Hi
I am currently on android version 4.2.2 19506XXUBMK7 on Samsung GT 19506
When I go in to check what is the latest firmware 4.4.2(Sammy Mobile) it has product code Ireland (Vodafone) - VDI. I am currently on a different network would that have any effect on updating ?
If not then is it just a case of using ODIN to update the firmware to 4.4.2 making sure I take a back up with ROM back up? Its been a while
Cheers

What do you mean your phone doesnt have a brand?
From your screenshot, i can see its a GT-i9505 Samsung Galaxy S4 (correct me if im wrong).
It is true that Germany o2 network only have Android version up to 4.2.2 (see screenshot below)
You can try update using ODIN (Over the air - OTA)

Hi all.
I currently have an international (Australia) Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-19505 running on:
4.2.2
Baseband: I9505XXUMBG4
Build: JDQ39.I9505XXUBMG4
Kernal: 3.4.0-1029328
Apparently, for my network carrier (optus), the Jellybean 4.3 update isn't being released until January sometime. Me, being the impatient kind, would like it now.
Would I9505XXUEMK8 be suitable for my optus handset? Does anyone here have the file on hand which is suitable for my S4?
Thanks heaps

I dont recommend flash new firmware coz ur brand still without updates for android 4.3. Always is better wait. But if ur impatient and u wanna try HERE is the latest version android 4.3 for Australia Unbranded. But Im not responsible if ur phone lose signal or bootloop or the world war. Tc about this :fingers-crossed:
EDIT: In Optus webpage they tell u will receive Android 4.3 at early to Mid January
I'm using the unbranded aus firmware with no issues at and it works well with optus and telstra
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda app-developers app

Hi all
Firstly, I'm sorry if this has been posted elsewhere but I haven't been able to find it. I have a Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 (the non LTE version) on Vodafone UK, I had the latest update on Kit Kat (I think it was 4.4.2) it was behaving very oddly and freezing multiple times through out the day. I tried to flash a Vodafone ROM using Odin, but it failed, and keeps failing - I later found out that this is because the version of the ROM I was using is earlier than the version I had, which is why its not working.
My phone is now stuck on the Firmware Upgrade encountered an issue screen, but I can't locate the most recent 4.4.2 Vodafone UK ROM - is there anyone that can help me please?
Thank you very much in advance for your help
Find here all you gotta do is select your country and model ul get United Kingdom vodafone in country list select that and it'll give you the download link

I am currently on a custom rom though would like to go to full stock version of note 3 with lollipop. I live in the UK and back when I was on KitKat I was on CSC: BTU and I would like to go back to that but there is no firmware from that region for lollipop. There are others such as VOD which is vodafone and is alos for the UK. So how would I go back to Stock Lollipop which will work with Kies and will be useable for UK?
BT: NL8
Baseband: NL8
I've tried to change them but they never flash in odin. So any help please?
This needs Odin though... Easiest method....
I am using the Poland Official Lollipop ROM...
