Deleted Calendar, Not Working - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

I have a S4 Active running 4.4 and I recently got trigger happy and deleted my calendar with TI backup (I used google calendar and got tired of duplicate notifications). Soon after I realized that I couldn't open my google calendar and neither it or my exchange calendar would sync. I restored "calendar storage" and "calendar widget" but I still can't get my calendar app to open or sync. I think there was an actual "calendar" that I deleted but it doesn't show as deleted in TI backup so I don't know if this missing file is what is causing all of the problems. I am new at this so I could really use some help in getting this back up and running. Thanks

Google caqlendar syncing problems

I have a strange problem with syncing my google calendar on my G1. I have 3 calendars (main calendar, weather and holidays). 2 of them are syncing fine but my main calendar starts to sync but never stops. Besides this is draining my battery, the events from my main calendar don't appear in my calendar app.
This is what I tried:
delete data of calendar and calendar storage in application manager
check if my main calendar is checked in my calendars in the calendar app
auto sync
sync manually
deleted and readded calendar in calendar app
wipe
I have seen some threads, where people reported that contacts don'T sync or even calendar doesn't but no solutions. Any help?
anyway...
I flashed back to cyanogens 3.9.2 and all goes smooth. I only wonder, why all the others with 3.9.5 don't have this issue. But I will post that in the other thread.
Mods, if you want to close this thread... you can go ahead.
Thanks.

[Q] epic Calander Problems

Ok i searched thru the search and havent found my answer. I set up gmail calander and inside it set up some events to follow, like Us Holidays and sport teams calanders. It set up nicely on my laptop, but when i sync on my phone, they show up in the list of connected calanders but are now in the actual calander. Am i doing something wrong?, like looking at the samsung calander and not the Gmail calander. I am on Froyo Dk28 rooted aswell. HELP!!

I didn't fully catch your question, but If I understand correctly:
have you tried going to the regular calendar?: open app drawer, select Calendar. Then Menu, Settings, Calendars
Here you can check or uncheck the calendars you want to show; the list should include all of your calendars, including "other" calendars you added through GCal. After you do that, hit the back button, go to Calendar Sync and make sure the calendar is checked to sync (if you want that). I'm pretty sure most of the other 3rd party calendar apps either use the same method or pull from these settings.
If it's not showing up in the list, uncheck the Calendar Sync from your google account. Then goto Settings->Applications and clear application data for "Calendar Storage" (not "Calendar"). Then recheck the calendar Sync to resync, that should work.
that didnt work, anyone else got any ideas?? Please very annoying not having the holidays on the phone

that fix helped me with my calendar sync issue after upgrading to froyo eb13, thanks!
Had same issue. Clearing Calenar and Sync storage fixed it right up for me. Didn't even need to uncheck the calendars.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
same issue here... clearing the cache actually made me lose some of the calendars I had synced and now can't get them back...
Haven't been able to get a calender my wife has shared with me since upgrading at all.
Before I upgraded, I forgot to save the phone calendar since it doesn't sync to google. I used MyBackup Root before I upgraded to save the all calendars. So, I restored the calendar in MyBackup Root and it took all my events from all the calendars it backed up and smushed them into the main calendar. I didn't catch it before it synced to google and it made a mess. I exported the calendar to try to fix it and deleted the calendar to find that the export is corrupted...DOH!!!
Anyone else have a way to solve this issue with MyBackup and putting all calendars into one?

Took me a minute to find the setting, on my Epic 2.2.1 its Settings > Applications > Manage > All > Calendar Storage
WOW. Clearing the cache. I sort of felt it was the cache that was corrupt, but did not know the 'ALL' tab on Apps existed!!
THANKS A TON!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was missing some events/appointments in EB13 calendar. Unchecking sync, then clearing data in "calendar storage" then rechecking sync did the trick! Thank you!!

[Q] Aggrevating calendar issues...

I'm hoping someone here can help me out. I am having some sync issues with Google Calendar and the native Epic 4g calendar app. I have searched yahoo, google, and the forums here and no one is having an issue exactly like mine and I've tried the fixes recomended for ones that are somewhat similar to my issue. I am on a rooted system. I am running EI22 that has been rooted and deodexed with the modifications listed in the following link.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1339579
In google calendar on the pc all of my calendars are selected to be shown and synced. Everything is showing up fine on the computer version. My issue on the phone is that one of the calendars is not even being recognized by the calendar app. The calendars that did show up synced fine and everything showed up. I went in to manage apps and cleared the data from the calendar app and re synced the data. After that the same calendars showed up in the sync list and all of them were selected but one of the calendars didn't show its items on the calendar. I hate to bother you all with this issue but I just flat out couldn't figure it out myself. Thanks in advance for all of your help.

[Solved] CM10 Phone Calendar disappeared??

I updated from a rooted Defy+ to Quark's CM10-20130307 ROM last week, and just today while trying to add an event to my Calendar I noticed that the phone's calendar option is no longer there! I can add an event, but only if I use my Gmail account Calendar (something I'd really want to avoid).
Is this normal, though? Maybe I lost the phone's Calendar from the moment I changed ROM (if not earlier?). Which .apk should be installed in my phone to handle the phone's calendar? I have Calendar (Calendar.apk, v4.1.2-eng.quarx.20130307.203806), and Calendar Storage (CalendarProvider.apk, v4.1.2-eng.quarx.20130307.203806) installed, it seems these should be sufficient.
The lack of phone's calendar is apparent both in the shipped Calendar and the Calendar application I use (aCalendar). I've found no threads with this same problem....
EDIT:
It turns out that by default Android does NOT come with any local calendars, and the one I had in my Defy+ was a Motorola feature. In order to get a local calendar in my custom ROM I had to install Calendar Manager.

Missing Google Calendar Sync

Installed new ROM tinkered around with it a bit by deleting useless crap (useless samsung stuff which included calendar). Possibly deleted the calendar sync agent or whatever it's called. Now my google calendar is blank and the account has no calendar sync option/checkbox. When in calendar settings the calendars to display option only shows Loading and no progress. Tried restoring the backups of calendar and all the samsung stuff I deleted = nothing. Deleted and reinstalled it off the Play Store still nothing. Wanted to recover my ROM backup but that decided to delete itself off my card (different story)
So how do I restore my calendar to working condition??? Read something about Calendar Storage and Calendar Sync Agent. Could that be the issue?

You can flash your current Rom again, maybe it will help. If not, it's an issue caused by the calender app i guess
