[Q] I need Stock Firmware - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys,
I need I9500UBUAMDK stock firmware. All links that I have found are on hotfile and hotfile is dead. Can anyone help me?

Goto http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
Then search with the firmware code you want. You need to register account to Sammobile to download. Hope this helps

For what country? It doesn't exist for Turkey. The I9500UBUAMDK is for South America. You can find it anyway: HERE

When I searched "I9500UBUAMDK" from Sammobile firmwares, it gave out results of version 4.2.2 So its basically 4.2 with small bug fixes. I tried google it, but did not find pure "4.2" version?

You need Germany-DBT XXUBMEA from sammobile if you read the other threads you will find pre-rooted versions. Yes you will loose root by flashing the stock firmware! But you can just root it again
Hope this helps

Will I loose my apps after flashing ???
Yes that's the one for a clean install its recommended you wipe before flashing,in which case yes you will lose your apps! You can try without wiping but you may run into problems.

Sorry to say 4.2.2 "mdk" fw is one year old and is very buggy....
You don't explain what you are going to do. You have better to flash any 4.3 version custom roms or stock as you want expected you are not with 4.4 bootloader locked.
I need to downgrade and unlock sim my understanding that you can only release with galaxsim with "mdk" or before "MG9" so I want to download "mdk" but can not find and hotfile does not work

[Q] What firmware am I on?

Hi,
I'm currently running jellybean 4.3
AP:N9005XXUBMJ1
CP:N9005XXUBMI6
CSC:N9005OXXBMJ1
I want to update to 4.4.2 Kitkat, but I'm not sure which firmware to download on sammobile site.
How do I check what country my firmware is from?
The firmware doesn't have any carrier branded stuff which I would like to keep.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Cheers
Use your countries unbranded fw

Install 'Phone INFO ★Samsung★' app and you will get all info you need.
- To check what country your firmware is from: under the CSC INFO section.
- To get the right firmware to download on sammobile site: enter the Menu --> Firmware Browser...
Download link in my signature.

Thanks. I just realised that I'm running Australia (which is where I'm from) XSA software. latest version is 4.3.... is it worth using a different countries firmware?
Is it risky?
I have root currently and my KNOX is 0x0 and I'd like to keep it that way.. I want to have 4.4.2 unbranded with root.
Any recommendation on which version I should download? and instructions for root?
does KINGO android root trip the KNOX counter?

Im not sure but i guess if you flash via odin it will be a fresh clean install so you better backup all your data and go for it.
The process is quite simple, just download 4.4 rom from sammobile and make sure you have the drivers installed in your PC.
There is an explanation of the process in sammoblie just follow it.
GL and let us know if it worked :good:
PS: No root needed
