Just had a lovely chat with Motorola support.
Bordes (Listening)
Bordes: Hi, my name is Bordes. How may I help you?
David : Hi Borders
David : any news on Kit Kat for Rogers users in Canada?
David : why all search results points to US customers?
Bordes: Hello David, the Kitkat was released a couple of days ago for the Moto X in Canada. If you do not receive the notification to download it yet you may have to wait.
Bordes: May I please have the IMEI number of your device?
Bordes: Settings> About phone> Status> IMEI
David : Hi Bordes
Bordes: Yes, I am here.
David : Great. I can give you my IMEI
Bordes: Go ahead please: Settings> About phone> Status> IMEI
David : 3****************0
David : Great to know it's there though
David : If there's an OTA manual download link though, that's even better
Bordes: Thank you for that information David. It shows here that your software is up to date. It's because the update was just released and not all Moto X users receive it yet. You may have to wait until you get it.
David : I see. I appreciate you checking into it.
Bordes: No David, the only thing you can do is to manually check under Settings> About phone> System updates.
David : Alright. Will patiently wait. Thanks for the update.
I haven't seen/heard any other reports of 4.4 for the Rogers Moto X. Of course kitkat for the Moto G was released a few days ago, the rep may have been confused.

Did you read my post at all...? Especially the bolded one in red text?
That being said, yes, I agree, he might've confused it with Moto G.
Rogers has finally acknowledged the update for the Moto X should be out any day now.

There's a post on their so-called "community" forum:
http://communityforums.rogers.com/t5/forums/forumtopicpage/board-id/GeneralCareSupport/thread-id/355
Unfortunately, there's no sign of it on an official Rogers announcement.
I wouldn't hold my breathe, rogers sucks balls with their updates.

Rumored to be a nexus phone. I'm more excited for this than the new maxx. It's like a Maxx version of the Maxx

As we all know moto g 2014 has got lollipop update and it has been captured then i guess we should start porting it for the moto g 2013 it should be easy as most things are common
Below is the OTA captured link of moto g 2014
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/ota-moto-g-2014-x1064-v22-11-6-t2936931

Yes, most likely Moto G 2013 users will get the OTA in the last week of this month.

I think it's this week, but not tomorrow
Moto g lollipop will not be soon as expected i think bcoz just for the sake of differentiating the handsets a bit. But never know
I think no XDA dev could port it as fast as moto is doing their update release job.
Just wait!
Guys please just be a little patient. Lollipop is coming. Yes, I am excited too but Lollipop is on the way. Motorola/Lenovo is not playing around with this update. It will be here before you know it.
Hahaha... One Lollipop thread is chasing another Lollipop thread...
It's gettin' a bit pathetic ;D
If Motorola confirmed this update, then wait. You should be happy that there will be an update. It would be worse if there wasn't any.
Creating more threads about L doesn't change anything... It's just pissin' off other people

And you keep contributing to all the SPAM posting this comment........... You are doing spam too with your complains... If you hate people comments, just dont enter this threads man, that easy! :good: If waiting an update is pathetic to you, you may know that complaining all the time is way more pathetic. Cheers!
There is no need to constantly create useless threads telling people about how much you're anticipating the 5.0 update. Okay, you're excited.
Stop filling up the forum with old information and pointless port requests.

The Droid Turbo needs this same update to allow for simultaneous voice/data. I personally feel that Moto/Verizon will include the VoLTE update and Lollipop update in the same release for the Droid Turbo!
What does everyone else think?
Saw this on geekbytes, I don't know about everyone else but I'm starting to think we're not going to see any kind of updates at all. Ha ha

Since the Lg G3 came out about a half a year before the droid turbo, why would you not just think that the Droid Turbo would be next? You not believe in a chronological order?

LOL, truth is unless something truly game changing comes out of Android my next phone will be an iPhone, which is something I never thought I would say. I paused that thought when the Nexus 6 price dropped and bought one off of Amazon but couldn't bring myself to open the box and returned it. I figure if I truly hate the 6s I can easily sell it and recoup most of my money something I can't easily do with an Android phone.
i have a nexus 5x preordered. 32gb quarz color. i might miss the moto stuff but whatever, its about time i guess.
In hindsight if I had known, how much trouble the upgrade to lollipop would cause (all file permissions where messed up and fixing them was a pain in the ***), I wouldn't do it again. I already forgot, what noticeable improvements came with lollipop. Wasn't my phone a little smoother? Can't remember.
Bottom line: i don't care for any updates anymore.

Thanks moto, for breaking your promises again.
Sad that such a great phone won't be getting the next update. I will probably stick with it for another six months before I upgrade to a newer Moto X or Nexus.

Oh good grief! Motorola hasn't come out and said that Marshmallow wouldn't be out for the XT1060 have they? I know it's not on the list right now but I wouldn't say that they broke their promise until we see something definite that Marshmallow will not come out for our phones.
If this is the biggest thing you all have to worry about, I guess you have it pretty good. Personally, I like the Lollipop on the XT1060 for the most part and am willing to stay with this phone until I find something else that I like better.
