Am having this issue from quite a day.I installed lollipop offical firmware provided by blackcat..
i wanted to revert back to kitkat so i flashed stock firmware from sammobile everything is working great except for imei baseband issue please help me.I already tried flashing modems.
Are u have a Backup from your imei and efs?

No solutions yet for those who wish to revert to kitkat.
But a workaround is to use the Lollipop official leaked modem with any kitkat rom.

Hello i updated my s4 using odin and flashed custom rom.
after that i flashed offical Lollipop for s4
I cant get network working
i have an IMEI. Its not 0049 but it is still wrong.
It does not match what is written on the box.

Hi guys, i am doing this for a friend, hes on offial 5.0.1 LP accidentally updated it and he doesnt like it.
we need to root it and then downgrade Bootloader and Modem then flash a Stock based ROM yes !?
i have fetched latest KK modem/BL from a thread on xda , one with WiFi fix supposedly.. and the latest KK BL as well.
but i cant find a Flashable Stock KitKat Rom anywhere.. can someone help me with this please !?
and maybe link me to the stock Modem/BL as well.. cause i dont wanna brick his phone.
for now i have only Rooted it with AutoRoot.
You don't need to root it in order to be able to downgrade. You might even trip Knox in the process, so you're on the safer side if you don't do that. But as you have probably already done that, you could back EFS up using EFS Professional or terminal, just in case it gets corrupted during flashing.
I'm not completely sure about the downgrade process and what it takes not to brick your I9505, but you can find stock KitKat firmwares (flashable in Odin) here and here. There are some stock KitKat firmwares here as well, but some of them are offline. You can find some firmwares at SamMobile too, but you will probably need to pay to download from there.

can you help please. I have just downgraded from Lollipop to Kit Kat via Odin.
All appeared well except that it no longer works as an actual phone!! The Imei is now showing a NULL and Baseband appears as UNKNOWN.

You need to flash a Lollipop modem. Or you could reflash the Lollipop firmware.
I wouldn't flash the link above you. He has no description at all of the file.

Just as OP, I downgraded to kitkat, in my case because of the terrible battery life S4 gets in lollipop. I have spend days trying to fix this, I have tried all kinds of wipes and ROMs, until I got a decent lollipop ROM and flashed just the modem image, and the problem was fixed!
I thought I had wiped my IMEI, because of the IMEI null and Baseband UNKNOWN issue, but as soon as I flashed the corresponding modem, I "got it back". I do recomend you however, to backup your EFS partition, because apparently you *can* wipe your IMEI when you flash ROMs.

I think that yes. I flashed on my G900F Miui based in KK and it worked on LP firmware
Lollipop Update Blocked downgrading.
It's not going to work. I think that using a nandroid backup made by somebody else should work.

I just updated my N9005 to lollipop 5.0 as it was released officially to Srilanka.
Im a newbie so i just updated using ODIN. Now the battery is draining so i want to go back to kitkat. When i downgrade i have no baseband and imei number.
I reflashed with lollipop's modem file.I got the Imei back but the camera recording fails.Is there a way to downgrade properly or a fix..
BTW I DIDNT BACKUP EFS OR ANYTHING BASICALLY NO BACKUPS OF ANY SORT

No do it and nothing will happen,,,you will note lose any imei or any thing .. go for it ..
