Hello Smart People!
I have a new white LG G2 (Sprint) but using Ting and would love to instal Cloudy G3 rom on it (because it looks pretty), but the more YT videos I'm watching the more I am confused.
In the past I only flashed two devices (2 HP Touchpads --> Cynegamod [or w/e it's called] android) so I have a basic understanding what some stuff is.
Basically what I have to do is:
1) Root the device (not sure how yet, but that should be pretty easy - right);
2) Download the Cloudy rom and put it on my phone -- this is where I am confused - there are two files : one is called KK_BasebandLS980.zip (27MB) and the other I found is CloudyG3_2.1.zip (1.26GB) - which one do I need?
3) install boot manager(?) -- reboot -- backup -- and then install Cloudy
4) Is that it?
Could someone be so nice and provide a step-by-step idiot's guide for me please?

P.S. Will this work with Ting - because they don't allow G3s yet and I don't want them to think my G2 is G3?

for the little that i have read the first is the baseband and the second one the rom so you need both the first 1 is for the calling and messaging i think (it has to do something with that hehe) and the second one the g3 cloudy rom because if you install the rom with out the kikat baseband i think phone calls and sms wont work an di guess the first one will be install first then the rom (im heading over to installin that im on that rigth now)

You'll never get a valid advise or help untill you post the vital data of the phone.So always post DOC Chip version of the phone and try to explain as simple as possible what you did and what exactly is the problem.
No one can help you like this.
Sorry for double posting but the brick came out after the 'upgrading problem' anyway how can i get the DOC chip version?

ok, have you ever noted the IPL/SPL version of the phone,it always displays at the first splash screen written in Red usually,do you exactly remember all those numbers ? were they something like 1.xx or 2.xx or 2.xx.0001 ?
k-jam phones come as both G3 and G4.
sure a G3 , i dont remember the precise numbers,but first time i flashed (months ago) i remember that i choose rom for G3,sure 100% it is/was a G3
Ok,download official k-jam rom 'K-JAM_WWE_216901_2169101_020710_ship.zip' from the following link and flash to recover back to its default status,then download WST_4.2.2 tool and run.Post the report generated by the WST tool here.

I am having issues with my HD - I originally got this from Telstra and every time I try and ROM it - the phone functionality won't switch on - it seems to only have the wireless working - the ROM itself does work and it doesn't matter what ROM I use.
I was hoping someone might be able to help me here, Thanks in advanced

your phone does not have the right SPL for the ROM. read the HD Flashing Guide and prep your phone for ROM flashing. once the first 3 lines of the bootloader (or the red section) looks like the picture of this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3638336#post3638336Bootloader you're ready to flash. goog luck!
so i just got this tmobile mytouch3g and i would like to know how to make sure to do the right thing here i really dont want to mess up so can some one help me on where to go so i know what im doing..........

edit: If you have 1.5 (Cake) it may be easier. I would recommend updating to 1.6 (Donut) I could be mistaken. You may have an easier time with 1.5
how do i fine out if i have a cake and whats good about it?
You can see that if you click (from the homescreen) MENU > SETTINGS > ABOUT PHONE. It would be under the Firmware version.

i got an optimus 7 with a demo rom, i've read on the Mozart section that the problem was solved by flashing another rom, is there anyone who can help me flash a full operating rom on this device pls??

First of...How did you get your hands on one. Secondly, why are you still keeping it? Thirdly, I have yet to get bootloader access on my Optimus 7 like you can with the HTC phones, and there are no dumps for the LG rom yet either.
I got one for free from a vendor who cant put it in the shop-window cuz too many criminals in that district.
I just have to "unlock" it and return to the vendor so he can use it like a normal phone.

I flashed mine yesterday (from Vodafone to TIM) and now works perfectly.... the procedure on that page have kind of lack of explanations, if you need any help I can explain you better the procedure, I am trying to post a more detailed one there but it's impossible for me because I have less that 10 posts... don't believe the guy that say he fried the phone, maybe he just made something wrong
