First off, you did a couple o things.... Might want to expand a little bit about what you did.
The more detail you give, the better chance someone can help.
So to begin with, what was the things that you did? And as I said details help, the more detailed you are the better.
Second, you connect it to a pc..... details. Can always assume that you are using a Windows machine, but assuming does very bad things in the long run.
What type of PC are you connecting it to?
What version of the software is that system running (if windows, Win98, WinXp, Win7, Win8, etc). Have you installed the ADB drivers if on windows?
Was your LG G2 recognized by ADB before all of this happened?
As for the boot up, do you see the LG logo?
Can you reboot your phone?
When you reboot your phone, do you see any error messages?
You also should include some info about the phone.
I believe your model number is: VS980
But you should include a little bit more about the phone if you know it such as, even say if it was stock as that gives a starting point:
Kernel
Rom
Modem (Verizon has 4 different ones)
All of that is the basics if you have any hope of finding someone who can help you.

Yehbits VS980 im using toshipa laptop running windows 8.1.
Okay i'll explain in all the details which i can remember:
first, i was running custom firmware (optimus g3 latest version) then i wanted to flaahbit again to add some stuff but i wasnt concentrated so i've selected a different model which is the international model
It flashed normally but when its done and reboots, it showed lg logo
Then fastboot mode It used to go to the download mode but didnt flash stock or anything. I did some commqnd on fastboot to add recovert.img stuff but after that it was reboting showing lg logo then shows small written stuff and goes to screen and showing 10000's partitions. So i did that ubunto method for tz aboot and those stuff and it didnt work but i did it 100% right. Then i did download more things and did the same way for them. Like boot and modem and stuff but i think the phone was disconnected and now it shows black screen i cant even recognize if its on or off and no matter what i press it doesnt show any logos or smthn but it connect to windows and shows usb device not recognized.

[Q] LG G2 D802 Soft-Brick: KDZ flash won't start

Hi,
This is my first post here, I hope I'm posting in the right section
I wanted to flash the G Pro 2 port (ROM) to my LG D802 (32GB) using cwm (had no problems with root and cwm).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2673143
I screwed it up and now booting is stuck at the LG logo, custom recovery is also gone. I can still enter download mode, so I tried to flash the stock ROM using R&D and the LG mobile support tool. When I plug the device in, the program starts to "connect" and after about 30 seconds it says new updates are available, then flashes to up to date immediately. It also gives me a code that is supposed to be the current firmware number, so I guess that the phone can connect to my PC just fine.
The problem is that when I want to flash the KDZ file the "select language" window doesn't pop up, instead it launches the LG mobile support (same as if I would launch the exe manually without R&D).
http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f177/guide-how-update-kdz-firmware-1629632/
Step 11 works fine, but instead of Step 12 it launches the LG mobile support tool and says it's up to date
Also R&D freezes if I press "start upgrade" or "read phone information" are these considered normal? Tried on my PC and a laptop I borrowed. Crashes on both systems (PC-Windows 8.1 (64bit), Laptop-Windows 7 (64bit)).
Is there anything that can be done or am I totally screwed? Any help would be appreciated.
PS: In download mode it says rooted and shows the LG logo when I try to charge the phone (as if it was trying to boot), is it still charging or I will have a brick when the battery goes dead?
Edit: Windows enabler is on, though I have no idea what does it actually do (all guide say it is needed). Same goes for "small server".
Try using it on a different computer with a different internet connection. I had the same problems as you described. It somehow refused to install the KDZ file on my D802 but finally worked on my laptop.

Thank You so much for answering. So You are saying it's picky when it comes to computers? Already tried two systems (Windows 8.1 and windows 7) but they were hooked up to the same router. My sister also has a laptop, after that Im out of laptops (lol). Will also try it with a different internet connection. Also could You please tell me what OS was running on your laptop? I read somewhere that XP compatibility mode can help. Doesn't make a difference for me, but it could mean that the program was written for XP and doesn't work on Windows 7/8 at all. At least I'm a bit relieved now that there's a little chance that it's just the program and not my phone

Yep, Windows XP did the job.
Have you earlier installed a KDZ file on your G2 and now doing it again but not working? or is this just the first time you're trying this?

It's my first time. Didn't really like all the bloatware, bad camera software and Jelly Bean with no update available (according to the phone). The LG Pro 2 ROM looked like it could fix all issues I had with the phone and... well, there's no bloatware on my phone now, that's for sure
Thanks again for your help, I will try with XP. Hopefully it will work this time
EDIT: Irrelevant I guess but was it service pack 2 or 3? I just can't get myself to trust any software after everything dear to me has betrayed me.
Solved
It works!!!
Had nothing to do with XP, but with LG updating their flashing tool. Now it only works with this little trick:

My phone works perfectly now Thx again for helping.

[Q] Hard Brick D800 - Please Help! At a loss

Any help is appreciated! First some background:
Flashed device to stock using KK 4.4 version d80020c following steps found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476. Successfully rooted using directions (and ioroot25) found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKuedInhdjU&noredirect=1.
Here's where I got into trouble...Downloaded TWRP 2.7 recovery img and flashed via Flashify. Since this step, my D800 has the exact same symptoms found on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142.
- No download mode (tried many times)
- No recovery (tried many times also)
- Secure booting error
- LG detected as qhsusb_bulk in device manager
- Device is recognized as 15 different drives, one of which contains a folder named image with 79 different files being .B0X files and Microsoft Access Add-in Data files
- Upon restarting, LG logo with secure booting error, then the screen goes black while your phone is still on
I've followed the steps in the thread that matches my G2's symptoms, run ubuntu 13.1 in VM, apply usb filters for my device which is then recognized as either LG Electonics Inc. QHUSB_BULK or Unknown Device 05C6:9006 when running in VM.
Upon running command ls /dev/sd* in VM Ubuntu Terminal, all that is returned is /dev/sda /dev/sda1 /dev/sda2 /dev/sda5 which are the partitions for Ubuntu, no LG.
I've tried to download and update the Qualcomm drivers, device manager tells me that the drivers were recognized, but cannot be installed and do not pass the hash check (Note: PC is running Windows 8.1).
I've spent over 12 hours on this trying to fix this problem, researched and searched everywhere. If I could get ubuntu to recognize the device, I would be able to continue on with the instructions on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142.
Links for windows 8 qualcomm drivers, suggestions on how to get the device recognized in ubuntu vm, experiences from others in similar situation, or any with experience working with LG to get a repair done if I'm SOL (as in eMMC is fried) would be so helpful right now.
Thank you all!
After flashing recovery did you flash a patched kernel to boot stock kk?
Sent from my LG-D800 using Tapatalk
I had the same, also with a lot of drives etc.
Screen is black but low backlighted?
Then try with pluged USB Cabel in Phone, hold Power button until screen is realy off, then hold the Power Up Button and plug Cabel into PC.
So I got download mode after I tryed many times
I had problems a few weeks ago getting mine to go into Download mode... turned out that the cable I was using was great for charging, but sucked for everything else. Once I switched to a different cable things worked fine and I was able to load D80010c on the device.
I was running D80020c this morning (with the D80010c boot.img to have a custom recovery) and decided to do an update. Since you can't load D80020k if you have the older bootloader I went all the way back to D80010c, updated to D80010o, D80010q, D80020c and finally D80020k. I was able to root that using IOroot and have restored everything back onto my phone.

Thanks so much for the responses! I've tried endlessly to get the device into download mode, and tried a new cable to no avail. Any other suggestions?
The URL you've linked to will help you solve your problem.
So once you power off your device, hold volume down and power till the lg logo shows, then release shortly and hold them again together till the white window with "factory reset appears", you should notice a text behind the white screen it's fine. So right now when you think it's gonna enter recovery mode the screen is gray(not black), now you connect your device to your ubuntu or whichever linux. You will notice the screen repeatelly blinking when linux is trying to automount the partitions. Figure out which device it is according to the messages it throws. (sdc, sdb, sdX)
This way you should proceed according to the instructions on the thread you linked.
d800 partitions are here
Still no luck

Thanks for your advice.
I got the white screen asking whether or not I want to perform a factory reset. If I choose No, the phone sends me right to the LG Logo with the error screen. If I choose Yes, it does the same thing. If I plug my phone into my computer while on the white screen asking if I want to perform a factory reset, the device isn't recognized and the PC doesn't see it as plugged in or mounted. I'm not sure what you mean by the timing of when I should try to plug in my device. Thanks again for all your help.

As soon as in the background of the white menu (factory reset) the secure boot appear plug it in. I'm not sure how much usb filter helps you(maybe it does) but try installing ubuntu over WUBI installer so your win remains. Or at least try ubuntu from usb stick. So you can know for sure if it's working.
Hi Sneaky E. I have the same issue you have. I'll be following your thread. If I figure anything out I'll let you know. I am also having an issue getting mine to charge now. Have you tried downgrading your TWRP?

you are not alone dude. i had the same issue since sunday and i have spent almost 46 hours already trying to restore my LG G2 F320S korean model.
i followed that instruction in linux, everything went well but then I ended up with a phone not going past the LG logo. the screen no longer dims like how it used to with the secure boot fail error. again, it stucked at the LG logo and thats it.
pressing the 3 buttons though for 5 seconds shows a white screen with 3 options and a bar code under.
but all of these options will just take me back to the LG logo.
I went to a phone technician today, and they said the doing a JTAG fix is the only way to resolve the problem because after trying to fix it with linux, it is no longer identified by my PC.
what are your solutions so far?
anyways before this issue came up, i tried to flash TWRP using flashify, it failed. then went back up. tried to update the OS via OTA then thats it.
i home someone could help us out.

if you manage to install the driver the rest should go easy.
It's weird, on some systems it wont install the driver properly(adb) but google nexus driver installs fine.

Ultra brick G2 vs980! T_T
Good night lords of XDA!
I come to you after exhausting all that I could find and try, hope you can enlighten me, you would save a new G2 that is about to become a gleaming brick:
Summary: I have in hand a Verizon LG G2 vs980, with the intention of using it in Spain. After a bad flash a ROM for a different model, you could not access recovery mode or download mode, only fastboot.
Thanks to this great tutorial, I could flash by ADB and fastboot files an official ROM for this G2, but after a correct process, the G2 restarted and only shows "Security error" before shutting ...
I still do not have access to recovery or download, and now not to fastboot. Only allows me to access the screen "Factory reset", but in doing nothing changes.
How could re-flash a recovery or something like that allows me relive my G2?
Thank you very much in advance. You are my salvation. XD
PS: I apologize for any clerical error or misused term. I do not usually write in English.

Removing USB connection while flashing

Hi all,
I have a serious problem with my G2 which I could not solve: I used the new LG Flash Tool 2014 with stock KDZ file, everything was going just fine till I received an error message that LG server is not available, I disconnected the USB cable by mistake from my G2 and afterward I saw that it was in the middle of flashing process (12% was completed). I turned it off and tried to reach download mode again and nothing!, I'm receiving the "LG" logo and nothing- the screen goes black (it is still on).
I tried also to connect my phone to the computer- I received a list of 13 "new" local disks "H" to "T", only "H" disk is available and it's showing "image" folder with list of files.
I cannot reach "download mode", nothing is working!
I hope this is not the end for my G2..
please help me
Thank you so much!
If you could receive all those hard disks then you could maybe fix it with linux/ubuntu if you have it. Search for guides to cOpy the neccesary stuff bacK like the bootloader. I can't really help you atm as i am too sleepy.

Thank you for your reply. I found this on the sticky threads: "[FIX] NO Recovery mode, No download mode, after OTA on rooted LG G2".
I installed ubuntu and followed the instructions. when I type the following: "gdisk -l /dev/sde" I receive an error message:
"GPT fdisk (gdisk) version 0.5.1

changes to this disk's partition table!
Problem opening /dev/sde for reading! Error is 13

My device is not rooted, is this the problem?
Please help me!!
Thanks
@NNCa It says you need to run the program as root on ubuntu.
Just use sudo in front of the commands.
You need to type once your password to use sudo, you can't see the password if you enter it for safety I guess but just click enter after you typed ykur password.

Hi,
I powered off my phone by pressing volume down + power for a while ("LG" logo blinked once and phone was fully powered off).
I pushed volume down + power till I saw the LG logo, released it, and pushed again- and finally I reached the Factory Hard Reset screen. I have pushed 3 times the power, and I have got "Factory reset processing..." and nothing is appeared, even when I'm pushing several times on power again.
I guess this is the end of my G2 :crying:
Thank you all for your support, this is an excellent forum!:good::good:

Nope it isn't the end try to install the recovery again or try to push the custom twrp recovery again to the right partition! Dont give up that fast when i hear your things then its still fixable! you already got the factory reset processing so try to Push the Recovery again and search for an guide about recovery maybe Then you would probably get your device fixed.
Just read my things about simplicity so think easy and you can fix it. AND STAY POSITIVE You will repair your phone today :good:

Thanks, but after connecting the device to linux/windows, it seems that it is not recongized, I do not see the partitions anymore even when typing "ls /dev/sd*" through linux terminal..

Did you already installed the LG drivers? and checked in device manager or there is like any change when you connect and disconnect your phone?

Yes, I checked it- no response during connecting/disconnecting the device..
Maybe I did a mistake when trying to push those image files.. I guess there is nothing I can do to fix my phone..
Do you have any other suggestions?
Can someone please help me. How can I get to the LG device- Is there another software I can use to flash files into this device?
Thanks

Sorry for late reaction but i needed to think of something. Did you tryed to use another cable? Did you tryed to do it on another pc? Did you tryed to maybe install LG PC suite and see if it gets recognized? If you have the PC Suite you may need to turn it off in the LG flashtool idk. Can you tell us more like which windows you have?

Hi, sorry to say but you have unfortunately completely hardbricked your device. It happened to me too however I was able to get it replaced under warranty at no extra cost.
What happened was that when your phone was still detected by linux, you had a chance to recover by flashing the correct partitions to gain access to download mode and from there, flash a KDZ to go back to complete stock. However, the files you used were probably incompatible with your variant which has now corrupted your bootloader sequence. I suggest you read this reply by fizzy177 as well as the rest of the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51522304&postcount=118
So right now, you cannot do anything as you have already found out, no computer will recognise that your phone is plugged in. Your phone fails to boot when you try enter the download mode and it just freezes on the splash screen which looks like this: http://www.lg-phones.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/image2.png
What's meant to happen is your phone should load past that initial splash screen into this http://www.androiddunya.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/LG-G2-DownloadMode.jpg which accepts KDZ flashing and warns the device has been rooted.
So it's a blessing that your phone cannot boot as LG cannot find out you have voided warranty and you will be able to get a replacement free of charge.
Issue was solved- device was fixed under warranty
Hi,
I just want to update you all that my device was fixed under warranty! (motherboard replacement)
Thank you all for help and great support, this is a great forum with great community :good::good:
Hello
From past 2 weeks i am wondering on internet for a solution . Hours and hours of surfing and articles but still
Hope some one solve this issue.
Okay. First i m using LG G2 F320 K update to lollipop . Non rooted. It was working fine . I can transfer files in MTP .
But about a month ago i get an update for my phone . And after some days i need to transfer some files to my phone , i wonder when i connected my phone to computer nothing happened . No notification on mobile for changing PTP MTP option . Also nothing happened in Computer device manager..
From that day i am unable to connect my phone with windows 10. It always charging mobile.
I uninstalled all drivers in device manager and installed from LG website. I updates windows N and NK MTP update from windows for windows 10.
I changed different data cables and different computers and different ports . All stuff i can do. Still no luck.
When ever i plug USB data cable it always put my Mobile on Charging . No notification on Mobile. Also i go in setting > storage> and there is no option in upper right corner to select USB PC connection .
I am in developer mode and debugging mode is on also. Also USB tethering option is Disabled .
Kindly some one help me regarding this.
LG G2 F320K updated to stock Koren lollipop 5.0.1 . Non root.( i updated lollipop in April 2015)
Issue i am facing is no notification for Charging/ MTP/PTP Usb Debugging on mobile notice bar when i attach my phone using USB cord with computer. Also in computer device manager nothing happen. Even i checked on windows 10 , 8.1, 8, 7 .
I remember it was working like charm 4 weeks before I can change MTP PTP or Charge only mode by selecting notification when i attach it to my laptop. I can transfer files can use LG PC suit .
Then i received an software update like 40 mb and i updated my mobile. That i remembered.
After that 2 weeks before i need to transfer some books from laptop to my mobile. When i plugged my device there no notification to select MTP mode . Also there is nothing happened in my windows 10. I looked in task manager. No yellow icon in computer task manager for driver thing.
Laptop is just silent and mobile is just on charging .
Then i go to setting in LG and looked for USB PC connection settings. I wonder there is nothing . Settings > storage > 3 dot in upper right corner.. it suppose to be there . But here is no 3 dot in storage. Then i looked into share and networks in android setting and i found that USB tethering. But its faded mean it is disabled and i am unable to use this feature also.
I tried on different computers different cables , original, but nothing. Always when i plug usb mobile went on charging and in all computers nothing happen in device manager.
USB debugging is on.. I factory reset device 2 times. but useless. Also i uninstall all drivers from my laptop and then reinstall drivers from LG website also i tried google drivers , ABD, different ports. Nothing nothing happen.
Also now if i try put mobile on download mode by turning device off and then push + vol button and then put cord in mobile . No download mode also it went on charging. Well charging from laptop or from charger is okay.
Hope i explain all.

Soft Bricked LG G Pad 7.0 (v410) Boots to TWRP

I was a complete idiot and accidentally deleted the internal storage on my G Pad 7.0 v410. I can still boot into TWRP. I've tried flashing stock and Skinny ROM. They are successful according to TWRP, but I cannot boot into anything besides TWRP.
All attempts to sideload in ADB have failed. All attempts to factory reset or wipe dalvik multiple times worked, but did not help. I am currently at a loss for what to do next.
Fixed finally!!!
this took me hours of searching plase hit thanks
1. if you dont have adb setup adb you can get a minimal adb here
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B1S0LCuXCnnmSWh6NGJmSE1BUWc/edit
install it, navigate to program files (Or if your on a 64bit system program files(x86)
Right click and click "Open command window here"
plug in your device if it isnt already pluged in, and type the following commands pressing ENTER after each line
DO NOT COPY PASTE THE WHOLE THING EACH LINE MUST BE PRESSED ENTERED separately
adb shell
dd if=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/fota of=/sdcard/fota-backup.img
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/fota
exit
adb reboot
Your phone should boot into your rom now

Boot : Error Certification Verify
Hi. I am new to this thread although i had used this thread many times with issues i have had. There is this one issue im having that i can't seem to figure out which im usually good at doing by following forums or threads.
A couple weeks ago i had rooted my LG G Pad 7.0 V410 LTE tablet from AT&T. I had TWRP downloaded into it and i had flashed Candy5 it worked perfectly i just didn't like how it looked so i tryed to flash it back to original stock OS. But now when i boot my tablet up it goes to the LG screen and at the top left it says Boot : Error Certification Error. This has me dumbfounded on what i should do. when i connect the tablet to the computer nothing pops up no tablet connects to the computer. I tryed downloading the drivers and everything but nothing seemed to work. I need help with this issue please!!
I didn't know where else to post this issue due to being new!!!
This worked for me, THANK YOU, however, I thought I would try to flash the LG Lollipop update to the device, it downloads, but when I go to install it, it reboots straight back into TWRP. How can I replace TWRP with the factory recovery and unroot the damn thing??

As a general rule, when you can't access recovery, or you need to go back to stock etc etc you have to go into DOWNLOAD MODE and use an official or unofficial tool to go back to stock. It will remove twrp root etc etc but at least you'll have a working device and you can start rooting again.
This is a guide for the 8.3 but it should work on yours.
To put your device in download mode turn it off, press and keep pressing vol+, then connect the cable. If the official tool isn't working, you can use lgflashtool 2014 and follow this guide (the only difference should be that the official tool download the factory image from the internet while the unofficial one let you use an already downloaded one. If you use the unofficial version, be sure to download the CORRECT firmware for your tablet. I don't know if at&t require a special version, look it up.
Having read this thread and trying everything here plus other things, I still have a bricked LG V410.
I'm using Linux. Doing lsusb shows the device, but thats about as far as it goes.
from lsusb: Bus 001 Device 012: ID 1004:61f1 LG Electronics, Inc.
from adb devices: List of devices attached
from mtp-detect: libmtp version: 1.1.8
Listing raw device(s)
Device 0 (VID=1004 and PID=61f1) is a LG Electronics Inc. Android phone (ID1).
Found 1 device(s):
LG Electronics Inc.: Android phone (ID1) (1004:61f1) @ bus 1, dev 12
Attempting to connect device(s)
PTP_ERROR_IO: failed to open session, trying again after resetting USB interface
LIBMTP libusb: Attempt to reset device
LIBMTP PANIC: failed to open session on second attempt
Unable to open raw device 0
OK.
So, it appears as though Linux can see the device, but that's about it. Interestingly, if I put the device into Download mode (holding down the Up Vol while plugging in the USB cable), Linux will not see the device.
I can also put it into Factory Reset mode using the combination of keys, but that just get it stuck at Factory Resetting on the screen. I've even left it like that overnight and it's still sitting like that the next day.
I'm open to any ideas you folks may have.
I have to backtrack a tad. Putting the device in Download mode, Linux DOES see the device in lsusb.
Bus 001 Device 013: ID 1004:633e LG Electronics, Inc.
and MTP-detect:
libmtp version: 1.1.8
Listing raw device(s)

Nothing showing in adb-detect.
dmesg shows:

Thank you so much!! Worked like a charm!

I'm not trying to be a pain but when you use all lowercase *and* no punctuation it makes it really hard to read.
