Hi guys. I'm currently using my phone where the LTE company is in band 4 my phone shows other bands 3, 17, etc. Is any way to install a stock ROM via Odin compatible with LTE band 4. I've read that the n910F has this band in its firmware. Does anybody tried installing in sm n9100. Will the dual sim feature affect if we flash with the n910f rom? thanks

No I haven't. I was thinking maybe just flash the modem. Idk if that could work I'm not expert about firmware and modem.

Hi guys, so, has anyone managed to enable band 4? I am thinking of flashing the UK N910F firmware but I am afraid of bricking my phone... has anyone had any success, either by flashing just the modem or the complete rom?

I have a D802 Hong Kong version. In the secret menu (3845#*802#) i have found this: LGD802AT-00-V10C-HKG-XX-NOV-30-2013
Now, I would like to use the 4g connection in my country (Italy, carrier TIM) but the 4g option is not avaible in "network mode". After a test with another G2 (italian version and same carrier), I can say that the connection don't switch automatically on 4g but keeps the H+ one. So i think is necessary a modification.
Solutions?
Is it necessary to flash an europe radio? or something else? I'd like to keep the stock rom Lg but is not a fundamental.
Baseband: M8974A - AAAANAZM - 1.0.190036
Kernel: 3.4.0
Build: JDQ39B
I have the g2 for two days. I know it very little. I do not have much knowledge about it. Some good soul can explain to me how to do?
I need your help!
Did you verify that the device has the correct radio bands for the lte on that carrier?

I don't know how to check! On the box of g2: gsm 850/900/1800/1900; wcdma 850/900/1900/2100; LTE 2100(B1)/1800(B3)/2600(B7)/900(B8)/800(B20).
My carrier is Tim but i don't kwow which band uses.
In secret menu/LTE Band section: avaible band 1,2,3,4,5,7,8,17,20,40. No one is selected.
Can i flash V10E firmware for Italy on V10C firmware for honk kong (actually on my device)?
Flashing different firmware wont help. Its either your apn is wrong or you didnt enable lte correctly. I checked and TIM uses 1800 (band 3) lte which your phone should work with.

maybe i should enable "band 3" in LTE setting in secret menu.
Hi,
I've a similar question and I hope someone could help me: I've a G2 phone using the D80210e-ESA-XX firmware.
In the product specifications, supported LTE frequency bands are 900/1800/2100/2600/850. I know that in Italy working frequency bands are 800/1800/2600. Now, my phone does not support 800 MHz: do you think is possible to upload a different firmware (IT or EUR ones) on my phone? With one of these firmware, does the device will work at 800 MHz?
Thank you so much.
I also had the D802 with Korean firmware!
Even though the phone itself supports LTE the Korean firmware doesn't!
I flashed the EU version and everything worked fine afterwards!!!

No no i am using the LTE in Greece!!!
But LTE is LOCKED in Korean firmware!!!
In older Korean Firmware you could activate LTE from secret menu but in newer version this option has been removed!
The only solution in my case was to flash a european (or in your case italian) Firmware and everything worked like it should

@popsi, @zacharias99 did you follow a specific procedure to upload the european firmware. I'm not so sure to perform it cause some month ago I've bricked an old Motorola (I don't remember the exact model) using simply a firmware of a different country. The result was a brick cause two firmware did not use the same way to allocate the memory...

My friend i don't really know where in this forum the instructions for flashing a new stock firmware are... (I am also new in this community)
And i flashed it with Greek instructions so my link won't help you and i don't want to post some link i haven't tested by myself...
Sorry i hope you can understand!
At moment i have no time, but if I would be you I would search in the G2 Section for instructions!
They must definitely be somewhere!

@zacharias99, I've checked that 4G can be enabled using the secret menu
1. Go to LTE-Only
2. Modem Settings
3. RAT Selection
4. Select GSM / WCDMA / LTE auto
as in the post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2494751
At the moment it doesn't seem to work for me, probably because my sim still has not been enabled for 4g.
Have you ever enabled this option (with the previous korean firmware, I mean)?
@zacharias99, @popsi: the new european firmware allows to navigate over the 800MHz frequency band for you?
Thank you

Hi,
the procedure using the secret menu definitively works on my D80210e-ESA-XX, but I need to re-select it after every reboot.
Does anybody know how to make it permanent or how to automate this selection on boot (maybe using Tasker or something similar)?

Hi,
I just purchased a Galaxy s5 sm-g9006v. This is the chinese unicon Samsung galaxy s5. It's unlocked.
I have a t-mobile sim. The phone works fine but the only problem is that it's only running 2g speeds! and i've been reading and i think it's a problem with the bands the phone is working on.
I've also been reading about changing the firm-ware modem but I need a little help.
My question :
Can I change the bands that my phone is using to t-mobile compatible bands to run hspa+ or lte or 4g ?
If so, is it as simple as flashing flashing t-mobile firmware from sammobile (sm-g900t) to my phone via odin?
And if I can fix it without having to flash the whole original firmware by just flashing the modem (which is 5mb), where can i get the modem for that firmware and how do I flash it alone ?
Thank you
i wanna ask if my note 4 N910H can use N910C stock touchwiz so i could use the 4g lte?

You can try flashing any custom N910C ROM and flash N910H modem afterwards. This should unlock some of LTE bands but its no gurantee that your carrier uses the same LTE bands. For example band 8 works fine but band 3 doesnt work. Try to find out which band your carrier uses or just tell me what your carrier is and ill check for you.

It actually has the same modem hardware. Samsung locked the bands though. Some users were able to unlock lte by flashing n910c rom. But it only unlocks few bands like 8 but 3 doesnt work properly.

I wouldn't do that as the N910H doesn't have a LTE/4G modem. So flashing the N910C firmware onto it may cause some hardware problems.

It is known that hardware in n910h is identical to n910c that is why you are able to flash C custom ROMs onto H variant.
I have H variant myself and i use custom rom made for n910c. I see LTE as an option but cant test it since i have no LTE in my country.
There used to be a thread here where people said that they were able to get some LTE bands working (such as band 8) so if their carrier uses band 8 or any other working band they can flash any rom in exynos development forum. (I assume they are already rooted)
Wow, that was too wordy :о

Yeah, I know most of the hardware is identical to the N910C. But I doubt that Samsung would have installed a 4G/LTE modem into the N910H seeing as they released it as a 3G device.

They did release it as a 3G only device to regions where there was no LTE. But hardware is the same. If only samsung disabled the bootloader lock and we could flash n910c firmware then all bands would work (in theory). So the only thing stopping us is bl lock

Currently have a stock N910W8 (Unlocked, Telstra branding), thinking it would be a direct unlocked replacement for my N910T (T-Mobile USA SIM). However the N910W8 can't get 4GLTE no matter how many adjustments I make to the APN
The model number printed in the battery slot is the same, N910T. I thought this would be an easy switch.
I tried flashing the stock N910T firmware via ODIN but was unsuccesful. Kept getting a secure check fail about error using stock N910T DOK2 BL/CP and N910T EPK firmware. Do I not have the right versions?
Is there any other way to do this through ODIN without installing a recovery and rooting? Is it even possible?

Without root its impossible.
You need a modified custom rom from n910t that is compatible with n910w8.
in order to do that you need root and twrp recovery installed.
I beleive LTE bands are different in both models even if you flash n910t rom not sure you will get LTE.
And for wifi calling you will require N910T modem and with N910W8 its not compatible.

WiFi calling I can deal without, LTE I cant.
Just throwing it out there, why can't one flash N910T firmware on an N910TW8? The hardware between an N910W8 model is literally no different, the model number on the sticker of the N910W8 is N910T. It's not like I'm expecting N910T firmware to run on a Verizon or Sprint model.
There has to be some method to essentially brick a N910W8, removing all trace of N910W8 firmware, CP/CSC/BL data, then install N910T firmware and have it wake up in N910T hardware. Anyone?

Were you able to flash the Stock T-Mobile ROM to the W8 or did you have to root? I'm in the US and even after playing with all the settings the max Down/Up speeds I saw were 2Mbps/0.1Mbps on the Telstra N910W8, compared to my previous 50Mbps/50Mbps on the Tmo N910T.
No you will have to root....easy just flast team win with odin....then download su.zip and flash with your new recovery......why wouldnt you want to root?.......hell i still have my n910w8 motherboard rooted with custem rom if you interested in an extra. ..hope i dont get in trouble for saying that
I prefer to keep it unrooted for the OTA updates. Don't get that with root, updating would just be one more thing to keep up with.
Yes but me personally, like to update when i want to not when they decided i have postponed the update long enough and the next thing you know ur phones updated and u didnt get to have a say in it...but thats just me....not to mention first thing after root is removing all the blot and stupid apps ill never use...back ups are a life saver...iv bricked a device 6 or 7 times in a 12 hour period. ...
1. What about flashing the N910T PIT file along with the PDA, CSC, BL, and CP files for the N910T? What will stop this from succeeding?
2. What about a JTAG service?
3. Is there a differencertain between what ODIN does and using an unbrick image from a N910t from the SD card after a hard brick?
Open to anything at this point, except of course, using a 910TW8 firmware on 910T hardware which is all this is.

hi:
I converted the phone by flashing a special ROM then I rooted the phone, then there was a special file which worked on converting the phone from V to F.
Could you describe your steps and provide download links?
Not really possible considering the 935F uses a entirely different chipset, the G935V uses Snapdragon 820 and the G935F uses a Exynos 8890, that would never work. Perhaps you are thinking of the G935U firmware?

do ya have the links where can download special ROM
G935V to G935U
I would like to know if this can be done on my Verizon Galaxy S7 Edge G935V (Android 8.0) except
I want to convert it to the G935U to be more compatible with AT&T.
I read somewhere the hardware is the same for all U.S. versions of the S7 Edge, regardless of Verizon, AT&T, etc.
I have the phone working on Straight Talk using their AT&T sim.
Changed it from CDMA to GSM and added the APN info for Straight Talk.
The phone works but is missing LTE band 17, the one used in my area.
It uses another tower but the signal is really weak. Band 17 is really popular
LTE and in my area and the phone is sort of crippled without it.
I have read the G935U firmware for AT&T solves that problem. I am
assuming the phone would be unlocked too after flashing.
The phone currently is unlocked on the GSM side.
I have downloaded ODIN, Samsung S7 Edge drivers, and the G935U for AT&T w/ Android 8.0
Any tips or pointers would be appreciated.
Thanks, Ken
