This phone used to be on the Bluegrass Cellular network, I have contacted them and AT&T with no help. I have rooted the phone using Towel Root and used Advanced Signal Status to change my radio to LTE/GSM auto, and can also now change the radio options within the phone. When I select to register on the AT&T network, it sits for about 3 minutes, and says "Unable to register" the IMEI is clean, I'm assuming I need a custom firmware or something. At this point, I am willing to pay someone to help me fix this, it has caused me so much trouble. Thanks!
Someone had suggested I use This ROM.
Problem is, I need custom recovery, and I can't find one for jfltelra.
TWRP shows all the jflte's but mine (jfltelra)

Have you checked your APN settings?
I can't make even phone call. APN...What to check in particular? wifi and gps are working fine. tried service mode... it says signal strength 0db.
My wifes is the same way it cant lock on a service provider after factory restore only way it works is with a custom rom cant figure it out
Contact your network and enter mobile network settings manually .
jje
flash to custom rom maybe?
it's your APN settings
just google your APN settings... i.e. i'm with Bell mobility... if I google Bell APN I will find the info I need... that data goes into settings>wireless>mobile networks>access point names
hit the menu button and add apn.... bell's examples are here http://androidforums.com/samsung-i7500/87145-bell-mobility-apn.html
they are carrier specific obviously
Hi All,
This happened to me before and I was as frustrated as you and when I was about to give up, I tried one last restoration, but only this time I did it correctly. After that, I restored 5 different versions of Samsung Galaxy S stock ROM back to my Samsung Galaxy S. One of these versions were Chinese, and everything was in Chinese.
Samsung Galaxy S had no signal was because the modem file was missing while you were performing the restoration.
Now, all you have to do is go to this page and follow the instructions to restore the Stock ROM back to your Samsung Galaxy S.
You can try to install a different rom just in case. I had the same problem and i tried to fix it applying different modems but that wouldnt work so i ended flashing cyanogenmod and back to another custom rom and that did the trick.
Even flashing back to the latest official rom for my country and operator.

Hello, currently I have a Lg gt540f from a friend. He requested me to change the OS to CyanogenMod. This is a mexican phone, from the company Telcel. He wants to free the phone in order to use it with other carriers.
I already flashed ClockworkMod Recovery 2.5.1.8 and CyanogenMod 2.2, I think this is the 6.1. However after doing this I keep getting no cellphone signal at all. I changed the APN to the carrier's one and the issue continued. I've changed Sim cards, and tried them on different phones and they all work, except on this one. This makes me think the problem is the baseband I have on this OS. So I upgraded to CM 7 with the same result. After doing this I cleared the Dalvik cache and reinstall the ClockworkMod Recovery 2.5.1.8 and CyanogenMod 2.2 downloaded from a different link, but issue continues.
I've read about this on other phones like Motorola Droid, and what they do to fix this issue is to change the baseband to telus or argentina personal. Both of them are quadband with 850/1900 that I need. They do this by loading a Recovery name Androidiani, however I haven't been able to find it for this cellphone.
Is there another way I can change this baseband?? And could you help me a little explaining me the steps? I'm actually new at playing with Android phones and flashing them.
Thank you for your time.
Hello, I found the answer to my problem.
Actually the cyanogenmod I'm using is band compatible with the phone. This is because this CM version is quadband which includes the bands I needed. My problem was actually that I thought that by flashing a custome ROM I will be setting the Radio into S-OFF, automaticly unlocking my carrier phone restrictions. But I was wrong. Some Android devices you can just flash a new kernel, gain temp root access and swith the carrier radio into S-OFF, however this phone is not the case. To erase my carrier restictions I had to purchuse a unlock code and insert it on the phone. This is done with the IMEI.
Thank you for your time.
HI there, I just recently unlocked my Rogers phone and now its online Virgin Mobile. I put in the code and it gave me an error so I looked it up and it had to do with the firmware not accepting the code or something like that. I then decided to use the stock Rogers Firmware, the installation went smoothly then when I actually had it running I couldn't connect to the WiFi (it would say turning on but it wont.), Virgin Mobile network won't show I always have to go to settings and search for it and when I do get on the network and put my phone on lock I would get no service until I search for the network again. Also, when ever I make phone calls the screen turns black and nothing happens. My home phone would ring but nothing from my cell. So I decided to install Google Play Rom and it's the same thing.
Can someone please help!

I hope I am posting in the right section.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 (I9505) and it was crashing on the stock ROM so I flashed the Imperium LL Rom v11.0. The problem I am having is my phone reporting no network signal or "Out of service". But not always. After a reboot I usually have network signal. After locking and unlocking the phone I never have. The signal usually comes within a few minutes. When my phone is reporting "Out of service" I cannot make calls but I can still receive calls. And after the received call has terminated I can still not make calls. After a few minutes the network signal icon comes and I can make calls. Until I lock my phone because it gets lost everytime.
Some info:
1. I was on a rooted Stock 4.2.2 before I flashed the Imperium LL Rom.
2. The IMEI seems to have changed. I never took note of it before flashing, so it might have always been different but the IMEI reported by the phone is different from the IMEI on the sticker underneath the phone battery. I tried the Xposed IMEI changer but the problem still happens so this may be unrelated.
3. While searching I found it could be an invalid Modem driver. In the settings the Baseband version is I9505XXUBMEA so I tried flashing the driver for that version using ODIN. No change.
4. I tried via Recovery to flash Slim80 Kernel Cleaning Script v1.9 and then the Imperium Kernel v3.3 but no change.
I did a factory wipe before flashing the firmware.
Any help or suggestions please?
Thanks!
I have actually solved this. What I had tried before was flashing the modem with the same Baseband I had previously ie: I9505XXUBMEA thinking that there were specific versions which needed specific drivers. Upon reading more I found out that newer versions of the modem should be installed and that XX was a carrier code and the last 2 letters are how recent the driver is. So I tried the latest modem (XXUHOE2) I could find similar to the Imperium Build which is XXUHOJ2 and it seems to be working. My phone retains the network signal when put to sleep.
The fact the IMEI changed is weird and I don't know if it makes a difference. Maybe it was always like this..but it is strange that it is different to the one on the sticker. The format is correct because only the last 4 digits differ.
Anyway I hope this info helps someone with similar problems.
How can I mark the title for this as [Solved]? I can't find any way.
