hello my phone got signals bars up on screen but when I try to connect on my carrier / other carrier it write cannot connect try later and when I try to call it show You dint register in carrier my sim is ok I tried other sim but no luck
PS. my IMEI is fine no null numbers etc also I tried Odin restore back to stock full but nothink, the problem show off when my phone dropped by my motorbike after 1 week around

hi guys im new to htc,and have a strange problem,i have a 3 contract with a n95 8gb with unlimited internet the works,and my wife bought me this htc touch hd for xmas, its unlocked so i slapped my 3 sim in it only i cant get any signal .i can connect to the net via my sim but i cant make calls or send txts.when i put the sim in it automatically connected to h3g uk but theres no signal bars when i touch the icon it says no service,and when i go into settings and either automatically or manually select network a network error box appears saying cannot register on selected network.choosse another network,or disconnect your data and try again.ive tryed this to no avail and its thrashing my head.its possibly the best phone ive ever had and i cant use it.can somone please help
dont think you can use normal gsm functions on this phone with a three sim as three sims are different to normal USIMS.
i dont know the technicalities but i do know that three sims differ from other network's sims.
hi my mate purchased a gs4 from is mate ,he asked me to root it and see if it is sim unlocked,i can put different sims in .EE,giffgaff,[o2 ] and vodafone,they do not bring a screen saying wrong sim or anything but i can go on to network search find the carrier ,but when i try to connect it states cannot connect to network,i have tried a IMIE search and the phone is not barred or blocked or anything sinister like that , i can get a signal with t mobile but i thought my EE sim would work in it strange any help please would be appreciated cheers
anyone? i tried my EE sim but it does not dial out ,could it be that it is blocked ? i think i will just hand it back to him

i got the exact same prob with a i9505 gs4 on JB then i updated it to stock rom kitkat 4.4.2 and its still the same with a o2 sim i can see the data arrows and the signal bars but other sims just signal bars but never connects to any network, if it was blocked it would ask for an unblocking code? would it not? did u get anywhere with this problem? my imei is ok and so is the serial no, and i checked and its not black listed and the phone works ok with wifi

I cannot successfully make calls. I can receive calls and do pretty much everything else. Browse internet, sending texts etc.
As soon as i dial a number it takes a while to connect and then it ends the calls.
I am on Three. uk
I have tried with wifes Sim and the phone also fails with her sim but my sim works fine in her phone. so can rule out problem with the sim.
I have tried changing caller id to network mode as read that fixed Galaxy s II devices but that has not worked.
I have tried messing about with the different types of network mode. Only GSM mode works.
I am getting a full 4 bar signal.
I am on stock firmware SM-n9005
baseband n9005xxudmj7
build number jss15j.n9005xxudmk2
Anyone got any idea why this is happening or how i can fix it without sending phone off for repair ?? I have read elsewhere that the December update might have caused an issue like this ?

Try factory reset with your wife’s sim inside, if still same problem I think service centre is only option.
by any chance, have you set your network mode to 4G only? cause afaik, the phone wont receive call if youre on LTE 4G only mode in network. once i too cant make a call when i set my network mode to LTE only, then i choose LTE/GSM/WCDMA auto, i can receive and make call again

I have tried reset and this does not work.
its definitely not on 4g . I have tried all the network modes and the only one that works is GSM... I dont want to leave it on GSM though as i want to be able to connect to internet whilst out and about.
Seems a bit ridiculous though that i cannot make a call on a phone. Will be off the the three shop tommorow.
hello i bought one galaxy note 3 (my second one)
i'm having one issue,the first one i bought and i ended up selling had a Bad esn but let me to conect to other networks
such as telcel on mexico,movistar,iusacell and other ones
i bought another one but i don't know why i can't use it on other networks
i tried with the service mode codes but i can't enter to something like the UMTS option on the s4 to turn off the perso sha 256
also i tried installing again the firmware with odin and it continues without signal
when it starts it shows some "sim icon" notification on the status bar and says "phone activation" the sim card is from an unknow source
it 's didn't surprise since i know the verizon phones come GSM unlocked.
maybe if someone knows other form to flash the firmware could help.
i read about some galaxy devices loosing the imei after one update ,if i dial *#06# it shows my device .
if i go to settings and mobile networks and try to select the network(telcel) i won't let me register on the network.
i hope everyone have a nice day and maybe someone could help me.
So i have the galaxy s5 16gb model on atat with the latest update and i cant get a sim card to get any network connection at all. I get signal bars on the device sometimes and other times i get a circle with a line through it. I also cannot find a network operator when i go into the mobil network settings. The device wont even let me do emergency calls when i have a sim in but when i take the sim out emergency calls work. This device had both a cracked screen and replaced body because of damages but other then that the device is 100% stock. So anyone here have any ideas also i'll post some pics of the issues.
