read Indian lang....

[Q] galaxy y screen resolution issue

i downloaded lcd density modder..
after opening it... i just applied the density without noticing it (supposed to be the system density 160 dpi and i didnt chose any other density)
after the phone rebooted.. on my lock screen.. the keyboard became too big to fit on the screen and i was unable to unlock the screen because the *next* button went out of screen
i booted phone in recovery and formatted it
but when the phone rebooted... the icons were too big to fit in the screen..
only 2 rows of icons appeared on the screen...
lcd density modder was not apllying any density permanently..
i had to edit the build.prop file
i set the system density to 120 to make icons fit on the screen like before..
but some apps like go sms pro are not working... is there anyway to return the phone to original state??
setting lcd density to 160 makes icons too big to fit on the screen again

Same case and i just flash with odin. But maybe u can use backup recovery or in advance level use adb tool in windows to remove that application.

no i dont have backup for my build.prop.. if your phone is rooted, please check and tell the lcd density in the build.prop please

if you get any market incompatibility issues, clear data for market from app manager.

bro download root explorer and open build.prop in text editor located at system/
and look for lcd density or like something and change the value from 160 to 120 that company default
and just restart phone
and just for remember if you format your phone or reset it just delet your applications and accounts and restore settings

How did u access the file system (build.prop) ? You said that You cannot use your SGY. Is there a way to access it using a PC, if there is, what software(s) is needed? I have the same problem too.

i think u have an problem,as far as i know u have no chance to change it with pc(maybe adb),make new flash its the best what u can do.good luck

what do you mean with "make a new flash" ? My problem is the icons of my SGY is too big and it can't fit the screen and most of the icons are no longer visible..I accidentally activate one of the features in Droid Overclock "Enable Animation" and after reboot, my problem started that time. I reset it to factory default but nothing happens. I cannot use my SGY anymore..Other forums said that maybe it is in the LCD Density..Now my other problem is how to access the system using PC? --rooted SGY thanks.

How i know that i flash a right firmware? Ther are many selsections here..Im from Philippines

Get the latest one there are dates written so choose the latest one and instructions are given in 2nd post follow them

Download zip of choice
go into cwm
go to mounts & storage
mount system
goto install zip from sd
select zip file & yes to flash
restart
this is the method for any flashable zip except rom zips where you also need to wipe data & system

Then it's either
not compatible with your rom
or
you need to delete certain files or rename them
ask the developer for more details

Freind which theme you want to install,it is for cod rom only but it also works on some custom roms.So It depends on which type of rom are you using???CUSTOM OR STOCK

If got BOOTLOOP,try to clear/delete cache and dalvik cache,then flash it,I think it installs...

(I installed the rom today)

@anon112233 better try that in stock rom deodexed.
maybe your custom roms are incompatible with that theme
i have already use that theme in stock

Iv no idea I didn't make it - read the thread op for instructions & requirements
by all means try it and see but make a nandriod backup first in case you need to restore
