To root my GT 10.1 I followed these instructions:
Install samsung drivers or download samsung Kies and install on your computer which will in turn install the drivers for you.
Run Odin.exe, choose PDA and point it to recovery.md5 file.
Connect tab via usb to your computer while in downloading mode then hit start in Odin on computer after connection has been established. Run, wait then reboot.
Connect tab to computer in usb storage mode (make sure usb debugging is off in tab settings) copy root exploit (Samsung_Galaxy_Tab_10.1_root.zip) to root of the storage.
Turn off tab. Reboot into bootloader again but this time go to recovery. Select to install zip from SDcard. Install the root.zip.
Reboot into android. Your tablet is rooted.
Done.
Files
USB drivers
Odin
CWM recovery Odin file
Root exploit
Unrooting suceeded with no errors and I now how Superuser app, which seems to allow superuser rights. However, Root Check indicates I do not have root access. Any attempt to install BusyBox fails with BusyBox Installer app telling me I don't have root access.
Where is my mistake and what method will successfully root my device?

Give more info. Which device do you have. Also, did you try a soft reset?
It's a GT-P7510 and no soft reset. The unroot was pretty straightforward, Installed CWM, uploaded and ran zip file and rebooted. No, errors and Tab works fine, just no root access. Of course, the ROM is stock.

Hello
I have problems with rooting Note 3 with Kingo ROOT tool.
Everytime when i try to root the phone tool stuck at 27% saying Waiting for device...
I have enabled usb debugging. Phone restart sometimes in the rooting process.
If i try to root with Kingo ROOT apk i get sometimes root failed or come to 95% then restart the device and phone is not rooted again.
What to do?
try to root with cf-auto root
But with this root app i will lose warranty right?
You would lose your warranty when you root your phone-via the app or otherwise.

Do i need to put my phone in download mode if i want to root it with Kingo ROOT tool too?
Cuz i do it like it says on Kingo tutorial site for Note 3 and didnt put phone in download mode.
I really want to root it with Kingo ROOT tool since KNOX wont mark it that was been rooted and i can also unroot it very easy.

No you do not put it in download mode for kingo root
This is for the verizon Note Edge.
I can't post in our forum but I had problems getting root. Kingo root works but I had to wipe my phone to root it before and after getting developer mode.
These are the steps I used:
Wipe data in stock recovery (Vol Up, Home, Power button).
Remove SIM card.
Restart phone.
Setup phone over WiFi.
Run Kingo Root.
Achieve Developer mode.
Repeat steps 1-5.
Flash the TWRP 3.0 file by mickey387 (I think was his name) and install supersu to gain permanent root.
I couldn't get my phone to show up in Odin and adb/fastboot would restart the phone in recovery but never loaded twrp after numerous tries at both. I had taken the 03/01/2016 Android Security Patch which I'm sure is probably why kingroot wouldn't work. I'm not sure why Odin and adb/fast wouldn't load twrp until after I was rooted again in Developer mode by the Kingo root app even though the kingo root app uses adb too.
I rooted with newest kingroot i currently don't have access to a computer atm, it displays ads on lockscreen and lags ive tried everything to replace w supersu it doesnt delete it ive noticed the script tries to delete "com.kinguser" stuff i also noticed they changed the kingroot apk to "cafeuser.apk" inside a folder called cafeuser i dont want to just delete it because like i said i dont have access to computer i want to know if anyone knows a successful way to uninstall this new kingroot 4.9.6 and keep root status and perhaps use superuser or supersu without computer access safely thank you for your time
Be advised im using a metropcs LG K7
LG MS330 running 5.1.1
may help
When asking for help you need to provide additional information such as device info:
sdk
manufacturer
model
However I faced the same problem too!
If I understood you correctly...so first thing first.
1. install superSU first & use root to install it as a system app any root apps can do that)
2. before rebooting the phone....please install busybox utilities from an app called "Busybox" on google play
3. reboot the device
4. once successfully rebooted open SuperSU & grant it root from kingroot & try to get it to install its binary.
- if it cant, disable kingroot after you know superSU was granted root & then try again.
-if it doesnt work again...then uninstall kingroot & relaunch SuperSU & try to let it install its binary again.
I have the lgms330 with the same kingroot version, did yours also automatically convert it to a system applies? I've never seen it do that on my other phones. Also my PlayStore stopped working when the update showed up there. Lol only good thing is Google also stopped telling me it would hurt the system. I have the newest version downloaded but I'm terrified to install it until I get some opinions cuz I currently don't have a monitor for my computer in case I brick it.
How to download kingroot
