Hi guys,
Having a real problem with Link2SD and was hoping you could shed some light on what i'm doing wrong.
I'm consitently gettiong the following error:
"Mount script cannot be created.
mount: mounting /dev/block/vold/179:66 on /data/sdext2 failed: Invalid argument"
Specs:
-Samsung S4 i9505 international
-Rooted and running Antaresone & Alucard CM12 2015013 ROM
--Sandisk 64Gb class 10 Sd Card
-Partitioned with minitool as follows:
-60GB fat32 partition (primary)
-4GB Ext4 parition (primary)
I've tried using ext2/3 and 4 for the second partition to no avail, and I haven't been able to get link2SD to work on any of the previous builds of Antaresone & alucards Optimised Cm12 ROM builds.
Is this not supported by the ROM/phone or am i doing something stupid?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Bump in the name of my Sd card woes and sanity
Sorry for the desperate bump, but can someone even go so far as to confirm wether link2sd works on antaresone CM12 build?

I've created a 2nd partition on my 32GB micro SD card so that I can use Link2SD and create symbolic links. I created the partition as Ext2 (Primary), but I am receiving a Mount script error. 'Mount script cannot be created. Ext2 may not be supported on your device'.
I have a Galaxy S4 (rooted) with stock rom.
Does anyone know why I'm getting this error and what I can possibly do to resolve this? I'd really appreciate some help with this.
Hello,
I'm a new developer and try to reference other people's steps to change /data to f2fs. However, I have some problems and it have bothered me a few days. When I chose format /data and type yes, it showed error message " E: Unable to mount '/data' ". As a result, I decided to format then mount /data by myself. Unfortunately, when I used modified TWRP to mount /data which have already formatted by mkfs.f2fs , it showed error message "mounting /data, operation not supported on transport endpoint". However when I mount /data which formatted by make_ext4, it was success. I have already read my threads but I couldn't find a solution. Did any thing I forget to modified? Can anyone help me or give me some hints? Plz
Here is my modify step: (reference ss2man44 's thread in Nexus 7 Developer Discussion ,#Use of F2FS for /data)
1. use f2fs patch to modified kernel, turn on f2fs then flash to my device. It works.
2. modified twrp.fstab and fstab.grouper
3. give statically link to TWRP
Here is my environment:
Device: Nexus 7 (2012)
Kernel version: 3.1.10 (nightly)
Android version: 4.4.3
ROM: CyanogenMod(cm-11)
TWRP: 2.7.1.0 (support F2FS)
CONFIG_F2FS_FS=y
CONFIG_F2FS_STAT_FS=y
CONFIG_F2FS_FS_XATTR=y
CONFIG_F2FS_FS_POSIX_ACL=y
CONFIG_F2FS_FS_SECURITY=y
That last one defaults to N.
Switching to y fixes f2fs in twrp. However, it looks like I'm running into additional selinux issues with android: ubject_r:unlabeled:s0 data
Hello there.
I am currently running Android 5.0 LP (AllianceROM v9.1.1) on my rooted SGs5 klte G900F using TWRP and 64GB Samsung EVO MicroSDCard.
I just recently ran into some issues and wiped everything and reinstalled Alliance and started anew. B4 this happened i had partitioned my extSDcard and had Link2SD app and mounted my 2nd partition as ext4 and everythijg was fine. I researched about RAM swap so and Multi System Virtual Rom so ibwent ahead and wiped my extSDcard and Repartioned it With a 3rd n 4th partition.
1st partition: 44GB FAT32 for pics, Music ect.
2nd partition: 6GB SWAP for RAM
3rd partition: 6GB EXT4 for Link2SD
4th Partition: 9GB FAT32 for Multi System
I Just mounted my 2nd partition for SWAP and is working.
However i just opwned LINK2SD PRO and did as i did before and attemoted to mount scripts to ext4 and reboot and now i get an error saying Unable to mount: Invalid Arguement...
IF ANYONE CAN plz help me oit with this id greatly appreciate it as i have no clue what to do from here. Thank you for your time.
Hello. I install CM7 with this guide on wiki cyanogenmod org (Install_CM_for_jordan)
I create 2 primary partition on my sd card: FAT32 10GB and Ext4 5GB
I have fresh installation, connect WiFi, google account and I install Link2SD.
Then i Try (re)create mount script in Link2SD(Plus) I got following error:
Mount script error
Mount script cannot be created.
mount: mounting /dev/block/vold/179:2 on /data/sdext2 failed: No such device
I don't know how to fix it. I searched on forums but I can't understand. Can you help me fix it step by step?
I really need Link2SD. I used it on my previous phone and work great.
How I should fix this?
Hi,
I think your header tells it all.
/data/sdext2 failed: No such device. You formatted your sd card with ext4 but link2sd is looking for ext2.
Have your tried to format the 2nd partition of your sd with ext2?
In my point of view 5GB for the link2sd partition is too much. 1 GB should be sufficient.

Hello guys, I have the same problem. Thanks Gazorbem for your advice, but app itself asks about the system that it will search for (user can indicate whether it is ext2 or ext4 etc.) I tried all options available (although I know that my partition is in format ext3) but problem still remains - app still can't mount this partition
hi guys,
I have a D803 with ext4 partitions. I understand that EXT4 needs trimming - downloading and running fstrim throws error about relocatable binaries.
I'm currently running CM 13.
How do you guys trim your disk ? or has everyone moved to F2FS ?
hi, try this and see if it works: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.diechel.xda.autotrim
