Need Help Installing CloudyG2 v2.2 - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I am having some trouble trying to install the CloudyG2 v2.2 Rom on my LG L2 D802 and would please like some help.
These are the steps I followed:
Activated developer mode
Enabled USB debugging
Allow installation of apps from unknown sources
Went to the towelroot website on the phone and downloaded the root, installed and "made it rain" with success
Downloaded and installed SuperSU from app store
Downloaded and installed Root Checker from app store
Ran Root Checker and was told my device has been rooted
Downloaded and installed TWRP Recovery D802_AutoRec.apk
Ran AutoRec and followed steps then booted to recovery
Phone then booted into TWRP Recovery
Created a backup of Boot, System and EFS
Once the backup was created, I went back and checked to make sure it showed in the Recovery tab.
This is where I am stuck!!!
I am now up to the step where I need to install the ROM. However I have not transferred the CloudyG2_2.2.zip to the phone from my computer.
How can I do this? because now when I try to reboot my phone it shows the LG logo and then the screen goes black and there is a blue/green light at the top of the phone flashing.
I have searched around for hours looking for a solution so any help would be greatly appreciated =)

Enter in download mode and go back to stock: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
To enter in download mode power off your phone, keep volume down key pressed and plug the usb cable.

You can try straight flashing ROM after wiping using USB-OTG cable or ADB Sideload. It might work, but I'm not sure.

When I try to enter download mode, I get stuck on the 'Firmware Update" page and it has been stuck at 0% for over 20 mins.

Using OTG
Keep flashable zip file of any working ROM in OTG pendrive.
Connect OTG pendrive.
Enter into recovery mode.
Go to Mount option and check USB-OTG.
Come back and select install.
goto /usb-otg and select the zip to install...
And Done...
Not tried but you can try this...
[Make sure you have your pendrive in FAT32 format and not NTFS]

Just went out and bought a USB-OTG cable and transferred the CloudyG2 v2.2 ROM onto a thumb drive
I then tried to open it in TWRP by going to "Install" and changing the storage drive to USB-OTG but it will not let me select it.
Thanks for the help but does anyone have any more ideas I could try?
EDIT: Just saw chauhanrvikas post and I am about to reformat the thumb drive to FAT32 as it was NTFS

:good::laugh::good: IT IS WORKING!!! :good::laugh::good:
Thank you to both Speedypancake and chauhanrvikas for helping me to get it working.

GUIDE
After booting into recovery mode I could not get the phone to boot back into the system, nor could I get "Download Mode" or "ADB Sideload" to work, however the steps below did work.
If you did not transfer the ROM zip file onto your device before entering TWRP then follow these steps:
Get yourself a USB-OTG cable (Micro USB to Female USB cable).
Format a USB Thumb Drive to FAT32 and transfer the ROM zip file to it.
When in TWRP go to the "Backup" and create a backup.
Check the backup was created by going to "Restore" and see if the file is there.
Plug the Thumb Drive into the USB-OTG cable and then into the phone.
Go to "Install" and change the selected storage drive to USB-OTG.
Now you can select your ROM zip file and install.
Hopefully this can help someone else and save them from spending over 10 hours like I did trying to fix this issue because I thought I had bricked my phone for good.

[Q] note 3 (n9005) bricked?

I just lately one day decided to update TWRP recovery. I downloaded img file and flashed it at the old TWRP. I rebooted the phone but just blue recovery boot text flashed quickly and it went to the Odin mode and there is red text: could not do normal boot. :crying:
So if I try normal boot it does that above. If I press recovery It does the same. I can still access Odin mode.
Is my device soft bricked or hard bricked? How can I get it work/unbrick it?
Lots of questions... I am pretty noob with these root/moding things, I hope someone could help me.

You only have to follow the steps posted in TWRP page:
1. TWRP Install (Requires TWRP 2.8.4 or higher already installed):
Download the latest TWRP image file (.img) from the download link and boot TWRP. Go to install and find and select the Images... button. Browse to the image that you downloaded and select it. Choose recovery and swipe to flash.
2. Odin Install Method (No Root Required):
You will need to download and install Odin on your PC. Once you have Odin installed, download the proper .tar file for your device from the download link above. Power off your device. Turn on your device using the proper key combo to get into "download mode" and attach the device to your computer via a USB cable. Use the PDA/AP tab or button to browse to and select the tar file that you downloaded and flash the device.
SOLUTION: Reflash TWRP via 2nd step.

Thanks a lot guy! It works now. I thought it would be something like that but I wasn't sure. I am very thankful because I am still teenager and note 3 means very much to me. :victory:

Possibly bricked shield?

I installed the 3.0 update and it never removed TWRP, however TWRP is not working. If I flash the zip file for 3.0 it reboots the system in the middle of installing. I tried flashing the cm12 and cm13 zip files and they say they flashed successful but nothing appears to have installed, and I currently have no rom or firmware installed and can't seem to boot to fastboot. Any ideas?
Here is what happens when i flash the 3.0 zip file. https://youtu.be/-ZVnaNdn6-M
I seen the same logo don't know what to do as well. My parent click update while i was away from home when i got back it just the logo with nvidia.
Restore using the recovery images here for your device https://developer.nvidia.com/gameworksdownload using fastboot not twrp.
The way I get to bootloader is pull the power cable, plug back in and hold power immediately until the menu appears YOU MUST HAVE micro usb connected to a pc while doing this.
I'll give it a try. Thank you for the reply

[Hard brick] recovery bootloop: no recovery mode, no download mode accessible

Hi,
I was flashing twrp with flashify when I just rebooted in recovery and since that moment my phone is stuch on an infinite bootloop showing me the:
"Recovery booting (recovery is not seandroid enforcing...)"
I'm plugging off the battery for some hours, but when plugged in nothing changed.
My phone has the usb port broken, so I can use it only to charge the battery, but no pc will recognize it.
Since the fact that I can't access download mode, or recovery mode to restore a nandroid backup, It's insane to buy a usb port to change it on the phone and try to link to a pc?
I mean, is there a way to access download mode?
Does JIG usb work in this situation of hard brick?
Any advice?
Thanks for answering.

You need a working usb to flash a custom recovery or an offical fw. I thought flashify needs root access to work?. Or if you already have root, you could adb to flash twrp but it's too late now.
Try getting into download mode. When it asks to proceed or cancel, choose cancel. Some people are lucky that the phone boot into system again but they need to fix the broken recovery later.

After 2 months of battery out, finally I got download mode to work, and pressing cancel my phone started.
Thanks.
But now it seems that there is no custom recovery installed, so when i go in custom recovery, the loop starts again.
How may I install again a custom recovery, knowing that:
1) I can't connect to pc, cm 12.1 has a bug, no pc recognizes my phone;
2) rom manager doesn't install any custom recovery on my phone;
3) flashify made my phone in boot loop, and I can't understand what I was wrong 2 months ago.
Thank you, man.
See your other post man .
Flash the tar version of TWRP using Odin. If there is no tar version, you can use Cygwin to convert an img file to a tar file.

dude write some more info will you, i dunno whether
your device is locked
you have developer drivers on your laptop
what TWRP version you are trying to install
but anyways if the whole process is completed without any results consider starting odin as an administrator then flash TWRP
Hello sir
Follow my steps for successful TWRP/ROOT
1.)Download and install Samsung USB Drivers
2.)Download TWRP 3.0.2.0
3.)Download Odin
4.)Download SuperSU.zip file
For download links message me or add me on facebook facebook. com/fRoD.cs
After you complete this 4 steps shutdown your phone and enter into Download Mode
Volume Down + Power + Home
Select continue by Volume Up key
Now connect phone with usb cable into pc and run Odin as administrator
Click on AP box and select the twrp.tar file you download before
Go to Options tab and uncheck Auto Reboot, make sure that only F, Reset Time is checked and click start
After successfully installed TWRP , remove the battery, put it back and make sure that you go into recovery mode immediately!!! Volume Up + Power + Home
If you boot up the phone it will restore the original recovery. Thats why you need to go to recovery mode first.
First time you boot in recovery it will be shown a TWRP screen asking to allow modifications to system partition. Swipe to accept that.
Now select Install option and select SuperSU.zip file. By default it should be in Download folder, and swipe to start install
After installing click reboot and your SM-G361F will be rooted. You should have SuperSU app in the menu

Ah, opportunely, I have the exact same device.
Now, I have actually installed TWRP before so I can help.
Usually, if it stops the flashing process, it may be a case of the Custom binary being blocked by the FRP lock on the device. Have you OEM unlocked it?
On the device, when you boot it into download mode, does it say FRP LOCK: ON on the screen?
If not, skip this step.
If so, you need to do the following:
1) Reboot the device normally
2) Go into Settings, Developer Options (note: to enable it, go to About Device and spam the Build Number box until it says that you are a developer)
3) Find where it says 'OEM Unlock'
4) Confirm the change
Now, there is an extra step which I had to take if you have a Google account signed in on your device. You might not need to, but it's best just in case:
1) Go to Settings, Accounts and Google
2) Click the Google account on the device
3) Click 'Remove Account' and confirm
Note: You will need to sign in to use any of the GApps, but you cannot access the recovery whilst being signed in because of the FRP lock.
4) Reboot your device into download mode and try again.
This may not be the case, though.
Also, don't bother with adding that guy on Facebook. I have all the downloadable things you need here, but I advise you do follow his guide, except the Download folder section. He missed out that you need to download the SuperSU binary to your device. Downloads are here:
Here are the Samsung USB Drivers for Mobile Phones (NOTE: You may not need these at all since you can actually begin the flashing process without them, so don't bother):
http://developer.samsung.com/galaxy/others/android-usb-driver-for-windows
Here is the TWRP recovery (NOTE: Please download the 3.0.2.0 version, since it is more up-to-date and more likely to succeed:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...sm-g361f-unofficial-twrp-2-8-7-3-0-2-t3425402
And here is ODIN (You already have it, but here it is anyway. Also, download the first one, not the second one, since the first one is newer):
https://odindownload.com/download/
Also, the SuperSU binary (Note: It's easier to open it in your Android browser and download the file from there. That avoids the need to transfer the file from the PC to the phone):
http://www.supersu.com/download
Now, it could, in fact, be a problem with the USB cable. It's highly unlikely, but mine is a bit tempermental, insisting that if I nudge it, it'll stop working.
Notify me how it goes, because this worked first time for me.

Go to developer settings and check OEM Unlocking (if its already checked recheck it) and then reboot. Then close the phone and install TWRP.
Hi I've managed to install the correct twrp on my device but when I go into recovery I get the same message not seandroid enforcing. I've followed all the steps but I can't get it into recovery on twrp. Does anyone have a solution please?

How to Unbrick Phone with no OS Installed?

Hello, Before starting this Thread i wanna say sorry for my bad english.
Want to Install Stock ROM Lollipop. But the System Cannot Flash/Install that ROM.
Previous, i'm using Ressurection Remix 5.8.5 . All Went Normally, Until i decided wanna back to Stock ROM and get this error.
Situations :
* The Device Stuck on Boot Logo, and No responsibility
* The Device cannot Reach Recovery, Adb, fastboot, even not detected in Device Manager when i Wanna try Flash using QFIL
* Vol Up+Down + Power Buttons Not Works, Only Blink Blue on screen and then reboot.
Chronologic
1. I'm using TWRP 3.2.1 , Wiped System, Data, Cache. And then start flashing Stock ROM
2. When Process, it says Update failed
3. Using Minimal ADB, I tried to flash Stock Lollipop Recovery. And failed.
4. Accidentally, i typed "Adb Reboot recovery.img" which should fastboot Boot Recovery.img
5. The Device rebooted and Stuck on Logo, Until Now
Anyone pls help, Any comment helpful very appreciated.
Thank You for ur attention.
Remove and re-insert the battery. Then hold volume down + power button and see if the phone boots into download mode. If it does, then connect it to a pc with adb installed and see if adb detects it. If all goes right, you could try to install twrp recovey and afterwards install stock firmware through it. Google search A6000_S056_150924_WC51.zip and download the firmware and copy it to the external sd card then flash using twrp.
Although guessing by the state of your phone it seems unlikely that this will work. But give it a try. Hope it helps.
Thanks! It Worked
