as all i was very keen to know and have lollipop update through any source either with custom rom or yureka update through system update...so i tried one of the method of cyanogen... ie, i install the https:/get.cm app and after download and install when i run it, it say "UNSUPPORTED DEVICE" which i was shocked to see and which is very disappointing to me atleast.
now i have to just wait for yu to roll out the lollipop update soon....
if anyone sure for receiving update please answer below...it goes for you also "xda-developers"

Try out this build: [ROM][5.0.2][UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 12 [tomato][WIP]
try this one
http://forums.yuplaygod.com/threads/experimental-cyanogenmod-12-32-bit-builds-unofficial.3570/
and yes to your query . I have seen the cyanogen website. they have no sign of our device on the downloads menu. Keep searching for tomato as that is the codename of yu yureka
There were some minor updates available for cyanogenmod . A small solution. (Just try out if this works)
shutdown Your device. Pull Out The Battery .
Hold Down The Battery in Your Hands For About 14 seconds .
Now Enter The Battery Inside The Phone
Connect The Device To Wifi Or 3g And Wait For A While .
Now After Some Time You will Receive A Notification In The Yu Yureka Notification Bar
Pull Down The Notification Bar And Open The Notification
You will find the Screen Showing Download Update .
Its jst a small info. I hope it helps.

I've got a Lenovo S6000-H 16 G.B. (Call & Msg Enabled) Tablet with Android 4.2.2 equipped. I think Lenovo company has given up on supporting it and releasing updates.
Is there any way to upgrade its Android (For example to 4.3 or 4.4) manually? If yes, would you explain how, please?

If Lenovo is no longer offering official OS upgrades, then it would have to be an custom rom.
If you use the search bar you can find information about flashing custom roms on your tablet, but I would
suggest you really study the case first, and make sure the ROM really works for your Tablet, or you might end up with an non-booting tablet..

So this is for ANY device? I have the d2cri and there are no new roms being developed for it. I really want to be rid of KitKat and to get Lollipop but nothing I have tried has worked up to this point.

Just downloaded and installed this on to my MediaTek China phone. Unfortunately this app has not been active for the last 3-4 years. Shame as it would make a nice little community for all of the MTK users out there

I probably wouldn't have found this if you didn't make a comment. Would you please point out what link you used to get a ROM, all the ones I see here are broken or non-functiomal. I've been looking for some firmware to put into my RCA Tablets that haven't made it past Android 5 Lollipop. I wish I could find something more up to date like Android 8.1
I didn't get a ROM. I merely downloaded this app to my phone, installed it and noticed that all of the posts were from 3-4 years ago.
are we going to see any updates soon?
Here's a usable link

I doubt it. I've been waiting for years searching for an update to my RCA tablets. I can Root them but then I have nothing to flash into it. So I, like everyone else is stalled.
Here's a workable link to the MTK app

HI,
I haven't been on here for years. Anyway, is there a way we can flash our phones to the most recent OS?
I've tried researching on here but didn't find anything. Thanks in advance.
The simple answer is no. Even though Android Oreo (8.0) has been officially released by Google it was only for the Pixel and Nexus Phones. Phone like the Essential made by other OEMs won't get the update until that manufacturer makes a officially ROM for their phone using the Android O code from Google. Hopefully since Essential uses the barbones stock Android ROM it won't take long for them to push out an 8.0 update. Another way to get 8.0 early would be to install a custom ROM built from O open source code from Google. And since we don't don't have kernel /source code from Essential yet and for that matter even TWRP custom recovery, it will be a little bit until we see custom Roms. Hopefully though Essential will either push out an update soon or release source code for the stock rom. Until that happens there will be no Android O. Sounds like we'll all just be patiently waiting to find out what happens in time.

Firmware updates / upgrades are a lot of work for the manufacturer, as they have to add their own code (drivers, etc) to make Android work with particular parts of the device hardware, add their own software (e.g. TouchWiz on Samsung phones), do testing and fix bugs, and push a multiple-gigabyte update that replaces the entire firmware, for every device they make. As a result, most manufacturers only provide updates for one or two new major Android versions before stopping.
If official update/upgrade support is unavailable for your device, most devices are still supported by members of the community through custom firmware (aka custom ROMs). The “vanilla” version of Android (Android Open Source Project, or AOSP) is normally present. Most of the others are large projects with their own customisations, that cater to a large number of devices - LineageOS (formerly CyanogenMod), Android Ice Cold Project (AICP), Resurrection Remix, etc.
The official websites for these projects will have a list of (and download links for) officially-supported devices. If your device isn’t one of them, there are often unofficial builds on sites such as xda-developers, as well as advice on how to install them - some manufacturers lock their devices up more than others.

@Krakkr901 You need to understand that it's not something software level it's something hardware level so sadly no luck on this.
