So I discovered a manufacturer in China that has started manufacturing a smart-watch that is plainly put a clone of the pebble. I just received today my production sample and am testing it. It's based on the EFM32 Cortex-M micro-controller. Bluetooth 4.0 BLE. The screen is Sharp Memory LCD. Battery 270 mAh , they claim battery life is over 10 days. Firmware is based on FreeRTOS and looks very similar to that on the Pebble. Watch has the same 4 buttons layout and the exact magnetic charger. Water resistance is rated IP 67. Tested it by tacking a bath. Even has the same issue with an easily scratch-able screen . Comes with 4 watch faces.

These things go for 58 usd a piece. They haven't hit any sites like DealExtreme or Aliexpress yet.
This is the Android app used to connect to the watch if anyone wants to decompile it : https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_0tZLvAcbvCYVVSaEQzVWpsZzQ/edit
Managed to find out that ZTE is selling this device under their brand : http://www.appchina.com/app/com.mtt.smartwatch/
It's exactly the same as this ZTE as I am curently using the ZTE app to connect to the watch.

This is basically the ZTE bluewatch in a different case.

Guess you'll need about 9 days to test the battery
It came with a half charged battery and it ran out of charge after 5 days.

Super anything else you've found out? Any other issues?
would you recommend it? :good:
Pretty hard not to recommend for 58 bucks. I found that on my Note 2 it sometimes looses Bluetooth connection after a few hours but doesn't seem to have this issue on the P6. The companion app for Android is just version 1.0 and has just been released last month so I am hopping there will be updates to solve this.
Manufacturer sent me an updated companion app that seems to have fixed the connection issues. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_0tZLvAcbvCR1pZcWw0OHdxcWQxQUt2bUFJczNRSXdtV3A0/edit
They claim to provide updates at least once a month.

Good news.
can you use apps from the pebble apps store?
does this work as a stand alone watch? I.e. when its not connected to a device.
No you can't use the Pebble app's and yes it does work like a standalone watch , you can even completely shut down Bluetooth. Till now I'm quite impressed with the little guy. I'm now used to being able to see all my notifications on it and to control the music player. Pedometer is also kinda cool and the data syncs to the phone app.
same spec as the pebble

So without connected to a device you the the time, date, does the vibrating alarm work, any others functions?
Are the spec's exactly the same as the pebble with all the sensors and GPS?
The 10 day battery life is just fantastic. :good:
Thanks for the info' :good:
i'm writing right now a detailed review of the watch and will be posting it in a new thread.
Yes it has all the functions you would expect from a normal watch and they can be used without a phone , so you can set alarms.
Neither this nor the Pebble have GPS. But they do have an accelerometer.

The info' in the ClearDroid link watch comparison I posted is incorrect, its says it has a GPS.
can't wait for the review, mentioning all the 'stand alone watch' functions will be most helpful.

What sensor does a compass app use. d'you know?
Magnetic and it doesn't have that. The review is up.

You can guess my point though if you search the title of this thread. There is a youtube video which I will link in 6 posts which I find fascinating.
This smart watch has android, is inexpensive, has a pulse monitor, and "e-ink" screen. I wanted to know if it is any good. It has the same cpu as the SmartQ Z1 but is much thinner 9.5 mm.
Thoughts?
No SIM or WiFi, 320mAh battery. Android 4.2.
I'm sure it's a good piece for those that prefer notifies. I guess someone will have to buy it and test it.

Yeah no SIM sucks, or WiFi, no Compass, no GPS. But it does have Bluetooth 4.0/2.0 whatever that is... anyone know if that is a mistranslated 4.2?
That is a small battery true 320mAh but that possibly leads to the lighter weight, lower height of the watch which is 9.5mm thick.
It does have Android 4.3 actually, and it uses the same cpu as the SmartQ Z1 which is already ported. It only has 512 megs rom and 512 megs ram, which will be a problem for adding apps, that right there is almost enough to kill it.
The big thing it does have is.
Pulse Monitor
E-Ink Background, it switches between e-ink and TFT seamlessly, there is a youtube video that makes me want to buy this watch.
Run time is 7 days on paper, while displaying time 100% of the time using e-ink (very cool)
It has android so it can be upgraded at some point by the ppl in this forum!!!
If there is something similar / better out there for the same money let me know before I buy this one! I am leaning toward this one mainly because it is so thin, its actually thinner than the apple watch (10.5mm)

Still 5 posts to go
So, there is the Reedone X1 which is interesting but does not have the low power e-ink TFT thing going for it. I like the specs but dont like the 11mm thickness and lack of e-ink TFT.
Reedone website shows the Reedone X2 (there would be a link here, but you have to find it yourself because reasons!) The Reedone X2 is the same watch as the X2 Smartwatch from IQI, with same pictures and stats.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a smart watch then?
This looks the same as GearBest are selling as Atongm WO13 http://www.gearbest.com/smart-watches/pp_166847.html and has the same display as he MiMi Mi-W3/Podoor PW305II http://www.gearbest.com/smart-watches/pp_139964.html
I looked at this a few weeks ago but could see no advantages over the Mi-W3 I already own plus the following disadvantages:
Not waterproof - the MiMi is IP67 rated.
Much larger in height.
Proprietary charging cradle - what is the point when it isn't waterproof and uses exposed electrodes? Just something else to lose or break.
Edited to add: The BT 4.0/2.0 is because it uses a dual module that connects with either 2.0 or 4.0 protocols dependent on the device it is connecting to.

I have been researching this over the past day.
It appears to be sold under 3 different brands
As Antogm W013 through gearbest,, geekbuying, lightinthebox, everbuying/dealsmachine, coolicool/efoxshop, Ebay and Aliexpress - but no stainless version
As IQI X2 on Aliexpress

I don't believe it is Android based, apart from the splash screen there is nothing in the videos or adverts to suggest that it is. As it uses an Ingenics XBurst CPU I would guess it uses a version of their MIPS compiled Linux.
Although on Pandawill and Geekbuying, it clearly states Android 4.3 as the OS. Also, didn't the smart Q run on the same JZ4775 chip and run Android? i'll check with all the china shops tommorow and see what they say about the OS.
LightInTheBox says Android too, I was just going on the videos and screenshots, neither of which look like any Android I've seen, but of course it could be heavily customised.
Read the reviews of the NO.1 G2. Doesn't sound like a good buy. I'd definitely wait to see what the S7ler or others reviews have to say about the Sun.
maybe they mean it's compatible with android, not running it as an os?

I saw a video of the No. 1 S2 and the screen goes to the edges and beyond. I saw lettering go past the screen, which looks glitchy. I was tempted because of how slick it looks but they didn't do any work on switching the square scene to a round screen.

I am torn between this one and the Reedone HG-X1.
ISI X2 :
72.08 - Lowest Price
TFT Screen, Heart Rate Monitor, Pedometer, etc...
Reedone HG-X1:
80.99 - Lowest Price (black plastic?) at
Same as ISI X2
+GPS
+Waterproof
+Built in USB Connector
- 1mm thicker at dial
They are very similar. I have not seen a video on the Reedone yet though.
Any thoughts on these? Do they actually run Android? Would android gear be portable to these?
I gathered some information in this forum and around the internet and I've found that there are 2 possibilities for me: android wear devices (but the price is higher) and Chinese smartwatches, which seems to be more "complete" as they run a modified version of android (so that play store and other common android features work on the watch). Plus, I'd like to know more about rooting and flashing smartwatches... I see some kingwear, or lemfo lem5 (currently my favourite by design).
Now, is this correct? And if so, what smartwatch would you suggest right now?
I've also found these: FINOW X5: http://www.gearbest.com/smart-watch-phone/pp_576172.html NO.1 D5+: http://www.gearbest.com/smart-watch-phone/pp_446744.html

The only problem i have with the chinese smartwatches (i have 3 different types) is battery life (with the exeption of LEM4 / DM98). I can't get thru the day with one charge. And what good is a smartwatch if it runs out of battery in the middle of the day. It's like wearing a rock around your wrist.
Android wear smartwatches get thru the day on one charge, sometimes even two or three days (i have the LG G watch R, and only have to charge it once in two days). I'm waiting untill the Android Wear 2.0 smartwatches will hit the marked in a few weeks/month to really replace my LG g watch R. Yes, they will be more expensive then the chinese "full android" smartwatches but battery life is important to me.

I don't think battery life would be a problem for me, I would not make an intense use of it. It's more like -when my phone battery runs out, I still have my watch. But ye when the battery runs out the watch becomes a rock. So I should consider battery life of: NO.1 D5+, FINOW X5 PLUS and LEMFO LEM5 (my 3 choices for now). Do you have any of them?

No i don't have those. I have a Q1, LEM4 (sold it recently) and DM368(LF16). And i'm about to sell them all and i will probably wait for the android wear 2.0 smartwatches (although i kinda like the full android type of watches). I did a lot of searching and internet browsing before i bought my watches. And spend a lot of time tweaking them (also rooting them). But as a said, the battery life is a bit of a party crasher for me. I'm looking for a smartwatch that can replace my smartphone on some days. The LEM4 came close, but it's not a very appealing smartwatch, and the Android 4.4 version that i bought (android 5.1 is also available) had a very small app installation partition.
My perfect smartwatch isn't out there yet...

I see, since this would be my first smartwatch ever, I will get the NO.1 D5+ I think cause i like the band and the hardware is really powerful for the price. Who knows, maybe one day i will try one with android wear 2.0 like you. Thanks
NO.1 has released a new smartwatch G3+.
Apart from G3, this model is a tethering watch. You can answer phone calls via Bluetooth, but you can't insert sim card in it.
The most arractive thing is the rotating bezel. You can change watch face, apps, adjust volume, etc.
You can also add custom watchface even create watchface for it. Just go for the vxp face theard you can find everything you need.

Yep, 10 hours sounds about right. I find it disconnects if I put my arm behind my back, with my phone in the front pocket
I have updated it to the latest firmware( Feb 2017), mine was still on original December firmware, not had chance to try this firmware out properly to see if there are any improvements in battery etc.
I do like the watch to be fair, I only really use it as a 'dress watch' so the battery lifetime isn't as important to me.
Also noticed some of the latest watchfaces don't seem to work either, not sure why that would be.

Hi there, ten hour battery life is normal, but the bluetooth connectivity is not that bad. Please try to flash the latest firmware, the new firmware will solve this issue.
The new Kospet smartwatch, Kospet Optimus Smartwatch, it has dual operating system and dual processor, it look like a good feature, but it could be just a gimmick and just little impact on the overall performance of the smartwatch.

when they find the way i will buy it,no reason to buy,is the same Android 7.1 as the others nothing more. For Android act as a phone same problems or issues, not Bluetooth phone call, same display 1.39" , bigger is better as the Lemfo LemX, the resolution i can said better a little, yeah waterproof at least we can swim for 30 minutes,,we dont about the speaker if is louder or decent even the where are place it, Amoled no good for outside. So for the other MCU(SoC) the nordic, can do a lot of more, they call it Lite OS and as you can see and search this SoC in cheaper regular Bluetooth Smartwatch can do; Health, outdoor activities,Bluetooth notfication and call answer and rejection and fitness with better implementation of the GPS..
So will see
The second processor will dig in if you go to the limited mode where you basically don't have a smartwatch, but a watch. Is this what you look for when buying a smartwatch? I would say no. This is a really poor made device imo. With its gigantic battery for a smartwatch it will stay in stand by mode for 5-7 days. Please note that this is only stand by. If you actually use it, it will last 2-3 days(for example take a look at banggood where they list this). Ofc they say this is with 4g, but it is unknown what the "persistent" mode is.

its really a dump idea because its not implemented, for what reason i need a bracelet mode if i am using the watch as a phone and i wont get get nothing, the only way to work is with a second small display in the band.

Pay attention to these details:
Fresh out of the box - you must setup the watch for language and body height/weight/gender - then when the QR code pops up - follow the exact procedure on video below to install the SPECIAL VERSION of WiiWatch 2 app on your Android phone
https://youtu.be/WquMzVsXBmk
Avoid the WiiWatch 2 app on Google Play Store here
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.weitetech.WiiWatchPro&hl=en_US
This is crucial procedure for all owners of the Kospet Optimus Pro - as this special WiiWatch 2 app version is required to install all the latest firmware for each processor in the Kospet Optimus Pro
On my Kospet Optimus Pro, problems began right after I installed Google Chrome Browser - (to gain access to all my Google account password credentials for all the URL web sites I participate on ( lots of forums)) - the Heart Monitor stopped working, and the raise watch to enable the watch display stopped working too. Next I entered the new Low Power mode , and thats when I discovered the Watch internal silent alarm buzzer would start, and never stop and just remained buzzing the whole time - sadly I made this discovery after the watch had been sitting on a desk buzzing for 15 minutes straight!
Only recourse is turn off the watch - but that did not function until after I placed the watch in the USB charging cradle , then it responded to the upper right side power button ( long 30 second press) - after a full 2 hour charge , I removed all apps, and verified I had the latest firmware version
Kospet Optimus Pro firmware reports
Build Number = Kospet_Optimus_Pro_V1.5_20190523
KERNEL VERSION = 4.4.22
Thu May 23 16:56 10CST 2019
Baseband Version MOLYLR12A R2.MP.V5.23.P10
SERIAL NUMBER - 0123456789ABCDEF ( WTF?)
Frankly it smells like I may have a counterfeit Optimus Pro - other owners might want to review their "About Watch properties and inspect their serial number , as surely a S/N of "1234567890ABCDEF" is not valid!
https://youtu.be/0Ne11J7U-0w
Here are the results - no third party apps installed and no Sim Card installed
= non stop buzzing in low power mode at all times - and no remedy from Kospet Support -they point me to the useless "FullAndroidWatch.com forum
https://discourse.fullandroidwatch.com/t/kospet-optimus-pro-constant-buzz-in-low-power-mode/47540
And tell me "Update firmware and reset" - did that several times - no fix
Had to return watch to Ebay seller

I had one of the first Kospet devices and I liked it but it lacked the Lite OS and the always on display. I purchased the Optimus Pro and it arrives this week. The 3GB/32GB version.

Greetings, mate can you tell me your experiences with this watch please, how are you satisfied with it? How long last the battery? Are there any good apps for that circle resolution? Thx.

the most of the apps will work as there is an option to make the screen square. there is also an other option to optimize 3th party apps.
as for the battery life it's not bad at all. I use mine with sim card installed and I did not run out of the juice at the end of the day yet. so surely 1, maybe up to 2 days of "normal" use
in the "long standby" probably a week or two on one charge. I switch between the two modes depending on if I want to take my phone with me or not.
much on this watch remains to be fixed (gps integration with the stock fitness app, a working tethering app etc), but for what I use it ( 2nd phone and audio media consumption) I'd say it's pretty cool.
best regards
Kospet watches are nice to wear BUT they are not compatible with the VERIZON network. Sprint only offers a Dara plan, no voice or text. No matter who you have the phone can not make bluetooth calls.
It turns out to be little more than a wrist watch that doesn't offer near what you think.
