Hi Everyone,
I have an P5110 running stock Samsung 4.04 ICS firmware it's rooted and has cwm touch recovery installed and titanium backup pro (root) installed.
My question is this how do i verify a Nanodroid backup ?
I have read it checks the backups before a restore.
However, When running version 5.xx of CWM recovery it failed twice to restore data and since i couldn't i find a way to check the data before i restored it.
Data was overwritten, however cwm reported a fail to write to data, and sure enough no data had been written but /data had been formatted.
Is their a way to verify a backup before i choose to restore it ?
i am now using ClockworkMod-Recovery_6.0.1.0
thanks

Hello,
I've just joined. A very basic question - is it possible to create full partition backups without a custom recovery? The only reason I'm running TWRP (2.6) at the moment is to be able to create full backups. I understand stock recovery doesn't allow that?
Thanks
Online nandroid backup or something doesn't need a custom recovery.
hello guys, i have a question
how can i extract an cwm recovery file on windows?
i made an backup before format phone but i wanted a clean install so i dont want to restore the backup but just some data in it witch i forgot to backup , is that possible ?
I had a full backup image in twrp.
Whenever i try to restore it auto reboot around 15% while restoring system partition ?
which partion to restore.
any issue if i chose to restore all partion
boot/system/system image/vendor/vendor image/data/cache/recovery/efs
any advice.
Thanks

,,,You have to backup EFS once (via non-buggy twrp) and keep it stored on mobile and PC
... For ROMs..You just BACKUP system data boot
And restore them
... when shifting () different builds marshmallow to nougat... nougat 7.0 to 7.1 or whatever.. you need to INSTALL (not backup or restore) the CORRESPONDING vendor
That's it
So last night I performed a Nandroid backup in TWRP recovery.
If I were to format my phone and install a new ROM would the restore from that backup just restore my old ROM?
I guess to preserve app data I just do a backup with just the data not the full backup?
