Just installed crDroid 5.0.2 on VS980; the ROM works great, except for the WiFi hotspot (which is a critical feature needed on my phone). None of my devices can connect to the WiFi network (tried on 2 different laptops and my nexus 7). Could this be due to the 12B radios required for installation? I can't get a specific error message; the devices simply won't join the network. I had the same problem on the Beanstalk 5.0.2 build which leads me to believe that it may be the radios. Can in flash different radios or would that brick me? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I know there has been a lot of wifi problems with Dlink Dir-655 and I9505. While on TW rom's i solved this using a guest wifi in the router.
Yesterday i flashed MIUI that is based on CM 10.1 (after flashing a stock rom and wiping everything). Wifi works great at work and when trying tethered networks using wpa2, non broadcasted wifi's etc but at home it doesnt even try to connect to either one of my networks.
Is the wifi problems the same for CM based rom's? I was under the impression that the wifi driver would be different than samsung stock and therefore not have the same issues? Or is it a HW issue? Any workarounds possible?
Been googling/searching all over the place but can't find any answers (looking mostly for wifi issue on CM as MIUI is rather uncommon).
I have been having issues using custom roms on my phone. I tried installing several roms (stable releases) and my phone acts up in different ways. My recent attempt was with paranoid android 3.99 rc2 which I assumed is very popular so it should work well. The problem I am having is that it does not connect to the cell network at all (phone and data). If anyone has seen something like this before please let me know what I might be doing work. OK so I'm running the latest MIUI from www.miuiandroid.com on a Galaxy S4 and my WiFI is not working. This has been the case for the last 3 or 4 updates, and I've just been living with it and minimizing Internet use on my 3G data plan.
I've been trying to get this fixed, I've tried flashing the NON-HLOS baseband package in Odin that matches the ROM, but that didn't work. I've tried flashing various modem packages, but that didn't work. I've tried the other MIUI distribution from en.miui.com but that had the same issue. I've tried talking to it nicely, but that didn't work. I'm not at a loss.
Surely this isn't a major problem? MIUI is a very popular ROM. It can't be that everyone using MIUI on a GS4 just foregoes WiFi, right?
Could someone point me to the instructions for getting WiFi to work on MIUI with the Galaxy S4? I would be eternally grateful.

You need to install a custom kernel to get the wifi working.

I was wondering if there are any available custom ROMS that work with Verizon 4G LTE and WiFi? Currently I am unable to connect to WiFi on my Moto X Pure after installing an Android 6.0.1 rom. I have not come across any custom roms that are guaranteed to work with Verizon so far, help is much appreciated, thank you.

Every rom I have ran so far have worked. Currently on AICP. I've used TruPure, Dirty Unicorn and Pure Nexus.
Did you turn on Enhanced 4G via the Moto hidden menu. The app "Advanced Signal Status" can get you to the menu too.
Make sure you are rooted and using franken kernel while on 6.0.1

My device is D820. On stock everything was fine, LTE has worked all over the city. But LTE does not work on any cyan/aosp-based ROMs. I chose different network modes, including LTE-priority, does not work, the connection is completely lost. In addition, the network has become much more likely to disappear.
ROMs I flashed: CM13, ResurrectionRemix last build, Paranoid Android 6.0.3.
