Messed up my platform.xml anyway to restore it to original as I cant seem to find my back up on my extsdcard. Hoping someone could give a copy of their original platform.xml so I can see where I went wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

No, Sir. As I'm using G900I. But G900I and G900F are identical. I can even flash G900F firmware on my G900I so I guess there would be no prob for you, Sir!
Updated: I just looked into the file. I can tell there's no difference between G900F & G900I, You're worry-free to use it, Sir!

Yes, you can. It's just a cross configuration file for S5 variants
can you help me.
i edited it and now i cant do anything on my phone.
i cant see files in internal SD or external even on my phone or computer.
all apps keep crashing aswell.
I also screwed up platform.xml
I also screwed up this file - the backup is in an unreadable location
The original copy in Dropbox above is no longer there - if anyone has an original unmodified version of this file I'd sure appreciate it!
Thanks
Unmodified, stock from a T-Mobile s5: https://www.dropbox.com/s/soghluetv6h70ps/platform.xml?dl=0
Many thanks for that.
Unfortunately though it didn't work I still get everything crashing on boot, no internet access etc.
Going to have to reflash I think.
What I did was just to factory reset after putting the copy of the stock file to the permissions folder, and everything's went back to normal.
i have the same problem
I messed up my platform.xml
Can someone tell me how to fix it i dont have a pc or root(i deleted it by stupidity thought that will fix the problem) and my recovery its neither cwm or twrp is android 3ae i think
Help me please A.S.A.P

Have you tried sammobile? If you want official firmware better check that site. Instructions are there too. Better find and match the proper Note 3 variant with what you have to what you are going to flash.

You're on 4.3 bootloader right, just so we clear. Try going to Android Dev thread and check Temasek CM11 build. His rom works on any bootloader, and since you're looking for an AOSP alternative.

OK, all started about a month ago when i decided to buy my current Note 4 N910C. I had a Note 2 N7100 on Cricket Wireless and everything was working just fine, when i got my Note 4 it came with Uzbekistan Android 4.4.4 N910COXE1ANK5, after setting up my new phone i went ahead and rooted it , everything was perfect while i was on Kitkat ANK5 rom. Then i flashed the latest 5.0.1 Lollipop rom which is B0C5, and on the bottom of the screen a REFRESHING SIM DATA popup stated to appear, every 10 minutes, or anywhere where the phone had poor or no signal.
After almost a month searching and asking i never got a solid answer but i really appreciate all kind of people who tried to help me, it was really frustrating reading all over the internet about this annoying REFRESHING SIM DATA message. After trying to flash latest firmwares thru Odin, changing APNs, setting network mode manually, after buying a new SIM, nothing really helped , i thought i had a faulty device. Finally i asked alot of times if can even flash a KitKat Modem into Lollipop Rom, but like before never got a solid answer, that it will brick my device, that it cant be done, so i didnt want to try cuz i have no warranty on this expensive phone.
After asking again to my friend and awesome developer @not-i i got a solid answer that i can really flash KitKat modem in my Lollipop rom, here's the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...-nj4-4-4-4-t2923953/post56398444#post56398444
The FIX
So finally i flashed the old Kitkat ANK5 Modem into my Lollipop B0C5 5.0.1 rom, and TA DAAAAAA no more annoying REFRESHING SIM DATA, my speeds went up, i got a much better signal now, i can use LTE,
CONCLUSION
There are still thousands of people of a 100s forum asking and looking for a way to fix this annoying message and i really hope this thread can help them. Cheers:fingers-crossed:

Yes sir....basically any phone having weak signal problems...or the annoying REFRESHING SIM DATA the fix is flashing an older modem or a modem that give you the best results...as for me Lollipop modems didnt fix anything...in the other hand after flashing Kitkat modem using Lollipop rom my signal is much stronger...hope it goes well...just read instructions before flashing...always make a backup first...god bless...cheers:fingers-crossed:

no, 900w8 but from my knowledge of these phones, they are basically the same. The file I gave you was made by @filichi and was for the 900w8 and the 900t. I still need to use it on some rom's but not as much as i did months ago.
Aight cool well maybe I was using the old kit kat file.. Lemme download a tw ROM and give it a go! Thanks for the speedy reply @scotteb

What model are you using?
Are you using a custom rom or stock rom?
Did you do anything different before this happened?
You've got to give us more to work with or nobody is going to be able to help
Looks like you try to flash a modem of 910C on your phone.
Is it the correct modem?
Also what is the TWRP version - this could cause the problem.
