I got few questions
-Where can i find a volue hack for the nexus? not loud enough
-What is the best GROUP texting application? i tried grouptext but bigass text to more than 20 contact it bugs. and i also would like to create my contact group for texting
-anyway to make youtube believe im a real computer? video are optimisez for mobile and it sux (try for exemple lollipop lil wayne and ull find ****ty video on nexus IF video, and not static image with sound, and great videoclip on a computeur)
-whats the best GPS software?

1) did you root yet? the volume hack is part of most new kernels.

- custom ROMs now support 360 degress rotation, but the inbuilt video/youtube app rotates only one way so far.
- For group SMS, try one of the following market apps
1. Handcent [Quote: "Group Send SMS & MMS, easy people & group select , Sync with your phone contact database"]
2. ChompSMS [Quote: "Quick-Pick Contacts & Groups. Composing a new message and want to quickly choose multiple contacts or in fact an entire group? It’s easy with chompSMS!"]

If you go to Start-> Contacts to open the native WinMo contacts manager, and then click New, you will be given the option to create a "Messaging Group." Here, you can add multiple people to a group and save it. These groups only appear in the native contacts manager, but you send text messages to them all at once.

I was just plain curious when a well known smartphone manufacturer started using the front camera for more than skype n photos. I wondered that my ICS tab has a front camera, a feature called face unlock which uses face features to unlock the device. So what if this camera and some code can be used to add features to the front camera n make it useful. I was also wondering can this data be utilized in other applications, this will open up then environment. Suppore a scroll,its done through touch n drag, our application can send this data to the foreground app i.e a document reader or a browser. The application can spoof it self as an input device in androids input menu. Thus it can do various things by sending appropriate data to apps. Im currently testing on windows using a webcam n some code to track eyeball n do actions through it. If im succesful enough Ill start coding an android app. But a healthy discussion and your views would be appreciated. So I hope ill see some replies. Tkcre.

Allo for Android was leaked yesterday in APK form, as an internal early build release. When you launched the app on a compatible device, it shows a screen to authenticate via text, but the servers aren't actually sending out verification codes so you end up stuck in a loop.
I decompiled the app, and removed the method where the "Welcome" activity is launched, allowing the app to at least show the conversation screen, using Xposed. This could probably be achieved using Smali edits, but I haven't tried that.
I then tried to get the app to actually allow me to add users, but of course, as it was trying to connect via an account that was not authorised, that wouldn't work. So I took a different approach, and edited the database used by the app using Root Explorer + SQLite Editor to add dummy users, conversations and messages that way. I'll go into what I've worked out about the database in a later post, so you can trick your friends or something.
After that, I had pretty much full access to the offline features of the app (ie. those that didn't need a constant connection, messages still would not send), and could look around the app and its UI:
- Normal (1 to 1) conversations with other users
- Group conversations
- Incognito conversations
Stickers were working earlier on, but have since stopped loading. I can say however, that the default, included, stickers were not the only stickers available, as you could download two more packs. That was working around midday BST today but has since stopped, so either Google has blocked me or capped it entirely.
Anyway, below is some videos of the aforementioned features, as well as a couple of others.

There's some things I didn't mention:
The app appears to link your number to your account, which may mean tablets work too as long as you have a phone
You can send voice messages (I didn't cover this in the video because I assumed it was a voice input rather than a voice message)
You can send videos
Tapping a 1 to 1 conversation's image on the list opens information about the user, allowing you to call and send a message
Sharing images from other apps works the same as other messaging clients

You'll need Xposed and Titanium Backup (free is fine) to do this:
Download the Xposed Module and Titanium Backup file from GitHub here
Install the Xposed module, activate it and reboot
Open the TiBkp file using Titanium Backup, and restore app and data
Run Allo (it's been renamed from Messaging to Allo now)
Look around, but remember nothing actually works
Next job is to see if I can get onto Duo in the same way, although that will allow even less than Allo.

Doesn't work on my s4 running cm13, when restoring with titanium, it says the app was not installed
"Unfortunately Allo Allo has stopped" on my Galaxy S6 with Xposed and the module activated

Tonight's update, same as Reddit:
What I've found out today:
- SMS and Hangouts, although hinted at in the code, cannot be enabled using Xposed at this time.
- I worked out how to make messages appear in the conversations using the database, YouTube video here
- Messages support text, images (GIF or normal), videos, stickers and YouTube links, with previews. YouTube links open in the app, not inline
- There appears to be a read receipt for messages, as well as sent ticks.
- As expected (it being an internal release), there's a lot of debug code in (but disabled by default, it's not a debug release) the app. AlloAllo enables it (see the video)

hey guys i need a way to download my profile picture out of google allo. I've deleted the original one and i cant seem to find an option to download it officially. Perhaps there's a location in the data partition where it's stored? Any ideas?

Been wrestling with some really infuriating problems with this phone since i bought it 4 months ago.
Default apps are ignored when clicking links via Chrome or Google search - if I select Waze as open by default for maps, and select DO NOT OPEN for Google maps, it will always open Google maps when I click a map or directions. If I select do not open for YouTube and either always open or always ask for newpipe or YouTube vanced, it will always open YouTube links in YouTube. It just completely ignores the settings
Opening via Firefox will work sort of, but for some reason FF have added a little 'open in app' button step so you have to load the web page for YouTube then select the android button for it to bring up the select app dialog, so it's rubbish and frankly a deal breaker. Also this doesn't work for directions, neither Maps or Waze are options for directions, bizarrely.
Another thing thats frustrating is that it forgets notification settings. If I set a notification as unimportant, like a battery usage alert or WhatsApp web is open, it will appear again an hour later.
Does anyone else get these issues? You could argue the first one is a chrome/google issue, but i have never had this problem on other androids. My OnePlus works fine for example
If anyone has a solution to these, I would be grateful for hear it. At the moment I am done with Color OS weirdness and considering a custom rom (if one exists)
Edit: Actually I can't get it to open any app via chrome. Everything opens in chrome. Tried resetting everything but it won't work.
i need help with it i need to customize it,
first i want it to to luch a browser in especific url and in full screen after android boots even when looses power and comes back on i want to to show that specific page, also if is posible to customize the system to show my own logo when is booting. but most important thing is to have it launch a browser in automaticly after it boots on its own and go into full screen even if the browser gets refresh the reason im seying refesh is because i have an autoreflesh javascript on the website that i want to display from a web server, can some one help me out. i currently found that TV BRO Browser allows me to stay in full screen, even if it refreshes that awesome, but i want to be able to have the browser to download the web content, so even when the box looses internet still displays the content. please help me out

why all this complication?
it's way easier to develop an app that auto-starts on bootup, which opens your website in full screen and auto refresh every xx days, hours, minutes or even seconds.
how do you think most apps example like costco, ISPs, Banking apps work? 99% of them are apps that open their website which is optimized for mobile devices, so you can only navigate through that specific site.
I'm sure there are some android app developers here in xda that can do this for you in no time
