Hi everyone.Im using an S4 (i9505) thats currently locked to 02.I dont like it enough to buy an unlock for nearly £30,so i'm trying to use the unlock method using the service menu.
The phone is running 4.4.2 and ive been told that I need to be on 4.2.2 to be able to use this method............is this possible?Ive found only a couple of google pages referencing it......any help would be appreciated
I don't think it's possible without tripping knox

I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 i9505 - 16 GB White.
I also recently found that if I root it and install a custom ROM the knox will activate and I will lose my warranty....
Is there any way I can root it and install a custom ROM without activating the knox and losing the warranty?
I had a HTC Desire... but i'm totally newbie with this phone.

You own a Frankestein. Install this APP and add some screenshots.
@androidfine16: Without seeing your information from Phone Info, I can virtually guarantee that your only means of upgrading will be to install AT&T firmware, which will not lead to a good experience unless you're not planning on rooting the phone. AT&T locks its bootloader, making rooting virtually impossible.
If you just got this device, run, don't walk to where you got it from and return it.
help with rooting and flashing
hello all. i know this has probably been covered in other forums but i have been having trouble finding a strait answer. i want to root and flash cyanogenmod to my phone. i have a ATT s4 sgh i337 on 5.0.1. i have flashed and rooted other phones so i am comfortable with it for the most part. i was thinking of rooting using the kingroot method but am not sure if i can then flash cyanogen. im not set on using cyanogen so if there are other better or equal roms let me know to.
thank you all for your tie and sorry for bring this up yet again
I own an Samsung S5 Prime (SM-G906L) running on Android 6.0.1. At its age, yes it still works quite fast(S805+3gb ram).
Is there any way to unlock its bootloader? I can't literally do anything with it. I was planning to root and install a custom rom.
may want to check these types of threads out, I dont own this device nor have i played with it, but maybe some good info can be found here for you

I tried rooting the phone using cf auto root, etc but I came across some info that in order to root and install a custom rom, bootloader should be unlocked. And the thing is, I can't find any way to unlock it. It's really frustrating.
