Thank you for such. I actually watched your video before purchasing my phone. I bought it two days ago and received it just a few hours ago. So far its fantastic. I could point out that no NFC bugs me, because now I want to use it. Ha. But not having LTE still does not affect the way the phone pulls the data. It does a good job with just the 4G. So I'm going to say for 199.99, this phone is the best thing I've bought.

Thanks for watching! Yeah, I agree I"m on TMO as well and HSPA+ has been doing a good job . Probably just depends on your area, I'm sure some people are going to have issues.

HSPA+ has been at least 10mbps, I am not complaining. The issues that may arise for some may be due to the fact that they can't appreciate what the phone brings for its price tag. I was skeptical but that's been because of what it has accomplished so far. I watch a lot of your videos and they always satisfy my curiosity behind a device. Thanks for the review on this phone because it sold me.
I've already got it rooted and I'm posting a guide soon!

Battery is actually pretty good for its size. I getting a out 4.5 - 5 hrs of screen on time. With moderate use (Facebook, 2-3 hrs YouTube, Web browsing, XDA forums etc etc) .
I don't take a lot of pictures so I can't really give you and honest opinion on camera. But for $200 you can't really expect much.

Battery life is actually great! Standby/sleep battery is amazing. Coming from a nexus 4 this phone has a lot better battery life. The camera on the other hand is terrible. If you are used to iPhone or any flagship phone camera you will be dissapointed.

After reading all the problems people were and are having. I was very nervous to receive mine. But I have had it a few days now and am in love with my xoom. I haven't had one reboot or anything. One force close on an unsupported app. It has played ALL my videos so far. (Rock player) I don't have high quality 1080p videos though. Anyone else not having problems? Or is the xoom a bust?

i love your xoom too
I've had minimal issues with mine. I already started a thread for those, however they were just minor glitches that a simple reboot solved. I have been unable to get 1080 to play on my xoom though, so I'm currently rocking 720. Maybe I should look into rock player, I'm just using stock.
I love my Xoom too. I've had it since Thursday and have been playing with it off an on. I'm impressed with the battery life. I haven't had too many problems with it so far just one browser force close and the Weatherbug app misbehaved so I manually closed it causing its widgets not to show up properly on the homescreen until I rebooted. Other than that it has been smooth sailing. I can't wait to see more tablet apps!
Only 3 peoples love self xoom? This is so sad! I just wait GSM version and realy think, maybe select another Tablet?(((

Usually, the "complainers" are the loudest. Satisfied people are satisfied, no reason to shout about it.

Mine's fantastic.
I don't love mine but I do not regret the purchase. The hardware is fine but the software has some ways to go. Still overall it is an interesting platform.

The Xoom is probably the best tech device I've ever bought. It's blazing fast, easy to use, top quality device. Great hardware, and fantastic software, that should only improve additionally. No real problems whatsoever, even if there were some hiccups the overall experience would push that aside. Only minor quibble I can even think up is lack of Google Voice support at launch... but that's just being picky. Family and friends flock to use it or just watch whenever I pull it out. My favorite way to browse the internet and use Google Reader, compared to either my Captivate or my MacBook Pro... there just isn't a comparison, the Xoom blows them anyway. I love this thing.
Just wanted to add a happy voice to the discussion here. I'm involved in social media as a consultant, I must always be on, always connected, using my TF via a wifi hotspot on my phone is a LOT more pleasant an experience than working via my phone with it's tiny little screen
Love sitting outside on my porch, working while sipping cofee without having to lug a hot, heavy laptop with me.
Thank you Asus for this terrfic device, I also thank you also for listening & responding to the feedback users are giving you on this forum!
i agree, this is a pretty awesome device
Ya~
ASUS did it well this time. Good job !
same here.
The only thing stopping me from using the TF exclusively is that there is ONE app not available yet....when it is...bye bye laptop....you' stayin' at home!

Lol Wooot
I agree, this is the best Android tablet release to date. ASUS has done a great job in designing (and pricing) this device.
I use it for business, and this weekend my wife asked if she could use it to look up something on the internet - it is now on her birthday wish list. She is an iPhone user, BTW.
I love my TF a little more each day! I love the freedom it gives me, no more having to pack and lug a laptop bag around with me!
Its the unhappy folks who tend to make their voice heard, while the happy rest of us enjoy life, right? glad to see someone give praise to the awesome device Im sittin on my porch drinkin a beer, listening to the radio and browsing the web on my tablet right now (colorado) Much love ASUS, and asus, please give us tegra3 transformer2 as soon as possible! haha
lol.. I just posted my own TF love post before reading this one. I totally agree!

If he's referring to netflix then just use splashtop and stream it as it runs GREAT on the tablet. Being able to text message, make a call, and watch netflix is a great feeling
I used to ask myself what was the point of a tablet and now I can finally understand the answer to that question.
Next week I think I am reordering mine. I sent it back to Amazon because it was having problems, but I am moving in a few days so I will wait until the move is done.
I like the lazy factor of a tablet I still feel much more productive on my PC, but I can't lounge around and poke at things on it. I also kind of miss dungeon defenders... I was thinking about the fact that the TF2 is just over the horizon, but I can afford to get a new TF and gift that to my little sister. That seems like a win-win if I ever heard one.

Friends,
I thought I should share this review video I came across. I have gone through so many galaxy note reviews, but this has been straight up the best. Really feel connected, and I think a lot of the galaxy note current users who love the phone would connect with the review a lot.. and those who are still thinking of buying a Note, definitely check it out.
Excellent review but you should have posted it in the review thread, I can smell the Ganja...
Interesting. I've come to the stage with the SGS2 where I need to gift it to my partner & get a new phone, it being a bit small now it seems to me. I've wondered about the SGS3 but that may not be a lot bigger, 4.65 rumor? So bottom line, the Note is really OK for everyday use?

the Note is supreme, the one to rule them all...The only thing I can see missing is IR port, so it could be used as a TV remote, then it would have been the complete phone..the ultimate..
Ericsson P800 had everything, it was supreme...crappy screen and touch function, but not far from the best.

Same opinion, this Note is great.
So great that my Archos Tablet is lying on my table and I nearly don't use it anymore
A great review, and he's very entertaining! I agree with him about the size and power of the note making it more than a phone. Any future upgrade will have to be to something very similar to my note.

It is an awesome phone. I've had mine for about a month mine. Switched from an iPhone 4S. Took me a while to get accustomed but after trying multiple roms and kernels, I now don't think I'd go back to the 4S.

Yeah, with all the controversy coming out about Samsung's paid 'user reviews', I would say definitely check out Anandtech's review - amazingly thorough and very hones. Covers casual and hardcore phone nerd interests very well.

I have also switched from s2 to one.
Call quality - very clear and loud. Perfect.
Wifi - i have recorded speeds of 25mb download
Battery - solely depends on case by case basis i have not used it to play games or watch videos yet and lasts me days and a half before it dies.
Ear phone - its ok for free ear phone. Other members in this forum rate these better.
Hope it helps.

Absolutely loved my nexus 5. Was a great phone but I wanted a bigger screen. I really thought about the OPO for a while and finally pulled the trigger. Two days in and in couldn't be happier. Battery life is insane, camera is so much better, feels way lighter, double the storage, and I got it for the same price I sold my nexus for.
Only cons I see so far is 3rd party accessories are lacking big time and doesn't seem to be as many ROMs but stock rooted is working great for me anyways. So glad I went this route.

Just be patient. Due to the whole invite system, these phones are not that popular at the moment. Once they will become easily available for everyone, I'm sure the accessories market will explode.
As to the "slim offer" of ROMS you're refering to... You should have another look really, as there are quite allot of them.

Came from a Nexus 5 myself which is in my opinion one of the greatest smartphones ever made, so I had high hopes for this and it hasn't let me down. Although I did love the feel and size of the N5, the OPO simply outclasses it in every category. I may even keep this phone as my backup when the Nexus 6 drops instead of selling it towards the purchase cost. Although I love my OPO I'm definitely getting that ish, I've been dreaming of a Moto-made Nexus for years. And if I don't I still have the next best thing
