[Q] HD2 Rom for Spotify use only - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hi!
I use my HD2 for Spotify only. No phone, photo, etc..
I used SlimRom for a while, but it did not react smooth and fast.
I did a search for which rom to use and found GeeWiz. But after 2 days, I'm unable to install this rom and would like to find out if there are any other good and very light roms to use.
What do you advice?
Thanks!

Ganna tell you in the next days
€dit:
OK gonna removing this after testing 30 minutes
2x Backscreen
2x cant install app that i need
ok now waiting for better one
if im gonna change kernel to hastarin 7.7, mobile data gonna still working?
thank you
wifi tether?
gave it a test but it doesnt seem to work just kept giving me a force close error
restarted it and still nothing other than that works great i need a good build w/o sense =]
My experience with this build so far negative. Robotic voice and Black Screen in just 3 min of use. (stock 3.14 WM with stock 2.15 radio) After MDJ's revolution V2.3 with r7.7 this one looks like it need some work on stability. I was checking it because of 5mA promise. Disappointed a bit.

Have you tried to change the stock WM?
Because I had bad experiences with stock rom.

Try run Superuser first =)
Because that program need root =)
only thing i've ran into so far is not being able to download paid/protected apps from the market
Wow!! So many negative comments lol.
Anyway, download and installed last nite and so far i'm quite impressed with the data. Usually on all builds I've flashed, data is guaranteed to drop after couple of hours of installing, but since yesterday its been cool.
Only problem so far is that when it wakes up from sleep, I can see the screen, but then screen goes blank immediately for few seconds.Have to keep trying to wake it up.
But no thanks, good build.
Works good so far. Thx!
If the screen goes black put it under a bright lightbulb and then turn off auto brightness, how us 3g for real? Anybody? I'm so wanna test this if 3g is stable!

[Q] MIUI Rom wont use certain applications?

Hey guys, I have posted this in another forum but didnt get much luck.. wanted to try it here before I gave up and hung myself.
Very briefly: I have just flashed my fourth rom, this time I went for MIUI. Fantastic, really good speed, very aesthetically pleasing, etc.
Anyway, I have tried to run some GBA emulators and they havent worked. They flash the black screen for about 5 seconds, and the game plays in the background but it minimises the program; it says it is still running in the notification area but when I try to access it it just minimizes again.
Is this a common problem on MIUI? Has anyone else had a similar issue? Im sure its MIUI related as I have had the program running on several different ROMS..
Please dont make me choose between this awesome rom and being able to play Mother 3!!
Thanks guys;
Vincent.
Edit:
Turns out it is a gingerbread incompatibility. Can be fixed by installing a compatible emulator *facepalm*

Herolatte problems

Hi
i had cyanogenmod on my hero but it´s to slow for this rom. so i flashed herolatte on it same days ago. now i have some problems and wanted to know how i could solve them.
1, weather: i doesn´t find my possision and doesn´t show me the weather from where i am. tried it with mobile internet and wifi.
2, lockscreen picture: how can i change the picture of the lockscreen? tried to change the theme and mode but i always have the sea gull
3, youtube app: the app is working but i can´t watch the clips. i tried it yesterday with mobile internet. and today with wifi and then the phone crashed and did a reboot
I´m not to much in to this stuff with roms and so. Is there maybe a better rom for the hero?
thanks
Use decked rom if u want speed or rose if u want sense,or try vanilla eclair fr more speed,or FroYo fr a froyo rom
I'd recommend floyo n maybe even heroine too there r so many options read comments n download a rom...

i wanted to try Elelinux-7.1, but i have some problems with herolatte
i can´t connected to the pc. and i can´t install the rom
In fact, herolatte has a lot of bugs, and it seems to be, as far as I rembered from the last time I tried it, that it was really slow compared to other roms than can be faster and more efficient.
You really should listen to bharat_goku's advices, he's really god damn right!
I will try later to flash an other Rom. But it´s not so easy with this buggy rom.
compared to cyanogenmod, herolatte is lot more faster.

Quick Keys on a custom ROM (MIUI.US)

Hello boys, girls, and friendly animals.
I installed MIUI.US yesterday and noticed the same thing that's always bothered me from non-stock or non-CM ROMs: there's no way to use the phone's Quick Keys (other than setting them to work like, say, a Back button using ButtonRemapper).
One of the things I use the most from the stock ROM is the shortcut to send an SMS to a contact. I've found that without this, ROMs eventually annoy me.
Is there any way to go about and making these work? I tried installing UserKeysTool.apk (com.tmobile.userkeystool) from a stock ROM (s14mc's 1.6 Slim) to no avail; the app simply crashes upon opening it, which means I'm missing some other file I'm not aware of.
Any help would be appreciated here.

Rebooting during navigation & apps that use nav

I am getting reboots while using the Uber Partners or Lyft apps when they use google navigation (they integrate with a nav app for navigation). This only happens when using an AOSP based Lollipop rom but not stock (specifically tried Blisspop, Fusion and CM). I do not change or alter the kernels when trying any of the roms. I have not found any known issues where rebooting occurs with google navigation by itself, but I could be wrong of course. I would really like to use an AOSP rom rather than stock but cannot with this issue. Any suggestion to get around this, if this is known and I just need to wait, or any other suggestions would be great. Thank you.
Hi, I use a lot GPS apps, tried Lyft on my phone (S5-gm900f, with Phoenix ROM v6.3 + Kernel) and it's working fine.
It's the most stable and powerful ROM I've ever used on my S5.

Thank you for the reply. I don't think that rom is available for me (g900t). Do you use the Lyft map or let it switch to google map navigation?
You're right, its only for gm900f ,
And I made a mistake, I tested Uber and it worked fine, saw the drivers and set the pick up location
Since I'm outside USA couldn't check my phone number with Lyft.
Sorry

Thank you again. Also, this is on the driver side where the driver uses driver app which in turn integrates with a navigation app such as google maps.
