I downloaded the latest official gb to my computer(b572g). I have an aurora ics custom rom right now and cwm 5.0.27
I just want to play a little with stock gb and maybe try modding it a little. It is in update.app format and I wonder if I can somehow make a flashable .zip file to mod and why not make a custom rom from the stock one....Is there a way?
Thanks in advance!
Helo all,
Since my fisrt custom ROM, OXYGEM, my carrier name changed, even now, when i'm using the Aurora ICS rom from DZO, after installing the previous stock roms, the carrier name is not the one that was supost to be.
My girlfriend has the same phone. she was using the stock rom yet. I installed the Aurora ICS and the carrier name is right!
Do you know how can i overwrite tis problem? there's a file or something that I can copy from her phone.
Tanks
I suggest you to install official 2.2 or 2.3 to restore sytems to normality.
than you just root and instal CWM and custom rom again.
To install custom cum you can skip the root part off course...

To install the Aurora ICS ROM i had to downgrade to stock 2.2 and install the 2.3 official rom!
So, i gues it doesn't resolve the problem! =/
I want to test the OMNI rom and right now I'm with CM 10.1.3 in GS2 i9100.
The rom is stable, and now I have uptime of 35 days without any problem.
But I want to test the OMNI ...
My question is how to backup my SMS from CM rom into the OMNI rom?
If I want to reinstall a backup made of the current rom with CWM, it is possible to do it with TWRP recovery from rom OMNI?
Is there a deodexed Stock 4.4.2 rom available or a fairly simple way to create one. I would just like to be able to add files that must be on deodexed to work
I have a MTK6572 (Doogee DG300) and I need to install the cleveri rom on it, the only problem is that the tutorial I found about ROM porting says to get files from META-INF folder of the base rom and send them to META-INF folder of the custom Rom, but I don't have a META-INF folder on the base rom, I not even have it on my device, which I flashed and installed the base rom already.
Is the META-INF really necessary? Can't I just edit the one from the custom rom, as the tutorial suggests in the end?
