[Q] Touchwiz -> cyagenmod -> google edition - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have the S4 9505i Samsung edition with touchwiz, which I rooted and installed cyagenmod 11.
It was working fine, but now it's time to move on,
I'd like give my phone to my father but before doing it I would like to unroot and convert it to google play edition, so he can get Lollipop, OTA etc.
Questions:
- is it possible to flush stock google rom on a "touchwiz" edition? ( if I'm not mistakken at leas the partions sizes are different )
-is it possible to do it on a mac (which doesn't have odin) ?
Thanks

You can flash the GPE rom found here. It's close to stock but with little features added.
You will not be able to do it if you're not rooted or don't have a custom recovery.
This is the only way to get gpe on a touchwiz version.
And you don't need Odin. Just transfer the rom to the sd card.

[Q] Google Edition based ROMs and Safestrap

Hello! I am running 4.3 MK2 on my galaxy s4 and I want to root and use a custom ROM. I understand that you must use safestrap and I am trying to consider my options for roms. I found This ROM which is based on the Google Edition, but has some AOSP features. Would I be able to install this ROM safely using safestrap because it is based on the Google Edition instead of AOSP? I have done a little searching around and haven't been able to find a clear answer about this.
No, you can only install 4.3 Touchwiz roms. 4.3 Google editions rom may eventually work, but currently seems to only cause bootloops.

[Q] S4 I9500 Stock Android Rom

Hi everyone! I just got a s4 i9500 and I want to install a stock 4.4.2 Android rom. I would like to know that which rom should I install. I don't use the censors on the phone, I just want a rom that runs smooth like Nexus 5. I found CyanogenMod that is 4.4.2. Should I install it? Or do you know a better rom?
And one last thing, what features will be missing (like censors or multiwindow) when I install a stock Android rom?
Thanks so much if you answer. ^^

Do you mean official ROM or custom? There is no custom 4.4.2. But there is indeed an AOSP Cyanogenmod 4.4.2. It lacks touchwiz features but is amazing. You can activate some touchwiz features using xposed. If you want official one, just today Kitkat 4.4.2 has rolled out for I9500.

Yeah I mean the AOSP rom. I installed CM11 and it's exactly what I want. But I want some features back like NFC. How can I get that. I couldnt find an NFC setting in this rom. Simply, where can I find Xposed compatible with CM11?

[Q] Drivedroid kernel question

Hey everyone,
I have a Galaxy Note 3 with stock 4.4.2 rom and root. I wish to use Drivedroid so I can boot images from my phone.
Is it possible to use the stock rom with a custom kernel from, say, cyanogenmod, X Note, etc. so I can use my phone as a cd drive and UMS device at the same time?
Or is anyone able the patch the stock kernel to allow UMS mode and maybe fast charging?
Any other info regarding the use of drivedroid on a stock rom with root would be helpful.

In kernels thread you can see what developer say about which roms are supported.

I think you need a special kernel for the I9505 roms to work on the I9515.
You can find more info here.
I would be careful.
You could also flash back to stock, flash TWRP, and install supersu from TWRP.
