Hi,
I'm in serious troubles with my LG G2 (D802) Europe version (bought in Italy): after flashing a custom ROM, I pressed on "reboot" button of the recovery and the phone rebooted with a totally black screen and a white text at the upper left corner
"[1660] Fastboot mode started".
If I press on the power button for a while, it restarts and goes back to the same screen. If I press power button *and* volume up, the same. The same by pressing with volume down or pressing all the buttons.
If I connect to the PC it writes on the screen 5 more lines:
[509280] -- reset --
[509290] -- portcharge --
[513820] -- reset --
[513830] -- portcharge --
[513900] fastboot: processing commands
I read on Internet that a similar issue has been solved by doing:
fastboot erase laf
fastboot flash laf laf.img
fastboot reboot
but in my case after the reboot the screen goes back to the "Fastboot mode started". BTW, "fastboot devices" fires out:
???????????? fastboot
but fastboot can still do something on the phone, like flashing the laf, the boot, the recovery... in fact I flashed aboot, boot, recovery, laf but after reboot the phone was still stuck.
Is the devices completely lost or there's something I can do to recover it ?
thanks !

Hello, I have the same problem and I've done the same but didn't work. The download mode stay for one second and then go back to the fastboot mode. I've tried with some laf images versions to fix the download mode with no result. I have the same question, Can I fix the problem?
thanks !

Need help here!
My Nexus 10 was with stock 4.4.4, rooted with TWRP. I decided to flash the factory image files by removing the -w in flash-all.sh. However it ended up with being stuck with the rotating balls. After about 45 minutes, I decided to go to the fastboot mode (pwr+both volumes), then select recovery (I planned to do factory reset and clear cache). After trying to reboot into recovery mode (pwr + one volume button), it now shows an open bootloader with following message below the bootloader (the bootloader seems still unlocked):
Dowloading...
Do not turn off target!!
What does it mean? What is it exactly downloading? And what should I do? Should I lock the bootloader? Also it does not respond now if I push the volume buttons. It's not recognized on my Mac with the with the following command:
fastboot devices
I also notice the following line:
Reboot Mode Flag: NONE
Now I just booted into recovery, but it shows the bootloader with the exclamation mark! After a few minutes, it automatically switched to the never-ending rotating balls. What can I do?
When you get the Downloading...message you're in the Recovery screen. Don't worry about the message. Press vol up and power to get into the recovery menu - there you can wipe cache and system. As you're in recovery, Fastboot devices will not recognise your tablet, only adb commands.
If I was you and this didn't work, I'd just reboot into fastboot and flash the image files manually. You'll lose root, data and twrp but these can easily be gotten back through fastboot.

Hello all,
Just a heads up that I have little to no knowledge of modding/rooting phones whatsoever.
My phone decided to reboot by itself earlier today and was stuck in a boot loop for around 30 minutes before I managed to get into recovery mode. At this point it is still boot looping. Afterwards it just stop the boot loop and now stuck on recovery mode. Powering it off from recovery mode or by holding power button for 10s will only results in the phone rebooting itself into recovery mode again. I can get into Fastboot mode, however. Wiping cache and rebooting does not seem to do the trick as it would only go back to recovery screen after the OnePlus logo again.
Please advise on this matter
install drivers. connect to fastboot. Type "fastboot continue", this should turn on your phone but it's a temporary fix. Once it's on copy your data & perform a factory reset. - found it on oneplus forums (haven't tested by me)

Thanks for your reply, where exactly do i type "fastboot continue" ?
> First you need to install ADB & Fastboot to your Computer (Use This guide)
> Then Install Oneplus 2 Drivers (Use This Guide)
> Connect phone via Fastboot mode (Turn off the phone. Hold Volume Up + Power to enter fastboot mode. Connect phone to pc)
On the first guide (ADB & Fastboot) you'll find how to open a Command Window to issue fastboot commands. That's where you need to type "fastboot continue"
My phone is bricked, it boots on fastboot mode, when i plug it to pc it shows this lines:
fastboot mode started
-reset-
-portcharge-
-reset-
-portcharge-
fasboot: processing commands
when i try to go into download mode it works for few seconds then go back to fastboot with the same lines
when i go to recovery and try to delete everything it works then boots into this fastboot mode again and pc won't recognize it help me please
UPDATE : I installed Qualcomm drivers and now device is recognized as android bootloader interface
UPDATE: I got out of fastboot somehow, i got into download mode successfully and then i flashed a stock rom kdz via LG FlashTool2014 but it seems that it's not the right one because it's now stuck in lg logo bootloop, my phone is a D802 International but i don't know which rom is the right one for this model, if someone knows something please say it it'll be really helpful thank you ^^
Where are you from?
Algeria, but the phone is from europe (i don't know exactly where) and i don't have the box anymore :/
EDIT: I tried 2 stock roms for now
-Europe OPEN D80220B_00.kdz
-Europe OPEN D80220D_00.kdz
Both didn't work, and the second one i couldn't get into factory reset (holding power and vol -)
UP: Everything is fixed, here are the steps I followed in order to get my phone back to life:
---Do this steps only if you have those white lines after installing wrong auto-rec version on the LG G2 D802---
---This method worked for me,it may not work with you, use it at your own risk---
-Your phone should not be recognized by pc, so install adb and qualcomm drivers, then in device manager it should appear as "bootloader interface" or "adb interface ..."
-Download right kdz rom for ur phone
-Extract the laf.bin aboot.bin boot.bin recovery.bin rpm.bin sbl1.bin tz.bin and dbi.bin
-Go to adb folder and past these .bin files there then rename them into .img (aboot.bin-->aboot.img)
-Open a cmd and write fastboot, to be sure that ur phone is recognized do a -fastboot reboot- if phone reboots then it's all good
-Now you have to erase the laf.img, aboot.img, boot.img etc.... from the phone, to do that, in the command prompt write: -fastboot erase laf.img- and do that for all the other .img
-After that you have to flash those .img eg: -fastboot flash laf laf.img- ( if it says cannot be loaded or cannot be reached, write the directory into the img file eg: -fastboot flash laf C:\adb\laf.img- then it should be fine)
-When you finish flashing all the img files, do a fastboot reboot
-Then shut off your phone (hold power button for like 30seconds, lg logo should flash for a second then the phone will be off)
-Now you can go into download mode (hold Vol-Up button and plug in usb)
-All there is left is flashing stock rom with LG FlashTool2014 ^^

Okey I have done my 1st v20 phone perfectly well. my 2nd one (my wife's) is stuck after step3 in dirty santa (flashing twrp - ok, starting twrp - won't start) it won't open. Follow the instruction (volume down+ power, lg screen, re-press power button 4sec, choose yes, yes, twrp should start) - it starts something with a circle all is below static screen. I do try to choose something with my fingers, but nothing changes. when you hit power button for 0.01sec the phone restarts and stucks in lg boot logo, re-do twrp start procedure - same thing repeating. tryed done the step3 again - successfully - same result - won't start twrp properly.
At no point of dirtysanta procedure I got any of the corrupt device pre-boot warning. done everything as instructed and as on my 1st all-went-well v20.
That circle is the boot up image.
Try
Fastboot commands
Fastboot erase system
Then place the twrp.img from dirty sanat with fasboot stuff and name it twrp.img
Fasboot flash recovery twrp.img
Then unplug and pull battery, put battery in and hold volm down and power.. When lg logo shows up let power go for 1 second and re hold it immediately. When prompt shows up yes yes and wait... Should get twrp.
That or re-run step 3 after sending fasboot erase system command and it will push the boot.img over and twrp again..

Worked. Priceless! Next: using the xda search to find (if any) solution for removing the corrupt screen message after restart or power up. Not big deal but really hate this message

Only for those specific devices our images are hosted in the bootloader. Not a IMG partition
I tried with different drivers etc. but its just don't work, i downloaded TOOL ALL IN ONE, but this said that device was found but not said what or which device, only when phone is normally started i see it on the list of "adb devices" and in TOOL ALL IN ONE. Please help thanks in advance =)
Fastboot is an entirely different mode from adb, and as such it requires a different tool. In the console there is a command "fastboot", which is what you need to use to interact with the phone in fastboot mode. You can boot into fastboot mode from power off with the USB to computer plugged in by holding Volume Down, or it might be possible with TOOL ALL IN ONE, I haven't used it much.
Some basic commands:
fastboot flash unlock path/to/unlock.bin # This will flash the unlock bin
fastboot getvar unlocked # This will check if the device is unlocked
fastboot reboot # This will reboot the phone into normal mode, since powering off by holding the power button is a pain
To flash TWRP, there's a more advanced process with some specific requirements, but I'd be happy to share those if wanted.

First of all, which version of G6 do you have? The US997 one, or the H870?

H870
For H870 I'm not entirely sure, but I know that for the US997 you have to do a special procedure to make it permanent. Make sure you back up everything first, too.
With the phone in fastboot mode and a computer connected with fastboot installed and the twrp zip downloaded as "twrp.zip" (or whatever you want):
Make sure the bootloader is unlocked: fastboot getvar unlocked (should return "yes" or "true").
Flash the recovery: fastboot flash recovery twrp.zip (replace twrp.zip with the relative or absolute filepath/name).
Unplug the phone from the computer and reboot into recovery by holding Power and Volume Down. When the logo appears, lift your finger off the power button briefly and then continue pressing.
When you get to the factory reset menu hit yes twice, then the phone should boot into twrp (it may flash the LG logo, I've had different behavior on different phones. You won't need to hold the Power-Volume Down combo any more).
In twrp, swipe to allow modification, then in the Wipe menu select Format Data (and enter yes). This will wipe the phone, so make sure everything was backed up beforehand.
From the main menu go to the Reboot menu and select Recovery.
Here it might vary from the US997. Below are suggestions which I think are needed to have it work.
Download the no-verity-opt-encrypt zip, and connect the phone to the computer.
Once it's rebooted into recovery mode: adb push path/to/no-verity.zip /sdcard/
Then from the install menu in twrp install the zip.
Reboot into System from the reboot menu on the homescreen of twrp.
That should do it all.
