This works 100% - no need for root, but you MUST follow the instructions exactly
Go to apps info
Press disable and it'll ask you to accept reset to factory with unistall any updates. Press OK.
Then kill all apps.
Then back to Youtube apps info.
Click on force stop.
Then click on clear data
Then click on Turn Off
The click on clear data again, wait til it show 0 kbs
Then kill apps
Now go to PlayStore search for youtube
Click on enable
Click on update
Should now work properply with resolutions setting. Search "1440p" video and then select resolution. Profit.
Original credit goes to Like2HelpingOut on Android Central's Note 4 forum.
Just FYI I'm on T-Mobile Note Edge, stock, unrooted.
This will also work for the Note 4
Unfortunately this does not work on my Note Edge. I have followed your instructions twice with no luck.

If I can already select 1440p resolution when viewing a video without going through the steps, does this mean that mine is already enabled? I haven't done any of the steps stated in post #1.
Thanks.

Search for 4k videos on youtube app them select 1440p option.
Worked for me on 915FY with lollipop, no root.
Just checked and I have the 1440p option. I didnt do anything and my phone is stock and unrooted.

Netflix stream on tab/phone always started with very low quality stream. Give it a few minutes and the quality will improve. But it probably not going to be HD.

That is pretty odd, but not being rooted, you shouldn't have any issues with the unmodded hulu app in the first place. It is still weird that it doesn't want to install though, have you tried restarting your device?

The stock Hulu app plays ads just fine, but it won't play the actual video. I've tried everything I could think of, including re-starting numerous times.

Long time follower (pre "OG Droid" days) first time question poster. I was reading about the "Create Collage" feature on the Note 3 so I went to give it a shot. The problem is, that option doesn't appear in my menu. I'm completely stock, not even Rooted.
Any thoughts on what could be happening? It just seems so strange that this is completely missing. See for yourself in the attached screen shots.

For a while i was getting bad battery life due to using a LG app called LG Aura. Now that it's gone I've been seeing great battery life on my TMO G6 (H872).
I'm using it as general use. Not gaming.
Was playing with google cardboard.

What seems to be the issue? I'm assuming you have both apps installed?
Then you'll want to force close both. Then, you want to go to Settings - Fingerprints & Security - Phone Administrators and then check make sure LG Service is active.
Then force close everything (recents clear all) and run Package disabler.. It should work now. Simply check the box to the right of the app you'd like to disable. If you press the app name it will also show you more info about the app and give you the ability to uninstall it there.
I understand the Package Disabler app has been removed from the Play Store but you seem to have it.
I'll also upload a copy of both in the next post in case someone else would like to try them as well..
