Works now after updating qpair on both devices.

Been trying too root my phone for quite sometime and everything I've seen is for kit kat I have no pc so I was trying with apps like kingroot I have 5.0 currently and need to downgrade to root my phone I have an sm-n900r4 (us cellular variant) please help!
I am running 5.0 BOE1, I am rooted with tether. What are my options from here if any? Can I upgrade and keep root? Can I downgrade? Thanks in advance!
