MOTO G 4G/LTE
Motorola 4G/LTE will require Motorola Update Services in order to upgrade to Android L. In order to upgrade you'll have to download and install the update when it's available from Google Play Store.
As always, updates roll out in waves - you may not be first.
Also - OTA (Over the Air) is the ONLY supported method of updating at this time.
Update 04/02/2015: Android Lollipop 5.1 is now slated for the update - skipping 5.0.x

First post and congratulations, you just showed the majority of users. "GIVE US, WE DEMAND, LISTEN TO ME NOW !". At some point I wish that the delay will be as long as possible so the kids around will rage for way longer with their demands and foam on mouth.
Good news anyways, Nice to hear that work is near end. Motorola programmers, you da MVP's ! (I bet that this customer service spam and all the hate around had some impact on the release day... I'm sure of it...)

You need to turn off your phone and computer once for a while and "disconnect"...
Because there isn't any OTA so far ? well it's that simple.
go to sleep now
I still don't get why people get so worked up over a limited test build that's been pushed out to a few users. You've seen how buggy 5.0/5.0.x is not only on nexus devices but on the very same brazilian build that was posted here. 4.4.4 in comparison is stable and predictable, why would you leave that behind for buggy software? These very same people that want lollipop at any cost already have GPE edition to try...
Just be thankful the update is on its final phase, and be even more thankful that someone brought the news for us to read. Probably not much further from now you'll wake up to an update notification.
Hey guys, i have the New OTA File (220.21.28). I'll post soon!
1 - Great to know that Motorola people are still working on L. It was no difficult to imagine the update would take so long to come, since L is still buggy right now and the code needs to be cleaned from Google. I hate that Recent apps bug and no silence mode after vibration mode when tapping volume buttons. If Moto takes another month to release the OTA, it will be great. BUT, I just wish that they release at least 5.0.2 OTA and firmware images instead of 5.1, to resolve that brick problem on downgrading the bootloader by mistake!
2 - That "frog guy" is comming... he can smell this type of threads. You will see a lot of frogs posted here in a few hours.
3 - Because of the frogs, this thread will be closed.

Actually, it's generally accepted that that wasn't actually something Einstein said. It's only mentioned in the writings of Frederick Perls and he cites it in two books - differently. It actually looks like it's a much older quote going back to the 1800s France.
It also just doesn't sound like the kind of thing Einstein would have said.

I have a question after I read around on the topics but it still unclear for me. Can I update to lollipop with the model. I saw the post on Note 4 general site (Lollipop Update Thread By Variants) which give user to update but as far as I try to update it via OTA it has no new version at all. So should I update through the site's link or wait for the update (I know the waiting cannot be told for how long it take for each country but just little doubt if I can update via the link or should I wait for the OTA update?)
Thanks for advance suggestion guys.
Where did you buy your SM-N910G ?

Can you change to english please I am not good in tagalog but it is currently possible via odin right? thanks
Thank you guys I already found the solution for this matter. It seems like lollipop update will not go on your device via OTA but you need to use Kies for the update. Once you plug in your device to computer while kies is running then the update will pop up for Lollipop update. For someone who gets the same problem please do the following then you will be able to update to lollipop even though you are not in India.
Thread closed thanks.
ROM downloaded with XperiFirm and pre-rooted with PRFCreator.
CDA (customization version): 1280-7864
It will flash SuperSU and LockedDualRecovery (it will overwrite your current recovery).
You need to be on any rooted ROM already with custom recovery to flash a .zip file with this firmware!
You don't loose any data, you keep root, you update your firmware to the newest Lolipop build .270.

I believe it's the same changelog as the Z3 23.1.A.1.28 build:

Tnx guys !!
5.1.1 update seems is not that far away.
On my Nexus 7 2013 working perfect, final and polished version.
Hope same will be on a Z1 compact, .242 firmware is fine for me, except ocassional ram/redraw apps problems, typical for 5.0.2 android.
Can someone check please if there's an Hebrew keyboard?
Hi,
I searched for instructions flashing from .zip file but I couldn't find any. Could you please describe the steps?
Thanks and regards.
You can flash this only if you have Custom Recovery flashed in your phone. If you have then boot into it, choose Flash .ZIP file or similar feature and you flash it. You have to put the .zip file on the SD card before this step.
If you don't have Custom Recovery or don't know how to use it - this is not a thread for you, sorry.
Region
Now I have a doubt, if I flash this in Spain, would it work? Is Europe, but no central...
Does Xposed work fine with this update?
Hello , will we receive next update 14.5.A.0.283 ???? Or will we have to update through pc companion or so please ?????
Thanks
I will post .283 version when it will be available for Central Europe region. So far it's available for T-mobile branded regions only.
Hi,
Sorry if the question is silly but will I be able to update to official sony 5.1.1 after flashing this rom? Will I still have root after update?

The version of this PRF is 5.0.2, the 5.1.1 has not been released by Sony yet.
He meant if he will get the update notification once Sony releases 5.1.1 with this ROM installed. My thoughts are probably yes you will get notification since this is stock basically.

Hello i have Samsung Galaxy S5 from uk h3g is from three mobile is neverlocked why i don't recieve update to android 6.0.1? my rom is stock 5.0
Because *afaik* 3 mobile UK hasn't released 6.0 for the S5 yet. I am with 3 UK too, but I got sick and tired of waiting so I flashed a BTU firmware (unbranded) and will upgrade to 6.0 as soon as I'm satisfied that the bugs that are holding me away from 6.0 have been rectified.
If i want to flash rom from samfirmware with odin3 ex : uk or romanian unbranded rom is ok or i need something Pda csc?. sory for my english
If your device is running H3G firmware and you are getting good signal where you live, then the UK BTU firmware should also be fine.

now i have Vodafone Ro sim in my s5 and my signal is ok. Aniway i don't understand why samsung not release update for three too ))
It's not down to Samsung mate......
They've made the updates available....that's all they can do.
It's down to the network provider.....
They have to release it to their devices, and for whatever reason, they haven't updated this device yet.....

Good news Honor 8 owners we are giving some of you the chance to help us test out EMUI 5 and Android N on your Honor 8. Sounds great yeah? Just remember this is going to be pre-release software, things may be broken, you may end up struggling to use your phone, but that's all good we want you to help us find & squash the bugs.
So what do you need to do to get the new stuff on your phone? Well that is easy, you install an app, enroll on the project and then towards the end of the month we will be pushing out the OTA to those that have had their applications approved.
So what do you need?
- An Honor 8 (FRD-L09)
- To be based in the UK.
- To have an active SIM card in your phone.
- To be on build number C432B131
- It cannot be bootloader unlocked, it cannot have a custom recovery or be rooted to receive the OTA.
You can get the APK for the BETA app & the guidelines for how to install and enroll here. Once downloaded install it on your phone, when you run the app on your phone you will be prompted to either log into an existing Huawei ID account (the one you use to download EMUI themes will do) or to create a new one, once done you can accept the terms
To enroll on the BETA test you will need to be on build number B131, an OTA to update UK Honor 8 from B120>B131 will be rolling out today, once you are on B131 you can enroll on the BETA test.
Numbers are limited, when we hit the limit of enrolled users that is it. This is a project to help find bugs and issues before the general rollout of future updates for the Honor 8. It is not a general public rollout. We will be hosting discussions here in the forums to discuss bugs etc and to post details about future updates for the BETA.
If you have problems either installing the APK, signing into Huawei ID or enrolling on the BETA please leave the following details below and we will get back to you.

Update – 18/11/2016
There are two new versions of the Huawei BETA APK have been made available for use in this BETA test for the Honor 8.
During the initial enrollment and rollout phases of the Android N BETA test across Europe a bug became apparent. With the initial version of the app, if a user was to update to Android N and then perform a factory reset, they would be unable to reinstall the app, meaning that they could no longer submit bugs. This bug was due to a slight incompatibility with the app and Android N.
So to solve this issue there are two new versions of the app, one for users running Android M and want to enroll on the BETA and another for users on Android N and who want to submit bug reports or to leave to the BETA project.
Whichever version you have please download the APK from the links below, copy it to your device and then install it using the file manager. These updated apps will overwrite your existing apps. If you are on Android N running the BETA app version V2.1.10 then you do not need to worry, just continue to use the app as you were and update the app once you are on Android N.
As mention there are two versions for you to use.
Beta 2.2.12 - Android N: This can be downloaded from here.
Beta 2.1.12 - Android M: This can be downloaded from here.
Any questions about the updated BETA APKs please leave comments below.
Update - 24/11/2016
Good news, for those users who want to go back to Android 6 (Marshmallow / EMUI 4) the rollback packages are now available for the FRD-L09 and FRD-L19 models, along with the FRD-L09C432B131 firmware for you to restore your Honor 8 to the state it was in before the BETA.
So you may be wondering how all of this works, basically you need to download two things, the rollback package and the Android M firmware. Below are the links for all of the files.
FRD-L09
FRD-L09 Rollback Package - Download from here.
FRD-L09C432B131 Android M Firmware - Download from here.
FRD-L19
FRD-L19 Rollback Package - Download from here.
FRD-L19C432B131 Android M Firmware - Download from here.
The rollback package contains two files, a dload folder containing an update.app and a PDF explaining the process. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE PDF before you start the process, also ensure anything you may need is backed up beforehand as YOUR PHONE WILL BE RESET during this process. To do the rollback you need to extract the contents of the RAR file and move the dload folder onto the SD card on your phone, it cannot be put on the internal memory and the SD card cannot contain any other dload folders, update.app files or update.zip files. Follow the instructions in the PDF about how to flash the rollback firmware and then once the phone has rebooted you will be ready to flash the Android M firmware. Again follow the instructions in the PDF, extracting the dload folder from the compressed folder and moving it to your SD card. Follow the same method as before and your phone after a short period of down time will reboot onto build number C432B131.
Again any queries, questions or comments about any of the process mentioned here please leave a comment below.

This is for UK. Based on Model, it will vary.
Currently the Beta test is conducted for US, UK and Indian Variant.
Hi there. At the moment in Europe the BETA test is only for UK and France. Further countries may come in the following weeks.

Tried with build C432B131 but in Germany on FRD-L09 , unfortunately no project to join with my phone here in Germany.
Any hint on when we Germans can join, too? I would really like to contribute.

Russia?
How about Greece?
There is no local Honor team (as far as I know) and I hardly even got OTAs back with my old Honor 6.

Well they have confirmed UK and France, Germany should be coming in weeks other countires in europe: later. We will see.
If you had beta tests previously for devices in Greece I can't see any reason why you would not have now.
Sorry to says this but Switzerland won't be part of the BETA test.

What about Slovenia?
How come only certain countries are part of the beta? Why don't you rather do an XDA community beta. I think the feedback would be Great, because XDA community is spread all aroubd the world and has tech savy users that can give valuable feedback.

Hoping i'm accepted.
Signed up via the beta app yesterday but still pending. In the meantime the accepted user count keeps increasing

I don't think Greece had beta tests previously. With OTAs I meant regular ROM updates.
Hope that Greece will eventually be part of the beta and the update in general.
After all, they say that EMUI 5 aesthetics are inspired by the Aegean Sea. It will be kinda a shame to not roll it out in Greece

Its because of the change in models and the changes depending on the carriers, sponsors etc.
Each model will have different update. So XDA beta can't happen unless there is only one variant across the globe.

This is bollocks, whole EU has the same model, FRD-L09. It is just easier for them to control the beta experience if they release it in closed of groups in only a few countries, because they can better tailor it to the carriers. But even if the beta isn't customised for local carriers it should work continent-wide, networks are using largely the same frequencies, give or take a few LTE bands.
So I still think, XDA betas could be done, was there enough interest from the manufacturer.

You have answer for your question yourself.
Beta is also customized for the carriers and according to local sponsors, Guideliness specific to that region. Its easy to speak about give and take etc... But for implementation, it is not possible.
So a user in Brazil captured a snapshot of the official OTA soak test and it's been making its rounds on Twitter. Users in Brazil, Mexico, and India can install this without problems but me (USA) and another Twitter user (Germany) are unable to install it. It cannot find the update for some reason. (YES it is in the root of internal storage, YES Motorola update has storage permission, YES I restarted my phone and redownloaded the file many times)
I am not willing to root but I am curious if there is any way I can get this OTA version to work on the USA model of the G5+.
If anyone can help me get Oreo on my phone without root I'd greatly appreciate it! Thank you!

You have to be on 137-92-14 to update (this is the software for India and Brazil).
As you're from US you should be on 137-93-14 or earlier. So there's no way to update your device to Oreo without rooting until the Oreo OTA for reteu/retus get's leaked.
